McDonald's in Newham

The girl at the counter was super rude and it was clear that she didnt want to work (there), I don't understand why they employ people like her?!? Also they wasn't able to give me the banana milkshake what I've ordered, it was pink in the middle, mixed with strawberry shake. The Staff didn't get any training or they are just not capable to their job as they should! Unacceptable!

Without doubt the worst mcdonalds locally, none of the printers on the self serve machines ever work, not enough staff to cope with demand and the order is usually wrong or cold, waited 20 mins for a double sausage muffin just now. Good location, just needs a manager that can manage and get the right levels of staff, I mean you know its in a heavy footfall area so get more staff in ... its not rocket science

The staff in this particular McDonald's are totally incompetent. Ordered a wrap with no cheese, waited 10 minutes for it, had cheese on on it !! Previously I ordered a tea, when I got it I asked for milk, but they had none ! Should have told me that when ordering.

Why have a phone number If you never answer the phone and when I order I get freezing cold food with 5 chips basically a melted mc flurry so Th literally 2 pieces of chocolate inside an absolute joke

25 minutes on a Wednesday night waiting for a large double cheeseburger meal. And this isn't the first time, I don't know what's going wrong here but I wish it wasn't. Staff are generally friendly but I don't really understand how it takes that long. Anyway the food was nice once I finally got it

It’s impossible to get in touch with customer service, and it’s very bad since the order took 40 MINUTES to reach home, which was meant to take 20 max according to the app. Literally double the time estimated. But the terrible thing is that I’ve order two happy meals with REGULAR HAMBURGER, and 40 minutes later I get two happy meal with CHEESE BURGER which means that me and my sister, didn’t eat!!!!! The fries and nuggets were stone cold and even the cola felt time had been spilled hours before. I tried to contact customer service but seems to be impossible unless you have a paper receipt. I am a regular customer and this is incredibly upsetting, I want a refund. My night was totally ruined.

This McDonald's, conveniently located directly opposite Canning Town Station, offers blazing-fast service and step-free access to its upper-level seating area. However, be warned: my recent experience was uniquely disappointing. My hash browns were a soggy mess, completely stuck to their wrappers. I recommend checking your order before leaving to avoid a similar disappointment.

I came to pick up my order after seeing my number displayed on the monitor. When I reached the counter, I noticed another customer speaking with the staff, so I waited politely. As their conversation appeared to end and the staff member looked at me, I took it as a signal to mention my pickup number. To my surprise, he responded in an annoyed tone, telling me not to speak until the previous customer was completely finished. After an uncomfortable pause, he said, "You can talk now." This felt unnecessarily rude, especially since the previous customer had clearly finished. If the staff member needed a break, a simple, polite request would have been more respectful. As a loyal McDonald’s customer, this experience has made me think twice about returning to this location.

Totally unreliable opening hours. Today was the second time I went there during the opening hours and there was a 'we're closed, sorry about the inconvenience' sign on the door

Absolute dog water. I've had wrong orders, I've had parts of sandwiches missing (patties in a big Mac how do you even do that). Currently, eating unsalted fries with a McRib that is literally bread and pattie, nothing else. It's not often that a place can be so consistently awful.

One of the manger called Hanif is so rude with customers. Very disappointed with his behaviour. He needs to be very respectful and serve very professionally with all the customers.

You know what you're going to get from a McDonald's so I don't need to explain anything. But it's nice to see a McDonald's in Canning town so near the station so it's convenient. This place is always clean, you don't have to wait too long for your order and more importantly I've never seen a fight.

Easy access location. Fast. As it is delivery, there are no tables and chairs on site. It is in the same building as the Ibis. There are some benches in front of the building.

Avoid the chicken ceaser wrap. Unless you enjoy food poisoning and can run faster to a toilet than Usain bolt. Had the worst bout of acute food poisoning from this sorry excuse of a ‘restaurant’ i have ever had, running around london trying to find a toilet, was not pleasant. Inside the restaurant isn’t much better either, there is no seating, loose handrails, over crowding and split levels, so it’s basically totally terrible. AVOID.

It's a very clean and tidy takeaway shop. I live nearby and I come here every time when I'm hungry in the middle of the night. Except that there are no seats and you can't dine in, everything else is good. The employees are also very welcoming and you can often get freshly baked French fries🍟!

If you starving in the middle of the night this place is ok but at any other time go somewhere else. You have to wait long for your food, you can't sit anywhere and the food is just ok

An order with 4 missing products… don’t change anything…

This is the third time I have ordered McDelivery from this franchise and the third time they have missed a main item from the order. Once or even twice this could be human error, but three occasions I believe this is wilful attempts to defraud customers. Despite the order being placed via McDonalds app you are diverted to Uber eats who is the delivery partner which is an overseas scripted call centre. At best they refund a % amount of a meal (not equivalent to the purchase price) but for you to obtain a replacement you have to reorder with delivery and service charge AGAIN. Their telephone number is never answered and they did not reply to branch emails. Uber eats won’t refund the missing item today because I’ve had two refunds probably because of this stores incompetence/fraud. Don’t order from here.

The service is appalling. For a company claiming to be in a fast food business, they are excruciatingly slow. After a long wait and dozens of reminders, I finally got my order. Avoid at all costs. I know that if you pay peanuts you’ll get monkeys… but still would expect faster service nonetheless

I don’t know why so many people are giving this place a bad review this is some of the freshest McDonald’s I have had. It’s more of a dark kitchen with a kiosk for collection by the public. The quality and staff are excellent but there is no where to sit. Perfect if you want to grab and go.

It seems like there is no consistency in this branch !! Food is always missing items and the printer is been broken for more than a year! Trust me when is busy , and is always busy , it's a shambles! No one knows what's going on . Is it a huge investment to McDonalds to invest in the new printer ? Anyways don't order any extras on your sandwich because you will never get it! But you pay for it :(

The food was good, basically the same you'd get from other McDonald's, and the store was clean and tidy, plus no rush. The workers there seemed kind and they got my order pretty quick, in about 5 minutes. The downside of the place is that it only does takeaway, so no seats or any tables, nothing. I didn't know this until I got there, so me and my family had to find a spot outside to eat the food, and there were a lot of pigeons and other birds, wanting to eat our food 😭. The place is good if you'd want to grab a burger or maybe a drink on the go but maybe not for a family. :)

Machines are always out of paper, so you never know your order number, and have to listen to every single order getting out to make sure you don't miss yours. Completely out of touch with reality and what a McDonald's is supposed to be (speed & efficiency)

Food took over 40 minutes to come Partner had to take it back to get it freshly made. Crap service once he got in there, eventually got the food freshly made after habing a debate and practically being told he was lucky because the other Mcds wouldn’t have done another order. No seating inside or outside AT ALL, not one!! I’m sure a few seats could be put in. But we ordered and picked up food and went back to the bus station over Road. And the toilets were out of order, as with so many other public toilets these days. Food was up to scratch though.

The self service machine doesn't provide a receipt number and the staff are were unable to provide which number our order was. Not very fast for "fast food". A shambles. The self service machines must be fixed or switched off. Not fit for purpose.

Terrible. No idea what this store is doing to other stores but this was awful. No idea what "coke" I got, but it certainly tasted NOTHING like anything currently produced by the coca-cola company. Flat and almost dirty tasting. Fries ice cold, which is usually standard anyway. No receipt provided and refused to provide one. Missing items from order, when I made the staff aware, they did not believe me and she had to "get my manager". Burger had no pickles or onions, despite asking for extra. I'm sorry but This is what you get when you have people manning the tills that barely speak basic English! Ridiculous level of customer service and pure incompetence!

Found a blue piece of plastic in the breakfast roll as well as it being burnt on the bread and meat which I had to scrape off having ordered take away. Regret buying here as the standard and hygiene is poor! Very disappointed and couldn’t travel back to let them know how bad the roll was, only ate some of the egg in the end and binned the rest. Waste of money

Good "mini" McDonalds, no seating but you can order and get out quickly. Good competent service and appears to be well maintained. The toilet was out of order on one occasion but fixed on the following visit.

Just a pick up point and no space to eat in. The toilets always seem to be out of service which is bizarre for paid customers and busy delivery drivers.

I arrived at like 1 am with my group of friends and we got served after 15 minutes or so. We had to wait a while because the panels were being updated. I don't expect a lot from McDonalds but it was warm and tasted nice which is the most important factor.

Mostly packed at times, but they are very timely with your meal. And if you order just one thing, it comes out quicker, rather than sleeping there and taking time, compared to some other Mcdonalds I've been to.

Check your food before leaving, they forget something every-time. How do you forget to add fries on a order with just one fries and a burger ?

My friends and I got orders on sat eve/Sunday early hours after a night out. I got a sweet chili wrap meal and the chicken in there was questionable, felt like end bits put in the frier for too long. It was hard and inedible!! Fries were too salty. I guess none of the staff bothered with any of our foods at that time even though it was still quiet busy hoping we won't be getting food that's been left there for time but that's exactly what happened. It was too late to come back and return as we were already on the a2 home. Very disappointed went home hungry. Wish I took a picture before I threw it in the trash.

Canning Town mcdonalds just across the road from the train / bus station.... you cant really park outside unless your lucky to get a space but other than that all good As all mcdonalds nice food

Apparently, you can order a double meal, get no patties, and then McDonald's don't want to deal with it at all. Absolutely 0 accountability on their end.

The manager on shift and staff for 27th of August where unprofessional in their approach towards me. I ordered something on line for collection however, when I collected the food, the items within the order didn't match. I asked the staff for help who took the burger from myself, spoke to the manager and returned it to myself st the counter damaged. I explained thats not how I left it with yourself and would like it replaced but the manager and lady walked away. Because I had my children, I knew it was best to not retaliate. Bad experience all round from the mcdonals in Silvertown Way.

the staff are so rude here, me and my friend got our food and the manager made us feel like we were not customers. he kept questioning us when we asked him for a receipt as it didn’t print on the machine, and even asked us to give him very specific details, like how long it took us to order, which made us feel uncomfortable, we weren’t taking anyone else’s food

Went twice for takeaway and was not disappointed. The service was really fast and the staff was nice 😊 ofc tasty food

This McDonald’s is alright. Just what you would expect from a regular McDonald’s but there’s a catch. At the time of writing this review (June 2023), the sitting area is not available and if you prefer to dine in, your only bet is to eat while standing. There’s a counter where you can put your food while you eat. Another small issue I encountered is when I was collecting an order, I asked for all the free sauces they offered and the guy looked at me like I killed someone and asked me: “All sauces only for this?”. Yes, I like to taste different sauces, so please give me the free sauces and don’t judge me for that.
