McDonalds A66 in Middlesbrough

We found the restaurant to be a little scruffy looking. I visited with my husband and children for a late meal on a long journey home. Due to the time of night around 9pm on a weekend there were a few unsavoury characters hanging around. My 11 year old needed the toilet so I decided it was safest to let him use the ladies with me. As we approached the door the cleaner stepped towards us and snapped "where's he going?" I said into the toilet. She said he can't go in there that's the ladies. I told her he is tall but is 11 years old and I don't feel it's safe going into the gents alone at that time of night and she stepped between us and said well he's not allowed in there he can go in here and before I could say anything ushered him into the disabled toilet. Firstly that is misuse of a disabled facility. Secondly since when is a child seperated from a parent by a member of staff?! Third, do McDonald's have a toilet policy stating children cannot go into the opposite gender toilet with a parent? Very dodgy territory for McDonald's and I'm honestly disgusted by it. My son was very embarrassed and we shall not be returning there. Have a word with your staff

Loved the Grand Big Mac Bacon which was a proper treat but they stopped doing them now. Tasty and good value

Slow service. Limited menu I nipped into the drive thru to grab a coffee and there was a queue at the drive thru. It moved so slowly but by the time I realised, I had vehicles behind me so couldn’t get out. I placed my order of a toffee latte to be told they’re not doing them at the moment. It took me about 15 mins from start to finish. Couldn’t they have left a notice at the entrance explaining they were back serving the limited menu? Also, if the menu is so limited, why did the service take so long??? It’s supposed to be a fast food restaurant!
