McDonald's in Epping Forest

Not busy when we visited so service and food quality was good. Food was hot and prepared and delivered quickly. No complaints. Only one thing if note is the person delivering our food did not acknowledge us or smile or converse in any way.

Consistently gets orders wrong, standard of food and service has dropped significantly.

Loud but able to concentrate. The service was quite slow however.

Breakfast for 3, quick service and very hot food.

They have problems with the app here. The result was that I was told I was a liar by the manager. I haven't been back since and never will. Scumbags.

Not sure what’s going on with the fries 🍟 at McDonald but why do they always come half full!

We was hungry so we turned to Mcdonalds, like always! We done a delivery because we thought it would be quicker, we used uber eats. I made it priority just so it does come quicker, it said 15-20 mins and that was an EXTRA £2. The delivery driver was really nice, cant blame him, his name was rashed. Bear in mind i made it priority, it came in triple that time. Yes thats right, i waited ONE WHOLE HOUR for a mcdonald’s order. And it isnt even a far distance from my house. The chips were cold, burnt, and flavourless. Soggy, floppy and off putting. The chicken nuggets were that cold, they were turning hard, a bit of it chipped my tooth and i now have to book an emergency dentist appointment. Like the chips they were also flavourless. The chicken burger i got, was also cold. It made us question if they were cooked at all. The brownie was breaking apart when we unwrapped it. We believe it is uncooked due to it sticking to the wrapper, if you stuck a knife through the middle it would be covered in batter. The milkshakes dont taste like chocolate which is what it was meant to be like. You couldn't even suck a tiny drop throught the horrible and pathetic paper straws.

Sloooooooooooooooow. Missing items in so many orders there was a queue of 15-20 people complaining. Seems like the lady doing table service was one of the few people on the ball.

It didn't kill me, but I don't understand why we still look forward to MacDonalds with such anticipation when the food itself is often so disappointing. The Hastingwood Maccy is however quite well located with good parking. It is relatively spacious and some of the staff who work there seem quite considerate. It also still has a good children's play area with a small climbing apparatus and a tiny ball- pond ( I think).

Good place to keep kids entertained and full. Reliable McDonald's. Convenient location with parking. There is a click and deliver option while you wait in the car too.

We like this McDonald's because of the soft play area as many have said. But I am leaving this review with 2stars purely because the soap dispenser in the men's loo has been broken for ages and I hope it will get fixed this way. Will come back to change my review after this has been amended. Edit: new soap dispenser is in.

Ordered an hour and a half ago, food is bone dry and so cold, we received no drinks and someone else’s order, we now have no drinks with our cold meals

Nice staff members very fast service and very tasty food I ordered from the drive-through and it was tasty food in fact, even my burger it never normally finish half of it all of it cause they cooked it so well and my friend didn’t want cheese with his Philip fish They didn’t give any cheese in that they just made the burger patty really nice thoroughly this is the best McDonald’s location I’ve been to but not the best location in the world because there might be a better one but this is the best location I’ve been to. This McDonald’s should be given a world record for the best McDonald’s

Came here for a pit stop on the way home. Had a problem with the qr code for my account and staff were completely clueless on how to help. Ordered without it, and was very disappointed. My 6 chicken nuggets were in fact 4 in a bag for 4 even though id paid for 6. My large cola came in a large cup, but was 3/4 full. I asked them to top it up so i could have the correct amount of drink that id ordered. She went into the kitchen, and came back a while later, with a cup that had been filled with ice. None of the staff were wearing name badges, which is against company policy and very unprofessional. I normally would not complain about suck small things, however if im paying almost double what i was 10 years ago, id expect quality to improve or at the very least stay the same. Very disappointed.

This is the best McDonald’s never lets me down.

Once again they fail to deliver a complete order. They always leave something out, absolute joke.

Burger bun broken in half. However, did have a fun playground. Finally, it's very busy at lunch hour.

Food was cold as the driver had been walking around looking for my house, I had to send my kids out to find him!! Then all of our drinks were missing

Stopped in here in October on the way back from London for some dinner with my wife and my nephew. It was convenient, situated just before you jump on the M11 back to Cambridge. Well, our experience has put me off for life. McDonald’s came out with the McPlant, and I finally thought that I could enjoy a McDonald’s without the risk of having to totally unnecessarily murder animals to feed ourselves, and with the poorest cuts of meat you can grind into a pink paste before frying. Anyway, me and the other half each ordered a McPlant; myself a double patty and she had just the standard McPlant burger. Well, I think mine was ok - it only came with a single patty, even though I had paid extra for two. But it had the taste and texture of a standard McPlant. We left the restaurant and on the way home, miles up the road the other half opened her McPlant up and started eating. It was meat. First mouthful, she got 2 bits of gristle. Beyond meat burgers (or any vegan alternative meat burgers) don’t contain gristle, but this was clear to see. It had a slight metallic taste, and was quite clearly meat. It was packaged in a McPlant box, so it wasn’t supposed to be meat. But it was. Absolutely disgusted, neither of us are ever visiting any of the McDonalds restaurants anywhere ever again. Once the trust is broken, that’s that. If you don’t have vegan burgers, don’t serve meat and think we won’t notice/there won’t be any comeback. It’s taking the piss out of your customers. Totally unacceptable.

The kids play area is to load kids always screaming

One of the best McDonald's drive throughs near us even thou its a good 20+mins away. Plenty of parking and space unlike other mc Ds where drive through is tight carpark to small and awkward to get in & out of.

Always goes to this Restaurant, only yesterday been served by an elderly lady, very rude and not helpful. Most of the staff here I encountered were so friendly except for this lady.

My order was missing a chicken burger and I have only been offered a refund for the burger. I have still been charged for service fee even though the service failed to deliver what i ordered. And my child has to go hungry.

Kid soaked in urine and shoes on in soft play, none of the staff takes notice, parents don’t care . It’s a place where children are eating and playing and that is not acceptable.

Really disapointed, ordered cheese burger Happy meal with toy for my grandson, asked if it was what I ordered with toy girl looked at box and said yes was correct met up with him and how upset was he when he got nuggets with no sauce and a book.. went down really well NOT.

Drinks wrong again there are 3 MAC Ds in harlow hasting wood on the m11 needs a visit from head office or a NSF inseption.

Yet again, another McDonald's that do not take care. Told them no butter, no cheese, and black coffee as I'm allergic to milk. Gave me white coffee. So lucky I take sugar and noticed! That's it for me. They can not be trusted

If i could rate this place a zero. I WOULD. Me and my family came here after a trip to a pumpkin patch. we tried the best we could to try and get rid of the mud on our shoes. One of the workers possibly late 60s stared down me and my daughter and told my 10 year old austic daughter that she wasnt allowed in the play area WHEN IT CLEARY STATES ages 3-10 were allowed. She continued to stare at my family while we were eating and at one point the manager came out just to look at us. I will NEVER be returning. Food burnt and cold. DONT come here!!! Take this as your warning.

I can definitely say that this is the best one I've been so far... Big car park, so spacious inside with kids playground and kids area. Table service is so quick, like someone read your mind before you even made an order 😊

It's a McDonald's. As we all know they are all pretty much the same. This particular one does have some play equipment for younger children, so it is good for families with small kids. The downside of this is it's cancelled get extremely busy after school and into the early evening. Service has always been good here, but as with most McD's, don't expect your food to look like it's picture. You'll get it fast but messy in most instances. Enjoy!

Ordered 2 shareboxes of hash brown bites and didn’t get them whilst I was charged £6 for them and I would like this money back

food was stone cold, milkshake had melted, it was as if the courier had walked from the restaurant to my house, very disappointed and would like a full refund

Because Just Eat do not pay their drivers enough, my driver had to deliver 2 orders making my food cold. My driver was also waiting around for a lot longer than it should take to make my simple order.

My son of 17 reminded me that this place is exactly the same as when he was a toddler using the play area. Not much has changed... Except if course the price which is becoming too much for fast food.

Overall feedback is positive. Food is not very great, but it's okay. A bit of luck cleanliness and service could be a bit faster. From time to time, yes, I can recommend this restaurant, but mainly because of location.

I only went there to have an eye test, a beautiful area, a calm and peaceful atmosphere ideal for weddings

Nice place, used a few times either as pre airport stop in early morning or recently as pre M25 stop. Different clientele, different atmosphere. It's clean, easily accessible from M11 with plenty of parking

This place well handy if your coming back from Cambridge and beyond for a Sunday pit stop and refuel.

They don’t use brains when it comes to orders, WHY would you put the quickest to cook in the bag 1st while you WAIT for the Chicken selects to cook? Who in their right mind WANTS cold chips and burgers, NO one with taste buds!
