McDonald's in Eastleigh

Every time I come in here for a burger you seem to put it all together messed up, learn how to put a burger together

Overall, not very good at all. We have ordered from Deliveroo and had a takeaway from the drive-thru from here, and both have been terrible, but especially the delivery. Delivery: We only got a very small fraction of the food we actually ordered and what we did get was absolutely horrible. Drive-thru: A very rude staff member tried to overcharge us, then tried to deny it. Overall, I really would not recommend this place in a million years, I can never understand why there is always such a massive queue for McDonald’s.

It's McD, problem today was the app, doesn't work when things don't smoothly.

Very slow service - drink had to be remade and wraps were made and sat for 9 minutes before being served to us.

Don't understand what's wrong with this McDonalds branch, you place an order and something is missed off 70% of the time. When you do receive items correctly there is usually something wrong like the national onion shortage that seems to be going on, its the only thing inside the hat trick other than cheese and they usually put in 1 tiny slither of onion, ice cream machine never works, certain burgers are off the menu on random days? Mcdonalds is really being let down by this branch and really needs an overhaul as just seems like staff there don't care, I have had missed items off my delivery today even, I paid for a hat trick and got a double cheese burger? Can't still quite work that one out and then McDonalds fob me off yo Uber who then fobbed me off again to McDonalds? Furthermore they never have what is supposed to be on the menu these days, mist be some sort of protest against anything thats not chicken, if i wanted chicken i was go to KFC to be fair not this shit dump...Never ordering again.

The food is below average It is always cold and has to be reheated The service is bad, getting ignored when asking a question.

Brought a cheeseburger today and it was served cold. Not the first time and definitely not returning. They are breaking food regulations about serving food below recommended heat levels

Shocking service, ordered on app and timed how long it took to make a double cheeseburger and coffee, 6 minutes, coffee was sat on drinks shelf for 4 minutes, burger arrived and look like a 2 year old had put it together, sent both back and both replaced.

I'm usually positive about any place I review, but after the absolutely shocking experience tonight and since I moved to the area in Oct 2023, I can't think of anything good to say about this site. It's weirdly, the most below average McDonald's I've ever encountered. And I'm fairly certain McDonald's know when they don't respond to their own surveys even if marked as "dissatisfied", when any other location I've had a response within hours of giving feedback on anything I've not found up to scratch for how the brand represents itself in its own media. At least 1 item from every other lunch/dinner McDelivery order or app orders for drive-thru collection has been missed (anything from a side order to the burger from a meal deal), so there's no trust that any order you don't collect from inside the restaurant is going to be accurate. Only our breakfast orders have generally been received without any problem and the restaurant itself is okay, but sadly it's not enough to redeem an overwhelming negative overall experience. Even if you do collect orders from inside, you need to scrutinise and quality check every item to make sure it's right. And god forbid you're unfortunate enough to ask for help with any missing or incorrect orders from a management level employee - you'll be met with challenging demeanor, disbelief and, if you go during a "peak" period, even straight-up denial that anything might be wrong. Non-management staff are (normally) polite and helpful and quick to fix any issues. Although, you might be equally unfortunate enough to experience unfocused and uncaring staff laughing and messing around in full view of a line of already annoyed and dissatisfied customers. No, the staff shouldn't be super serious all the time, but there's a time and place to laugh and joke in peak dinner service. The drive-thru is also the busiest I've seen in the South of England. Surely it would make sense to open another location like Bitterne or Bursledon to serve what appears to be a busy customer base? This site might then be able to focus on bringing back the "golden" quality of the McDonald's brand. Edit (Dec 2024): This site's managed to gain back a couple of stars following some recent McDelivery orders being accurate and of the quality expected. Something has obviously changed; keep it up! 💪🏻

Absolutely disgusting place. Never have anything in stock always missing most of the menu, takes forever for food to come out, nothing has changed in the last 5 years, obviously understaffed. Rats running from the restaurant across the drive thru, bins always full, when I say something I feel bad for the staff because they all full well know and nothing changes! The place is a joke

no fries, no dipping sauce. how on earth can you miss the fries from a McDonalds order? this place NEVER get the order right, Just Eat are always having to credit me back some money.

After waiting 2 hours, the driver messaged to say some items were unavailable so they couldn’t process the order. No other communication.

Fined by the car parking company for eating my food in the car and overstaying the ridiculously small 1hr30 window. We wanted to visit other stores and didn’t see the parking restrictions. Its predatory and scummy companies like these shouldn’t be able to penalise people for being genuine customers.

2 hours late and missing half the order. no wonder your flipping burgers you cant count to 9. 8 nuggets is not 9 absolutely thick as mince.

Friendly staff very helpful and fast food

Food came cold as it came 1hour after it was prepared. Plus it said on the map that the drive was in Sainsbury’s when the app said he was on his way.

Ordered my food inside at 18:22. Stood and waited until 18:48 for it to come out, and then the food was barely warm. No toy in the happy meal. Absolute disgrace.

Why is there almost always a system restart at night (at different times) that takes 10/30 or 60 minutes? Sometimes I come after 2 am and there is a restart.... Today I'm after 4 am and there's also a restart. McDonalds is not working. In the Cambridge area, the restart is often after 12 at night... Do you have such an old system and are you miserly for the new server or what is this restart about? Maybe a break for the staff? For everyone.... Then maybe specify a specific restart time for all McDonalds in the whole uk. It will be easier for customers because I deliberately drove here for 15 minutes to Hear that you have to restart the system.

Food was stone cold and just eat won’t issue refund. Time stamp on food made was 8.48am and got delivered at 9.47am. Couldn’t eat it as cold and no microwave on premises to re heat

To say food was luke warm when it arrived is being generous. Delivery time went back three times to make it look like it was gonna be delivered on time.

Took 20 minutes if waiting at a the second drive through window for 3 cheese burgers. Look like they forgot me. The milkshake machine is always broken.

Early breakfast. Machine was easy to use and receipt correct for what I wanted. But I received a wrong muffin when 5x mins later was called to pick up and sit down. Corrected instantly just annoying you have to go back to the staff and get the right item. Luckily there was no queue and my partner was only halfway through his when I returned.

Every time we visit you think it can't be any worse than last time but somehow they manage to achieve it. Would be good if they could offer hot food last time the mcflurry was the hottest part of the food

Got order wrong 3 times and just give up in the end. Was missing meals and ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese turned up without cheese took it back they made a new one again with no cheese after completing it had no cheese 🤦‍♂️

Ordered food at 2104, food did not arrive until 2356. When it eventually arrived it was completely cold and on looking at the print time the burgers were ready at 2133. The courier was at the restaurant by 2200. Just appalling service, delivery and quality. Would have just gone out and got it if I’d have known it would take 3 hours to make two burgers some chips and nuggets. If I could give 0 stars I would, refund needed.

Had a one in one out policy at half 8 on a Wednesday evening. We were waiting in the cold in a queue outside and not told why until we specifically asked. We promptly left disappointed. Bear in mind that the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full.

Missing main items from order and no option to have items re sent

If I could leave 1 star I would. Made an order through Uber eats at 12pm. Deliver driver got changed 4 times and food didn’t arrive until after 2 o’clock. Food was completely inedible. Chips soggy and stone cold. Burger buns hard and dry. 2 portions of cheese bites rock hard and completely stuck together in a ball. Payed for dips and of course no dips in the bag. Looked at the sticker and my food was made at 12.21 and did not receive my order until almost 2 hours later. Would appreciate if someone could contact me regarding this because that is over £30 down the drain. Absolutely disgusting.

This place could not open on time if it was a case of life or death . Usually 40-40 mins late opening every single day Waiting customers are not told why their just ignored even though their waiting . Medium size drinks served most of the time even though you pay for large size . The ordering terminal does not give you the option to eat in most of the time so if you want to eat in .....tough Can't open doors but will serve the drive through .........worst branch their is locally !!!! AVOID IF POSSIBLE

Waited 35 minutes for our food, then left. everyone complaining and nothing being done about it. Paid £16.98, never saw any food. Don’t recommend to anyone.

We ordered three items but only got two - corrupt

Maccys hedge end, what are you playing at. Very slow service, poor food been produced. I witnessed 5 people take somthing back as it was either wrong or missing. Need to really look at management here, needs more staff or somthing.

We ordered a chocolate milkshake and they gave us a 5-10 minute old milkshake that was sitting on the side.... But that wasn't the worst part. We got a watered down strawberry milkshake. This is very poor customer service!!! After this we waited for another 5-10 minutes to give us a shake! At the end they said sorry but it wasn't for a particular reason. They should say sorry in a better way!!!

wrong order provided, very rude manager. Terrible service, complaint made. At the least customer service redeemed it by providing a refund and a free voucher. the young shift manager has much to learn in customer service.

Extremely rude, obnoxious staff at the window of the drive through and calling my daughter names. Then they put red hot sauce all over the burger. They very rarely have an icecream machine working. Definitely NOT to be recommended. Need Customer Service education.

Like all McDonalds bland service and food nothing like the photos and always short served portions on the fries but hey that's McDonalds anywhere.

I ordered mcdelivery breakfast at 10:30am. They have decided to cancel it 2 hours after I placed the order. I have tried phoning multiple times and now it says user busy. Disgusting and dissapointing.

Service poor last 4 drive through, orders wrong. Today order completely wrong no fries !! Went back and order replaced but still wrong despite asking if big mac was definitely plain - advised yes…. open it at home onions visible on burgers!!! Very poor service today🙄😡

Where to start, dips? Forget it even if you order and pay for them you don’t get them, fancy waiting 30mins plus for your fast food then this is the place for you. As far as I can tell the staff hate their jobs and hate the customers even more. Serving isn’t a thing here absolutely shocking.

The delivery was 30 mins later than originally advertised. When it arrived, some of the drink had been spilt over the packaging, the drinks themselves were completely flat, two thirds full, and the ice had melted, all implying that they had been poured a long while ago and spilt in transit. I have supporting picture evidence. To add to this, the food was very cold, further suggesting that the food was prepared way before it was delivered. Not happy at all

I’m not surprise for all these comments with 1 star because here actually not deserving one star especially in delivery section 70% of the staff who working we ask nicely for delivery .and they easily turned their back and ignoring us and some of them is even being so rude tell us cancel the delivery and leave. Delivery driver or actually on behalf of the actual customer come to collect their delivery.

I visited on Friday to sample the McRib following its return. I waited for more than 20 minutes for my order, and the staff appeared to be quite disorganized. I've experienced quicker service at Nando's, which isn't even considered fast food. The McRib was disappointing, and the fries were unsalted. I wouldn't recommend this fast food restaurant to anyone.

Always asks what sauce i want, never puts that sauce in the bag. Always slow service and always seems unable to cope with the number of customers. Chips are always soggy and flavourless

Cold burgers, poorly packaged, served by a lady who was clearly ill with cold or flu. Or maybe on a comedown. McRib is awful and was swimming in bbq sauce. No salt on fries. Lucky to get a 2 star rating.

Second time that the Mac plant option has not been available. Queued ages just to be told this. Maybe a board stating when an item is not available at the start of the drive through would be a good idea Macdonalds 🤔 had to adapt my order and then spend 10 minutes waiting in a bay for cold food.

Came in as a delivery driver but staff just didn’t even care that myself and 3 other drivers were waiting to be seen, didn’t even acknowledge us.

Drive-thru was horrendous, I was directed to a bay that already had someone waiting in it, and had to park elsewhere to avoid blocking the drive thru. Food took a long time to be delivered by a staff members wandering the car park by which time it was cold. I have eaten inside, before and it is much better.

Food here is always correct and hot. And when you have to wait, the staff are very apologetic about it. Great customer service! If you compare this to other sites, this one comes out on top!

As is typical of hedge end McDonald’s. We use the app, sail through the windows and are made to wait in car park for an absolute age. Handed a large bag of food, and not until we are home do we notice we don’t have all of the food……absolute joke.

Never come here worse McDonald's ever I ordered my burger but then all the machines broke down some lady was telling us to calm down but then she got out of there I finally got my burger the meat in the burger wasn't even touching the bun so I moved it I got my hands really saucey don't go here

Placed an order on the screen and went to the counter to let them now the ice cream I would pick up later after we eat our meals to avoid melt down. The manager said that was not possible it will be the same ice cream. It seems training its not coming through this franchise I do that on any other country.

Grubby guy returned a drink that he had drunk from, they stuck a different lid on it and gave it out. Would have let my daughter have a few sips but luckily I was paying attention. Disgusting business and disgusting workers

Took almost 2 hours to get here, breakfast became lunch & it was all cold.

My problem with this McDonald's branch is that they so frequently get the order wrong. I seriously can't recommend ordering for delivery since I don't think they have ever got the order right. We aren't talking about forgetting to put the curry sauce in, we're talking whole meals missing. It's very busy, crowded and waits can be long. The queue for the drive through can be very long, causing traffic chaos at times. In my opinion they have taken on more than they can manage with the restaurant, drive through and delivery demands. Sometimes I wonder why they don't just stop taking any new orders whilst they are overwhelmed. I think we need a second branch this side of the city to absorb some of the demand. Despite all that I've never had a problem with the staff. I'm surprised they stay so calm and pleasant whilst rushed off their feet. Just an update. My son and his friends ordered a breakfast for delivery against my advice. One of the meals did not arrive. So predictably unreliable!

As per usual a rubbish McDonald's visit food always cold can't remember the last time the service was great, um yes I do before all the delivery orders get priority over the waiting customer, such a shame 😞
