Massala in South Somerset

We have always been huge fans of Indian food, we moved local to Narberth and had tried most of the curry houses nearby but had never been truly happy, after visiting Masala’s tonight I think we have found somewhere. Service, quality, authenticity where more than the usual,so happy we called... looking forward to visiting again to sample different dishes. Well worth a visit

We have just spent a few days in Narberth & really fancied a Curry one evening, we decided on Massala & so glad we did, the lovely staff greeted us with a warm welcome, the service was superb & the food exceptional, so good we hardly spoke to each other during the meal.. Lol. The following day ( our last day of the holiday) we decided to go back, that’s how good it was, & everything was just the same as the day before.. Such a shame will live so far away or this would be our local.. Highly recommended 👍😊

Curry was watery rice was oily not great had better

When I cut into the chicken it looked like next day chinese. It should have been fresh instead it gave me stomachache.

sadly not a great takeaway , oily food and chewy meat . £0.90 per pot of papadom sauce which was tiny - in my opinion over priced and not good ! won’t order from here again .

The food was great and on time. However the naan Bread was burnt but editable.

I got the vegetable korma and was very disappointed with it. It was basically just sugary sauce, with a few peas, green beans and ONLY 3 cubes of potato. Not even enough to amount to a whole potato. Won't be ordering from here again.

The food arrived after an hour and a half. Paid £7 for 7 popaddoms for two to arrive all broken up in the bag like someone had been eating them. When I complained about it the owners were rude, laughing at me whilst I was complaining and refused to be helpful. Won’t ever be ordering from this restaurant again. Disgusting service.

Due to be delivered at 8.10, 8.35 still not arrived but according to the app "delivered"?!! Called to complain and am told "were very busy, it was a mistake/someone hit the wrong button." Absolutely awful service, very unimpressed!!

Food is always great when it arrives but is later than he estimate and there is always an additional 15mins added to the original time

According to the wedsite it showed delivered before it arrived at the door? Onion Bhaji's cold. Lamb Bhuna Tasted like Old Beef. The Chicken was white in the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi and Tasteless. I'll stick to ordering from Cloves in the future and pay the extra fiver.

Unlike other indian takeaways, their food was full of flavour and not oil. Really pleased with the quality. My only gripe was that the popadoms didn't come with mint sauce, other then that, food was amazing, definitely will order again.

The restaurant were short staffed so my order came about 35 minutes late. It’s the first time I’ve ordered from here so I contacted the resataurant and they were very apologetic. As soon as I got off the phone my doorbell rang and my food was lovely. I was not even bothered by the time it arrived because my food was so good. I will definitely be ordering from Massala again without any hesitation !

FOOD WAS DELICIOUS FULL OF TASTE!

the food was absolutly Devine. great portion size. steaming hot. only down fall they added 10minutes to delivery and then fokd was 15mins late after that. I called and they said should come any minute. worth the wait.

Consistently good, hot food delivered on time or earlier than stated. They always supply the free potatoes over £20 orders, and appreciate the gesture. Excellent takeaway. Recommend 100%

The food is OK, but the 1 hour 50 minute wait was way beyond acceptable, fully 40 minutes beyond their own estimate. When I rang, because they didn't bother to contact me, I was told it was out for delivery. But that still took another 20 minutes for a journey of barely half a mile. I have better things to do with 105 minutes than sit waiting on this place again.

It took nearly 90 minutes to deliver around the corner because they were having a busy Tuesday night (according to the restaurant). The veg curry was as spicy as my mothers Irish stew, but other than that the food tasted good. shame they couldn't deliver in a reasonable time.

Food didn’t taste nice and was cold and half the masala was leaked all over the bag so yeah not great and definetely wouldn’t order again

We love Massala and keep coming back for more. Only once did we get a meal we felt was below their normal standard, but still better than any other Indian takeaway we've tried. Their Peshawar naan is to die for!

I have ordered few times. They change things like diet coke to coke. Always do not have items ordered I will avoid this restaurant in future.

I could not find the lychee in prawn lychee.The food was fresh and warm with good delivery. This is the second time I have ordered .Good overall and warm food.

Order was put back 10 minutes by takeaway from 20.55 to 21.05....phoned them at 21.20...they said they were very busy (you have my number....good customer service would be to phone and apologise) and it should be with me in 10 minutes.....20 minutes later I ohone Just Eat and spoke to someone with no customer service skills who just asked 'what do you want me to do'.......food arrived 5 minutes later. Food was hot, so it had obviously been forgotten and was cooked AFTER my phone call to takeaway. Food was of good quality.....HOWEVER, the poor service for second consecutive meal (missed item from last order) means I shall not use this takeaway again.

Appalling customer service and full of negligence. 3rd time they have missed items , when rang they will not refund or deliver them. Told will be given on next order. Have informed just eat as how many other customers pay for items they do not receive Will never be ordering from here ever again and advise no one else to either

I ordered lamb biryani with vegetable curry. The vegetable curry was not the usual what usually comes with the order. it was very dark in colour and the texture was mushy . it spoilt my dinner. but the rest of the order was fine and very hot when it was delivered, which was unusual.

First time ordering from here and was a little disappointed as the order took 1.5 hours to arrive, and by the time it came the papadums were chewy and inedible and the chapati had gone soggy. Saying that, I would order again as the curry and coconut rice were SO delicious.

Best indian takeaway ive had in barking and dagenham, never had an issue with food being late or order being wrong, and always delicious.

Food was alright, still hot on arrival, however some of my food had leaked and it arrived very late, arriving over 1 hr 30min after ordering.

Possibly the worst curry I have eaten. A watery Madras.

We request the food come around 8pm as we had things to do and the food arrived an hour earlier. My food was luke warm and wasnt very nice the spinich and cheese was very watery the rice was hard

The resturant changed delivery time to 15 mins later, so took an hour and 15 mins but then did arrive on time. Korma was very oily and not very hot

was unnecessarily spicy. i am a desi guy who grew up eating Indian food. i can assure that the level of spicy it was was not as per typical standard. was spicy for the sake of it not taste.

I'm Asian and I know good cooked food from a mile away as I cook Indian on a every day basic. I ordered a lamb Tika biriyani, daal, Mix grill, and a kabab role and trust me this food was perfect! A 10 out of 10. I am one of those people that never bother to leave feedbacks unless I have had an horrible experience but this food was beyond amazing. Best Indian I have ordered and definitely will be ordering again.

1hr 10 wait for delivery. Lamb korma had no taste, sauce was grainy and the 5 pieces of meat which it contained was not meat but fat. My partner liked his chicken madras

The food was lovely, although it's appreciated you guys are trying to keep the food hot when delivered, your food containers are burning hot! Scolded myself more than once when trying to pour the food out.

Food took over an hour and a half to arrive when originally told it would take 40min. Staff had no explanation for this and no knowledge of when it would arrive. When called for an update they were of no help. If I could award 0 stars, I would. When asked for discount for lateness, I was refused as the staff did not know how to obtain one through just eat. I would not order from this takeaway again, and would also urge others not to either.

First time I ordered from Massala & unfortunately i won't order from here again. My lamb korma was rather bland & the the lamb was fatty.

Chicken pathia tasted like it had been made with cheap curry powder rather than put together with authentic spices. Keema naan was good.

What I had was very good. Also thank goodness, not excessively sweet and with the right amount of salt. Just right for me.

I ordered lamb dish but the quality of lamb was so poor. It's wasn't possible for me to chew that lamb it was like a rubber. I always order from just eat but never had that bad quality of food.

Prawn Masala Curry was sweet off key for a masala dish should be sour with a minor punch of spice hence the name masala and the mint sauce was sweet not a normal mint sauce where it should be sour perhaps mention sweet mint sauce not Indian mint sauce.
