I ordered Chicken 65 and Rogan Josh. Chicken 65 was nice and tasted fresh with curry leaves and a nice chutney. The Rogan Josh was a disappointment. It tasted a little strange, not fresh and with an weird flavor. There was SO much lamb (which tells me they’re trying to get rid of old food?) And there was almost no sauce/gravy. The sauce had a strange flavor like chilli powder was added at the end to make it spicy and give a red colour, and the only other flavor just lamb and meat, like lamb stew. No real balance of flavor or use of whole spices, although I saw a cardamom pod but I couldn’t actually taste it. Seems it was for show Also I think tomato paste was used and not fresh tomatoes because it had a bitter flavor. No taste of ginger or garlic or real depth. Some lamb pieces were tiny and other pieces were huge. I couldn’t even chew most of it because it was dry and tough It was a shame because Rogan Josh is usually such a beautiful dish with so much flavor. I’d rather have less lamb but better quality, and with a nice sauce The rice tasted like microwaved rice. The papad, bread and mint chutney very nice. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong dish with Rogan Josh. I expected way better. Staff friendly and host was nice and welcoming. They acknowledged my complaint about the dry overcooked lamb, and they offered me a *small* discount. I wasn’t really bothered about a few pounds saved. I’d rather have eaten better curry I’d probably not come again

I’ve been several times at masala zone for a good reason and definitely recommend it. I went there over 12 years ago and come back every time I’m sticking around. What can I say, food is perfect every time and the place is very cozy. What I’d like to see more is that the woman sitting on the table is also asked for opinion/orders more. From time to time this is a little odd situation when the waitresses only talk to the man.

We ordered takeout from Masala Zone, which included a Butter Chicken Thali, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Chicken 65. The Butter Chicken, Lamb, and Chicken 65 were the highlights of the meal, nicely spiced and full of flavour. However, the veggie dishes and daal were below average and quite tasteless. I would suggest choosing your dishes carefully. Thanks

I took my husband there for his birthday, as it was recommended to me as one of the best Indian restaurants in London! He doesn’t eat much Indian food, I was hoping this experience will change his mind. Little did I know! The food was cold and definitely not authentic or fresh, it may have microwaved? Small portions and poor quality not worth the money we paid. I would not recommend it to anyone! However the staff were very nice and friendly

Few options for families with children, when we looked at the menu we checked with them about the spicy level and the only meal suggested without spicy was saffron korma, so we ordered a couple because we didn't know the portion size, we had to order a couple of bowls of plain rice as all the dishes come alone without anything else. We also ordered a couple of dishes that the waiter said to be medium spicy. When we got the dishes we tried them and the ones advertised medium were uncomfortable spicy, but we were told to be spicy so obviously we didn't complain. The saffron chicken was very rich, we had few spoons and we couldn't eat anymore, it had too much cream. The best thing we had was the garlic bread. The food is definitely for people who like spicy food, meaning hot. Not recommended for families.

Last week I didn’t get a delivery that I had paid for on-line and couldn’t get through to the restaurant. It was really frustrating but a few days Masala zone management from Earl’s Court contacted me and said they had a major glitch with the bookings system and telephone. Tonight they delivered me a free meal, delivered by a waitress in an Uber. How is that for fantastic service? It was very much appreciated. Thank you to Pravesh, Andra and the lovely waitress who made the delivery.

**Amazing food and great experience!** As an Indian living in the US, I've had the opportunity to try many Indian restaurants over the years, but this one truly stands out. We loved the food so much that we ate here twice during our stay in London. The flavors and quality were absolutely top-notch, easily ranking this restaurant as one of my favorites in the city. The restaurant staff and quality of service was excellent. I've dined at Dishoom before, and I can confidently say that some dishes here were on par, if not better. Every bite felt authentic and full of flavor, a perfect balance of spices. I highly recommend this restaurant to friends, family, and anyone traveling to London. Went to masala zone on Saturday 11th for a birthday meal with my parents and husband, but instead of it being a fun memorable evening with great food and company, the evening quickly became memorable for all the wrong reasons, I had ordered the bhel, which was shared among the table, to my first mouthful containing a very stringy item, which I thought was ginger so I kept moving it around my mouth, to finally figure out it was a massive clump of hair! As I was spitting it out in disgust the waiter asked if everything is okay. And I said “no I just had hair in my food and mouth” before I can take a picture of it she quickly rushed the plate off, told me a manager is coming to speak to me, she brought over another bhel, like I was going to eat that after the incident. Told her I cannot even look at it without envisioning hair. She took it away apologised told me a report is filed. Came to check in a few times. When it came to the bill she said we’ve already removed the bhel from the bill like they were doing me a favour! We saw the chef with the long hair, he didn’t have all his hair in the hair net! Disgusting!!! Since this incident, I have been so ill. Don’t think I will be going back for hair with a side off food.

From the moment we stepped foot inside, we were greeted with warm hospitality I had the pleasure of trying the chicken Briyani, and I must say it was the best I've ever tasted. Before our main course, we tried in the panipuris as starters, and they were a delightful treat. Despite arriving extremely late when the kitchen was about to close, the staff members at Masala Zone were incredibly friendly. They never rushed us or made us feel unwelcome. They also ensured we had a wonderful time and even allowed us to order more food at a later stage. Very kind staff and a beautiful establishment, but absolutely not worth the price. The drinks and the curries were very obviously watered down and rice--a core component of all curry dishes--was not automatically included and in fact cost nearly £5 extra. Both the rice and the curries were themselves rather small portions with a very low meat-sauce ratio, and, in regards to flavour, was absolutely sub-par, and tasted more like the result of a 30-min internet recipe than an ostensibely fancy resturant. The worst part, though, is the 12.5% gratuity service charge automatically added to all checks, the addition of which they do not clear with the customer first (beyond writing it at the bottom of the menu in small print). We spent nearly £100 and departed still-hungry and more than a little disappointed.

Good food, authentic Indian spices, my only point is the portion size compared to the price wished they serve a bit bigger portion tho. Masala Zone restaurants are part of a unique collection of London’s best Indian restaurants. It was created in 2001 out of a passion for customers to enjoy proper Indian food as eaten by Indians daily in India. This was after the success with CHUTNEY MARY & VEERASWAMY, the celebrated fine dining Indian restaurants. This was to counter the false image that the thousands of Bangladeshi curry-houses in the UK served authentic Indian food. The first Masala Zone restaurant, in Soho, rapidly became one of the most popular Indian restaurants in the UK. There are now 4 restaurants all in London.

There was no rushing involved throughout and we weren’t pressure to buy more drinks. As we eat a great deal of Indian food, it was great to have some options that are a variation on the standard. Starters were excellent and hard to choose as there were so many that sounded delicious. Madras Chicken 65, Fishcakes and Poppadums were perfect and the Tomato and Chilli Chutney was brilliant. Mains we ordered two curries. Our server did warn my son that his choice (Mangalore Chicken?) was very spicy… precisely why he ordered it! Our favorite Indian food spot nearby house. Their Biriyani is authentic. I loved the place very much.

The following items were disappointing: Dahl Paneer makhanwala Chappatis Very expensive overall so you would expect it to be worth it. We offered to come again next year as we often go to the Soho restaurant of this mini chain which is far better. Yes, the same cooking formula is used but there is a marked difference from the Soho restaurant. Manager was apologetic which we were sympathetic to and offered free dessert. We declined. We agreed that we would come again next year and see if any better before we sign this restaurant off. Been around the world so we know what this food tastes like or supposed to taste like. I would also suggest just a couple more vegetarian dishes. The staff were great....I suggest the manager sits with me next time ....I can talk about food all day.

This is the best chicken biryani I have ever tried in London. For your information, I have tried biryani in other restaurants, this is the best for me. Tastes are different and the dishes he orders are very delicious. A simple note: the biryani dish is small and the quantity is very small. Whoever loves to eat orders two plates of biryani 🤣

Everything was amazing – in our two-day weekend trip to London, we aimed to hit up this place "twice," but unfortunately ended up making it just once! That really says a lot about how much we savored the food, valued the service, and liked in the ambiance.

Vi bestilte en menu med 7 små retter som skulle gøre det ud for en hovedret. De kom ind to og to med lidt pause imellem. Alle retter var velsmagende og helt anderledes en standardretter på en indisk restaurant i Danmark.

It wasn't chicken balti and not even mild spicy which I requested while ordering the food. It was sweet and sour kind of taste.

"Asian" seems a bit misleading, this is, as far as I understand, solely Indian restaurant. But a good one, definitely. Butter chicken was excellent.

Super kind staff and pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious but portions were too small. It doesn’t match the price
