We stayed for a night and absolutely loved it. Both our evening meal and breakfast the next day were two of the best meals we've had. We will be back!

Only 250 metres from Scotland this very smart Hotel is in an ideal, quiet location with scenic views over the North Sea. Rooms are clean and tidy; breakfast choices are very good; staff are polite and friendly, as well as helpful. A place to remember fondly and to return to again.

Sadly my wife and I were staying here for a family funeral. That said we had a lovely couple of nights there in one of the pods! Don’t knock them without trying it out! Uber compact but you know what they are well appointed and fun to stay in for a few nights. Food was truly lovely, staff are delightful and the location is breathtakingly lovely.

A lovely luxury hotel in a beautiful setting. We stayed here for a few nights as a family with a toddler and had a great stay. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating and were absolutely fantastic with our little one. The stables suite we had was great (a few small details such as coat hooks would have helped, but overall fantastic accommodation). The food standard was very high for both breakfast and dinner, and sitting on the garden terrace for drinks was a highlight. You can get straight out on the A1 to explore Northumberland’s coast.

After a few days on Holy Island, we stopped here for a night. It was a very nice hotel, everywhere was clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The dinner menu was a bit too seafood-oriented for us so we went into Berwick-upon-Tweed. Breakfast was very nice though. The weather was appalling so we didn't get out and about at all. The only downside was that the TV had no means of connecting a USB drive, only HDMI. Easily sorted via an extension cable.

We had been gifted an afternoon tea voucher as a Christmas gift and a dismal April day seemed a good day to use it. Beautiful location and very nice interior and exterior. Afternoon tea was very tasty, albeit it very sweet biased. Scones were beautiful. We didn't take our dog but there was another dog there.

Stayed for one night en route to drive the North Coast 500. Room was clean and well equipped, dinner and breakfast were both really good, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly too.

No idea why this place is getting good reviews. I love leaving 5 star reviews for places but this fish and chip shop was in my 5 worst I've ever had. Maybe they just had a bad day? The wait to be served was very long. We awkwardly sat staring up at the counter for ages. The batter was quite bizarre for a fish and chip shop. It was incredibly crumbly and just fell apart so you couldn't really keep it attached to and eat it with the fish. It tasted very strange and was wet and kind of eggy in middle. Most batters I've had are white in the middle, not yellow. The cod was embarrassingly thin (see picture). Absolutely tiny and basically hidden amongst the batter. It was also tough and flavourless. The cold chips tasted like plastic. The watered down vinegar didn't have a taste to it. The 'Cod' and chips were £17. Highly over priced for a disappointing meal. The interior is really nice, the waitress was nice enough but gets you to do all the passing of the plates when handing out and collecting them. We definitely would not recommend this place at all and I'd love to know under what circumstances it won awards!!
