McCulloughs in Pendle

This place is just brilliant. Firstly the pies. Big enough to fall into it and a great choice including vegetarian. Lots of other things including a comprehensive specials board. The bar restaurant is cosy and superbly kitted out on a nostalgic music theme. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. Thanks. Below in the basement, a gem of an intimate music venue with top and I mean top bands / artists including international acts. The sound is amazing We watched The Pat Fulgoni Blues Band who are amazing. Go watch them. Just brilliant. Make a night of it like we did. Pies, beers and great entertainment.

Amazing food. I had fish and chips. The portion size was huge, I could only eat half. Got two massive bits of fish, it's the nicest fish I've ever had. Chips were homemade and delicious. Partner had a burger and it was quality meat and he really enjoyed it. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Fantastic place. We'll definitely be back next time in area.

Wow! What an amazing evening we had. The food was superb and the portion sizes were so generous. I had the garlic mushrooms, salmon bruschetta and Goats cheese. All were amazing and such a good price too. The desserts looked amazing but we didn't have any room to eat anything else. The girls behind the bar and waiting on were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Absolutely amazing food. The tapas sizes were large. Great value for money. All staff lovely. We had a great night.

We went to a music gig but had a meal first upstairs. It was excellent all round, great atmosphere, good staff, we’ve been more than once now and it’s always been good.

I like this place. Early doors on a Sunday, good music on the sound system, proper coffee. I’m coming back for a proper drink

I've been in the bar for a drink a few times but never eaten there, on this occasion I went with a party of friends and I had a steak, I have to say it was one of the nicest steaks I've had anywhere, well cooked, and nicely presented, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a good night.

McCulloughs is more than just a great place to eat it doubles up as an art and music centre and there are always top musicians playing, often for free. They sell several different types of German and Belgium beers as well as traditional English ales that accompany the great food cooked by Alan and Mo. The Pea and Ham soup did it for me.

Can thoroughly recommend this restaurant/bar. Staff very friendly and helpful, food great and ambiance wonderful. Well worth a visit. Also their breakfasts and Sunday lunch are just perfect!

Glad to say the best chef "Mo" is back. Just had a lovely lunch "lamb kofta's salad and chips" All the staff are very pleasant and it was a pleasure to go back. Well worth a visit but perhaps check if Mo will be cooking your food.

Very small and cosy but a great atmosphere and seems to be open more than other places in town . I do like the atmosphere in here , not especially Irish but more homely with lots of banter between the people drinking . Once you get about 15 people in here its full so its never going to be a huge bar but it support the attached restaurant which I am told is very good.

Had Sunday lunch here last weekend & to be honest it wasn't great. As a visitor to Barnoldswick it was our first time to eat here. We knew it was a small pub/restaurant so we booked a table. On arrival we were shown to our table by a young girl with Very Greasy hair & to be honest that put me of straight away. Had ribs for starters & they were ok , mains not great & not much of a selection for dessert, therefore we won't be in a hurry to return.

Visited the restaurant with family during October school holidays. We’d booked a table in advance as place is small; however had a good atmosphere.Staff were attentive and only complaint was a very limited menu. We ordered steaks - which I’d recommend and they came with a decent portion of chips and veg.In short - would I recommend? Yes.

We had not been here since the old restaurant was converted into a Irish bar and music venue. The bar was a very cozy place to be on a cold Sunday evening. They had a good choice of beers with good service . They have a very nice beer garden for the nice weather and the downstairs is a music venue

Fantastic tapas. Prawns in garlic and chilli, amazing. Chorizo on red wine to die for. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere..

Lovely restaurant and bar, just off the main village square. Just dropped in on a Sunny afternoon, did not reserve, best to phone ahead to enjoy specials, advised to eat in the beer garden, very quirky and intimate. Server welcomed us, the owner came out to greet our party and made us feel very welcome.Small variety on offer, but the quality was amazing and amazing value.
