Maze Restaurant in Dundee City

Fuimos a tomar un té festivo por la tarde con una amiga para hacerla entrar en el espíritu navideño. Personal amable pero la zona para la tarde no tenía decoraciones navideñas y solo se puso un mantel blanco. Lo mismo en la mesa nada que dar alegría. Los sándwiches eran como una comida de fiesta infantil con rellenos pobres y un rollo básico de salchicha. Los pasteles estaban bien y un pastel picado y un poco robado para indicar que era un té de Navidad. El ambiente era plano, incluso la música era triste. Un día muy decepcionado y sin chispas.

Dado un menú restringido en lugar de uno anunciado, no hay razón dada. Esperó 45 minutos para ello, mala calidad, postre solo una rebanada de pastel con helado, no pudín de toffee pegajoso como se anuncia. Mal servicio. Sobreprecio por lo que era. Se quejó en ese momento y pidió ver al gerente, pero no había nadie disponible.

We were staying at the hotel and paid extra for Dinner & breakfast. Breakfast was good, good variety. Plenty fruit, yoghurts, hot breakfast items & pastries. Dinner on the first night was average, I got a fish and chips which looked really nice, however the fish was really greasy. My partner had the Cajun burger and he said it was nice. Second night we both had a steak. Steak cooked exactly how we asked. My steak was quite fatty, I couldn’t eat quite a bit of it. But it was nice. We did have to pay an extra £8 per meal for the steaks on top of which we originally paid for dinner & breakfast package. Would I have paid £24 for the steak if I didn’t have this package? Probably not. Wouldn’t say it was worth it. The second night the restaurant was closed so we had to eat at the bar. Meals did arrive quickly and staff were nice

Nice restaurant connected to the landmark hotel. We had our dinner here during our stay. The service is a bit clumsy, but well-intended. The prices of the mains are very reasonable and the dishes are tasty and well prepared. I had the beef stew ( excellent) and my friend the fish and chips (okay).

Dined here as part of a DBB package. Staff were all so friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is lovely, we had a nice view of the gardens. Given the price of our stay I wasn't expecting too much from the food. We were blown away by the meal. My husband's rump steak was really impressive.The coconut cheese cake with pineapple was incredible. Confused by the bad reviews, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.

Extremely disappointed. We opted for a bar lunch as there was the aftermath of a funeral in the actual restaurant. There was a very limited choice of three mains. All very overpriced, £18 for fish and chips, £16 for a very mediocre chicken burger and chips. We were waiting 45 minutes before our meal arrived and my oartner had to go to the bar to enquire what was happening as there were no waiting staff to ask. The fish was adequate but the burger was very disappointing as the advertised salad was simply a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato in the burger. I have had better at Burger King and I xo not like fast food outlets.

Cold coffee and no jam with scones but the worst was the sandwiches. The vegetarian choice was cheese on cheap dry bread. No relish, chutney not even butter. A wee tomato wouldn't have went amiss. But no, just cheese on dry bread with all the crusts left on. A least the cakes were passable.

Used a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea , We were shown to our table by a friendly and helpful member of staff . We had a pot of tea and a reasonable selection of sandwiches and cakes ,the sausage rolls were superb . Reasonable value for money

Had a nice stay at this hotel. Was surprised that room does not get serviced every day due to COVID. There was a note in room to tell us that but we didn’t read it, so it was a surprise when we returned after day out. People should be informed at checkin. Staff work hard and are very friendly. Food in restaurant was delicious. Breakfast food let’s the place down. I would not have thought it would be allowed to share serving spoons that everyone else had touched in the COVID regulations. I don’t like buffet breakfasts and prefer it to be freshly made to order. Black pudding was not cooked and eggs were lying getting hard. Staff at breakfast though were excellent especially Annie and Arlene who have worked there over 40 years! Those women work so hard and are such a credit to the hotel. Would stay again. Nice beer garden and grounds. Pool is small and you have to book. Do so before you get there as places are limited.

Overall very enjoyable Lunch.. there are plenty of hand sanitisation stations, waiting staff friendly and wearing appropriate ppe, the toilets were also clean,the food was very good.

Venue and building is very nice however I do think that the inside of the outside building is a bit dirty with some spider webs and such, but all in all very very cozy and very nice.

Una revisión atrasada de este encantador restaurante en el conservatorio del hotel Doubletree Hilton.Vinimos aquí el día de la madre, como lo hemos hecho muchas veces en ocasiones como esta. Cada vez que nunca decepciona.Té de alta calidad que consiste en té, café, tostadas, comida principal y muchos pasteles. La comida es muy buena y bien preparada y hay algo para todos los gustos, ya sea Tai Curry, pastel de carne, etc. El personal es excepcional y nada demasiado problema. Lovely venue and had a lovely breakfast and friendly staff too

Great place to wander, with or without dogs and kids. Local history to be seen here include the shell hoosie, Lady Kennedy's Bath, ice house. Wildlife such as deer, buzzards, herons etc can be seen. Lots of fairy houses to be seen as well.

El servicio era excelente - Nuestro servidor (Kate) era extremadamente atento, cortés y eficiente durante toda nuestra comida. Su servicio era de un nivel muy alto y hicieron que nuestra experiencia más especial y agradable.Opciones de comida eran amplios y bien presentada. Pasamos 5 noches en el hotel Doubletree en Dundee como hicimos turismo excursiones alrededor. Nos aprovechamos del restaurante para el desayuno cada mañana y varias cenas. First, I'm a vegan, I asked if there was anything I could eat, I got told yes. I got served two stale pieces of bread with dry salad in it, with a side if dry salad with HONEY and mustard dressing. I asked for humous, thinking that would be nice, but it was full or raw garlic.

Had a very nice evening meal at this restaurant . The meal its self was very good and the service was first class .The staff were efficient and made us feel welcome . The surroundings were pleasant with a lovely view over the grounds .

This was a disgrace what they served on Christmas day £70 per adult and £25 for a child.Dinner was 2 small baby potatoes 5 sprouts 2 round turkey slices 1round stuffing slice little carrot and little gravy. How can they justify this. On reply to email I sent I was told if I had said on the day I would have been given more veg. ( roast potatoes mashed potatoes etc were not served ) I would advise people not to waste their money. Won't be back again.

I attended a Christmas party night here on Saturday night. There were eight ladies in our party. We were placed in the conservatory which was beautiful. However the three course meal was a big disappointment. We paid £40 for the party and meal and it was definitely not worth that. A small slice of fanned melon, under cooked Brussels sprouts with a slice of cold turkey..... Doesn't really cut it. My colleagues politely pointed this out and were ignored by the waiting staff. The DJ was grumpy and would not take requests, however her music was good. Photo booth was a great addition to the night, great fun.

We have eaten here a few times now. Food is always above par. Chicken Caesar salad is delicious, as are all the desserts. I'd also highly recommend both the house red and rose wines mmmmm!

I ate breakfast here while staying at the hotel. The breakfast was buffet style and was fairly good but the setup on the restaurant was really nice. It was setup somewhat like a green house so you could see the surrounding gardens. Very nice.

Table booked for two at 19:30. Lovely welcome and shown to our table straight away. Given menus and wine menu. Order taken at 19:45. We were given an apology for the delay in receiving our food order. At 20:30 we were given a further apology and offered a complimentary drink. Food arrived at 20:45. To be fair, the food was extremely well presented and cooked to perfection. We had the 10oz. rump steak and chicken and bother meals were excellent. When paying, I asked the reason for the delay and was advised it was just very busy and a large party was also being catered for. I feel if we had been advised on arrival that there was likely to be a delay it would have been easier to understand. Will return in future and just hope it is not too busy and no large parties! The actual service, waitress and person in charge, could not be faulted. The delay appeared to be with the kitchen.

My husband and I dined here last night. The meal was excellent!We are staying in the hotel (doubletree hilton Dundee) and had saw a leaflet for a special dinner offer of a two course meal fior two, with wine or a soft drink for £20.15. We didn't expect it to be upto much for that price..but we were very wrong!The food was excellent,piping hilt, very tasty and beautifully presented. The surroundings were lovely and every member of staff we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful.The offer we had is only available until the end if February, but their normal prices are quite reasonable too.

This restaurant is in a conservatory attached to an hotel, but it doesn't feel like part of something else. The stting is lovely, and the feel is one of comfort and ease. Although the service was very slightly on the slow side, the food was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
