Marugame Udon in City of London, Westminster

Had the chicken katsu curry, and it was really good! Good sauce, good noodles, good chicken, good value. I think I’ll be back here again.

I used to come here quite regularly until the food because inconsistent so this is the first time in months I've been. Ordered a Japanese curry with rice, which is vegetarian. So it was delightful to see a piece of meat in the curry sauce. I'm never going back again.

A nice place to have a quick and sizeable portion of udon for a reasonable price. The food was tasty and service was quick.

My friend visits various branches so had vouchers off which we could use making it such great value . We visited around 3.30 when it was quieter but not empty, lovely staff especially Adrian, photographed who was kind and patient and went over and above. The vegan menu is good though the tofu was dry and cold which was a shame but the rest, the condiment table drinks etc were all great and just as we needed Joining their club gives many offers and deals (we were handed a Katsu meal deal which we didn't have) Really stylish, clean lower ground floor toilets which were a pleasure to use. I'll be back and highly recommend to anyone.

Visited during a busy Saturday evening. Food reasonably priced. Had the chicken teriyaki with sticky rice and the chicken balls udon. Overall good and flavours nice. Unfortunately sauces just poured over the meats. Overall disappointing. Long wait to pay also meaning standing around waiting and food getting cold.

It was the first time I tried udon, and I really liked. The udon was spicy and the chicken was perfect. There a lot of options of asian food there.

Staff were rude, not helpful when I asked about the concept of the restaurant and was pestered by a waiter to leave a review whilst eating my meal.

This was my first time at Marugame Udon, I bordered beef curry udon noodles, paid £9.75 There was not much food in the big container, maybe the food filled 1/4 of the container. I was in shock when I opened it, i paid £10 for very little food, what a rip off, it’s hard to believe! I did pay for small portion but I wasn’t expecting to be this small. Use smaller containers maybe so it doesn’t look so shockingly small. Not impressed, that small portion left bad taste and I won’t be returning

Walking around Spitalfields, we wanted lunch and came across Marugame Udon in Middlesex Street. It was a good opportunity to try udon noodles (made from milled flour, water and salt but no eggs, as opposed to ramen). All three of us tried different dishes: chicken katsu udon, Pork tonkotsu, Miso yaki udon with sweet potato in tempura. And they were all fine. Some of the recent comments on here would suggest that it would be terrible, but it really wasn't.

Fast food are usually tasty but here the food is tasteless. Big portions, I got a chicken katsu regular but it was huge. I really didn’t like it, reason why I leave 1 star.

Below mediocre food. Bland and tasteless. Staff look demotivated like they don’t want to be there either. Go to Wagamama instead!

Heavy going, dense udon and Katsu Chicken didn't mix. Wished I'd gone for rice option as is traditionally eaten with katsu, but wanted to try the udon as is their specialty. Left a third of it as I didn't really enjoy it. Paid £10.45 for medium size and £1.65 for tempura courgette. The tempura was fine, good size for its price. Was the cheapest out of the range of tempuras. he service was quick. Shall not be revisiting nor recommending.

Don't bother. Overpriced and use the same sauce for everything just give it a different name! Toilets disgusting, and no paper. All show and no good. Very disappointing.

Awful. Veggie curry which consisted of sauce and two slices of carrot. Wtf!!!! Would rather eat vomit

I arrived late with a colleague, the angry guy behind the counter said no to everything we asked for off the menu, we then asked what they did have and we’d have that. A rancid broth with a meagre portion of cold udon, some dried out gyozo & some burned dedicated breaded chicken, two beers in leaky pint glasses. Absolutely awful & all for £30. Absolutely con. I left a review on google & the owners said they would respond within 48hrs, they didn’t. So many great places to go in this area I’ve no idea why this place exists, shamefull treatment of customers & truly dreadful food. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Mi sono fermata in questo locale per pranzo con un’amica. Varie scelte di bowl di riso oppure Udon personalizzabili e delle tempura eccezionali. Si fa la fila al banco e si ordina direttamente il piatto scelto, riducendo i tempi di attesa. Le bibite sono gratis comprese nel prezzo e vi lasciano portarvi via l’acqua (se avete bottigliette vuote quindi non buttatele). Con 17£ ho mangiato una bowl regular di riso al curry, due gyoza in tempura, verdure pastellate, petto di pollo e zucca sempre in tempura. Qualità ottima, personale gentile. SUPER CONSIGLIATO

Don’t eat there All fried which is bad MSG in soups and chicken ramen and possible others Atmosphere not the greatest. I feel like I am eating in a canteen Card system for loyalty expires too quickly Nothing authentic about this place Not a lot of vegan options compared to other places like Wagamama but they also put MSG in their food as well as sulfites My point is the food might be testy, msg helps, but I can longer trust them

Bel locale in pieno centro città. Stile tavola calda, efficace e con prezzi decisamente contenuti. Da tenere sempre in considerazione per non tornare a casa e dire "Londra costa troppo"

Very good catering food delicious and service excellent would highly recommend would definitely go again
