Mcdonald's in Peterborough

I visited your store on 8th Jan at 22:22 where I ordered a hot chocolate and an apple pie. The apple pie has been sat for a while as it was barely hot and the lady called Madalena said I would get a fresh one in 5 minutes. She delivered the new and extremely hot (too hot to eat) apple pie to me. I took one bite and found the middle was hard in the apple chunks. I explained this to Madalena who huffed then said she cooked it to the right time of 5 minutes. I understood this and gave my card for a refund. She looked at me like she didn't care about the food not being cooked properly. I explained how I was given food poisoning at the College Arms on 24th December and really didn't want to be sick again. She took the apple pie away and came back with a unhappy look saying I can't give you money back as you eat the pie. I said how will I know if it's uncooked it I don't taste it. I took one bite. She said I am not allowed to give you money back as my manager said you are it. I said ok I'll make a complaint. She said I give you money back but you ate pie. I said I ate a bite to find it not cooked. She was continuing to argue to me. I then spoke to Cristovio the shift manager and asked him why she was so rude or me. He said she told him I hate the pie and now wanted a refund but then threw the pie away. I explained what happened as above and asked what will happen as I found she needed more training on being customer focused as she was changing her views on the refund and arguing about me tasting the pie to find it not cooked yet she feels 5 minutes as directions to cook a pie was cooked. I explained that years ago when I worked in that store, a customer burnt their tongue and the company made staff write dates and time did cooked apple pies. I then asked where the time was for the pie as I saw no time. As the pies need time to cook yet to still cook on the inside to make them fully cooked throughout as fried items still cook on the inside after you take them out of the oil. He didn't know this fact. I said I feel the pie was not left long enough to start to cool and left to cook fully on the inside. I explained how extremely hot the pie was and it should not have been given to a customer as one bite would have left someone with no skin in their mouth or tongue. The shift manager was understanding yet I found him immature to be a manager to understand simple standards of store management and staff supervising. He tried to do a refund but instead charged me twice and then apologised. He then refunded me 2 apple pies. I just found this experience especially dissatisfied and unprofessional, unsafe for the heat of the apple pie, the mistake of a refund, the member of staff Madalena being grumpy, rude and unhelpful blaming me for the pie being not satisfactory and the shift manager being unable to deal with the situation at the time. I did ask the shift manager if we can deal with this complaint now however he wanted me to email and do the online review which I am happy to do. I will also do a Google review with this exact email comment as a copy and paste. I would like to please know how you wish to correct this vast number of issues from health safety of over heated foods to burn customers to the under cooked apple fruit inside to the unprofessional conduct of your staff towards a customer

It was a pleasant experience this time as the place was not so busy. I have been there on busier days and then it is a bit of a challenge.

This has to be one of the slowest McDonald's in the UK - Queensgate Peterborough 57/58 Queensgate Centre Peterborough PE1 1NH Ordered at 15:41, for takeaway and I finally received my food at 16.01pm. 1 Double Cheeseburger came with the surprise of lettuce and bacon with no customisation by me or any label with these ingredients being added, so some poor person got my Double Cheeseburger and I got their creation luckily I eat bacon so no religious issues. Absolutely rammed with people waiting for their orders / UBER EATS drivers being prioritized. Rude service, not a smile in sight - can't get to the counter without barging fellow customers out of the way. Ordered before I arrived and still waited 20 minutes, and my order was wrong when I got outside to find seating in the square. My second visit in a week. The first was on Monday, exactly the same experience , and by some miracle, we managed to get a table. I then witnessed drug dealing and had the pleasure of a puppy wining for the 40 minutes we were in the restaurant waiting on food and eating.

It takes a while for any food to be served. Toilets are very very dirty and management seems rude and unorganised. some people here work so hard and their customer service is amazing tho

Usual McDonalds and same as every other. My brother didn't receive a part of his order though so customer service could do with some improvements.

Food cold, delivery was late because you are laying when ppl ordering good you give them false delivery time, after placing an order you extend delivery time up to two hours!!!

Our meals were all cold and my chicken burger had absolutely no tast whatsoever. Ate any of the staff aware of the risks of food not kept at the right temperature?

This is what’s wrong with this app, you look what to order it says it will be 40 minutes, so you place the order it then asks if you want to tip the delivery person? Why before you get your order? Then once you pay the time goes up to an hour, then an hour and a half and finally turns up 2 hours later!!!

I really enjoy your food, but unfortunately the last 3 times the fries have been really cold.

Would not recommend this McDonald’s as me and my friend ordered and was missing a drink and fries and my friend ordered a double cheeseburger and it came as a single cheeseburger so put in a complaint and then waited half an hour for a burger then said we needed a receipt for it then waited another 20 minutes for the burger

Still a total disaster zone, the place is not fit for purpose, too many delivery riders, order to table not working, short asian floor woman telling me it's my fault, and also telling the app is not very good, then getting all upset. The app doesn't work causing untold confusion when trying to order with the error code the fries were undercooked (replaced after a wait) really needs some adult management working here and probably security if you could find anyone brave enough.

order was soaked, coffee was basically empty by the time it arrived. Driver left dripping drinks bag on the counter over computer equipment which is not acceptable.

We are very disappointed, our food come absolutely cold, it was been late more then 20 min, it is without any sauce in inside.

Good food but pretty slow service. The new hash brown bites were delicious and coffee is good despite being a bit cold. The upstairs has no windows and the decor looks like someone has had a fit.

It's really busy, and on some occasions full of idiots that the staff will have to deal with.

Requested for sides and I was told it is finished. That wasn't bad enough I wasn't given a straw for both milkshake I bought... Absolutely terrible customer service... Terrible

Chip and pin on the self service never seems to work one or two of the servers always get the order wrong and each time we go in there always seem to be new staff and as a result service is getting slower and slower. Possibly the wrong one to train new staff in

Unfortunately not a good experience. Whilst the delivery was late, I can excuse this based on the time of day. However, I was missing my fries and my mayo chicken and despite ordering a double cheese burger, I received on a single that was cold.

Yo y mis 3 niños vinimos a almorzar. Utilicé la pantalla de autoservicio y conseguí la tarjeta de servicio de número de mesa 110 de table services. Esperé con mis chicos durante unos 20 minutos y noté que otras personas se habían sentado detrás de mí, pero estaban corriendo sus pedidos de comida antes que los nuestros. Le pregunté a un joven si podía ir a ver dónde estaba mi pedido. Diez minutos después volvió arriba con otra orden de bandeja y me dejó en blanco cuando lo llamé. Luego había visto a una niña y la llamé y le pregunté que ahora he estado esperando 30 minutos para mi pedido, ¿puede ir y comprobar, por favor, le expliqué que mis hijos tenían necesidades adicionales y que no entienden que está tomando demasiado tiempo que solo saben que comieron hambre. Ella se va pero la señora que estaba sentada en una mesa alta los había pillado riéndose de mí y nunca volvió a subir. Así que la señora bajó escaleras para coger el pesebre en este punto esperé 55 minutos para la orden. Hablé con el pesebre y le expliqué cuánto esperé, qué groseros fueron los trabajadores al enterarse de que mi orden no había sido recibida en su sistema. Pedí un reembolso y también esa tarde le expliqué a la niña y al niño que tenía una cita en el hospital y que necesitaba lo que estaba pasando. Dijo esto al pesebre y ella no parecía tan preocupada, se disculpó, pero le pedí que se disculpara con mis hijos porque la contención los había decepcionado, pero ni siquiera los miró o reconoció incluso cuando le expliqué que tenían necesidades de aprendizaje. Así que recibo mi reembolso con un xtra 75 p añadido al reembolso. Esto nunca nos había pasado antes como familia pero para mis hijos estaban molestos con ellos era como si no importaran y que no era nada para ellos. También en la cocina la máquina de batidos había explotado por todo el suelo. Una limpiadora se desahogaba con el pesebre mientras el pesebre procesaba mi reembolso. El personal parecía estresado y los jóvenes que estaban trabajando simplemente no tenían idea de cómo lidiar con cualquiera de los problemas de cocina que surgieron. Muchos clientes estaban enfadados porque los pedidos eran incorrectos, la comida no había aparecido. No la reina Mcdonalds. También el pesebre no me dejaba recitar Fui a queensgate mcdoanlds el 19 / 10 / 24 pedí mi comida a las 11 : 42 servicio de mesa número 110

Many foods are mid but the caramel frappé is so good. One time my sister got no patty in one of her burgers. There are a variety of places and one of them is acctually a good place to eat in unlike most McDonald's restaurants

Dys food wos wery cold so hard

Food was stone cold, didnt bother complaining as it took so long to get the food in the first place. The order machine was taking the order, but the card machine was broken. Had to do an order again at another machine. It was totally unorganised apart from one guy who worked so hard.

McDonald's is much much better than it was when i was a kid in the 80s and 90s. Staff are always great and food is solid with the exception of their chicken burgers and nuggets and their sausage mcmuffins. If you use the app get free stuff too.

Food cold waiting a long time for order

This location is not well designed, the ordering systems are in the way. The sitting area is a mess. Convert the whole downstairs to cater for ordering, pick-up and keep a few chairs for those that can't use the steps to the sitting area upstairs.

Received wrong items and missing some no customized options as well, not many products were in stock and was given ketchup that looked off and also the wrong dips were given. Edit after asking for the correct item I received the complete opposite asking for no cheese and sauce received only cheese and sauce, one job and you failed twice

As a food intolerance sufferer I ordered a grilled chicken wrap and I received a crispy wrap instead..I spoke with manager and explained that im allergic to fatty food , she said sorry and she'll correct the mistake..2mins later handed me the same wrap with the crispy batter scraped off!! Aweful

Although this place used to be great for years, I've been disappointed lately. The food consistently arrives cold, and even when I order through the app to exclude onions from my burgers, they still end up on them. It's concerning that they aren't mindful of allergies related to onions. Additionally, during my last visit, I noticed the staff joking around instead of focusing on fulfilling orders, resulting in long waits. I waited an unbelievable 40 minutes just for a milkshake. Overall, it's been a disappointing experience. I won't consider returning until they improve their management, particularly in prioritizing quicker service, especially for single-serving drinks. Also being asked for what I've ordered when I had to go in a hurry and almost been late (guy really needs to be talked to)

Made two orders due to no answer from mcdonalds for missing food and still both had missing food in total of £32. Alot of missing food and the other food was cold and looked like its dried up and was solid chips especially. Have been calling the store for over 20 hrs now and no answer. I visited the town for a festival and can not go to the store physically and do not drive. In the end we didnt eat what we received obviously due to it being cold and being annoyed with the service!

I do not recommend this place. So far, it's the worst McDonald's I've eaten at, and I've been to hundreds across England. The manager on the day shift on August 14th was rude to her subordinate when I complained about not receiving four parts of our order. She told her subordinate to tell me to bring the food back because they didn't believe it was missing. I responded that if she wanted to check, she could come to my car and see for herself because my family was already eating what had been prepared. It turned out she was the one serving the food and had indeed forgotten to give us part of it. After she checked the food pickup area, the missing items suddenly appeared, and she handed them over very reluctantly.

The driver handed two bags to me on the doorstep. As I took them the drink was poring out of the bag all over my doormat and the food bag. The driver was very apologetic and said he did not know there was a drink in the bag. There was no cup holder. The drink was on its side. He told me to complain as my meal was ruined. When I opened the food bag my large chips were cold and only filled to half of the container. I’ve spent the last ten minutes trying to clean my mat and the food was awful.

A great location and the food is fresh and tasty, but it was a shame that the service was so slow, the ordering machines weren't working properly and generally not very attentive. Considering I went at breakfast time and it wasn't busy, that's a pity. It looked like the staff hadn't finished setting up. The main issue though was the app and not integrating with the ordering machines to get points. Really annoying. The cleaning staff were amazing. Really kind and friendly. That made my trip worthwhile (along with the food).

The service is very slow compared to other branch and disable/baby changing toilet is very very dirty, so many flies around the bin inside and not hygiene at all.
