Sides weren’t delivered. Nobody checked how our meal was or came near our section of the restaurant. Had to go and find manager to get the bill. Asked for sides to be removed from the bill, no apology or acknowledgment made. When she brought the bill asked us how the meal was, mentioned missing sides again, still no acknowledgment or apology. Very sad as the food was good. Might like to consider cleaning the water marks off the water carafe and glasses too.

The service is incredibly friendly and efficient. We always feel welcomed by the staff and nothing is ever too much trouble. Food is great too!

Isabella was absolutely lovely. Remembered us from before and always with a smile! Thank you ladies - a lovely working from Megan’s day.

We shared a Turkish breakfast platter. Plenty of food and very tasty. Service was pretty slow Saturday as did not seem to have enough staff. But staff are friendly. I also visited Tuesday in the private room and the food and service were excellent. (Pics attached)

Nice food, but the evening was spoilt by dogs. I appreciate it's a dog-friendly restaurant, but the dog next to us stank and when we asked to move to a different table we were made to feel uncomfortable and told there was only one table available when the restaurant looked half empty. The carrot cake did taste good though.

Always had a pleasant experience here however today we were not impressed. Food came before the drinks. When asked if we could cancel our coffees seeing as the food was on the table with no sign of the drinks, waitress was pretty rude about it. Zero apology and rudely told “there’s only 1 person making them so they can’t come out any quicker”. Had this been explained beforehand that there was a slightly longer wait on coffees then expectations could have been managed… Very bad service in my opinion. In no way should we have been met with the response we got from the waitress which made me send my coffee back purely based on her customer service and attitude!! The coffee was not taken off the bill either until I disputed it. Wouldn’t be rushing to go back there anytime soon, which is a shame as the food is great.

First time eating at megan's and didn't get disappointed. Food choices and servings are good. We really enjoyed our dinner. Halloumi fries was delicious! Favourite!! Emily was fab!

Massively over priced, breakfast was gross hard bacon watery eggs and barely any food and it's 16 pounds. Restaurant added service charge without asking so it was nearly 35 pounds for 2 breakfast. This place is for ponsess and stuck up middle class people. How can you charge so much for so little? I can get a weeks worth of shopping for that price. Also stop trying to be lardy da spicy taco beans and shitache mushrooms have no place on a breakfast

Been there in St Albans megan a few times now, last time being previous evening .service was great with a staff member so helpful with the menu and with the whole order . I assume you have passion Ed staff members so that the experience to be a pleasant one,and it was thanks to him. But what I have noticed that over the years Management needs to improve as is obvious you don't have enough staff to manage the busy days. All good otherwise

Frosty attitude straight from our arrival. Completely understand that I messed the time up on our booking, but we were made to feel like we’d inconvenienced them by wanting to still have brunch, despite technically having an hour left on the time slot I had originally booked. Whilst I understand empty tables likely have reservations coming in, to make us feel uncomfortable for asking for a spot when most of the tables we could see in front of us were empty was unpleasant. The server who took our order (maybe a little new) didn’t look up from the iPad once whilst doing so with no interaction, eye contact or smile and one of us still received the wrong food, despite her reading the correct order back to us. The server who brought the food and we let know the dish was supposed to be scrambled egg not fried said “that’s not what it said on the ticket” in a very ‘this is your fault’ manner. Without offering sauces for the other food, she went back to change the dish. When she came back to say it was on the way, I asked for mayo. She brought the changed dish & my mayo, and my mum asked for ketchup for her replacement meal. We were shocked to receive an actual eye roll and a huffed yes, like we were in the wrong for asking for something else. The food that came was super yummy until I pulled a long blonde hair that was buried deep in my Shakshuka. This is when the service improved, with this issue being dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner. The whole experience lacked warmth and genuine hospitality- whilst I appreciate they might have been or about to become busy, not being made to feel like an inconvenience for giving them our money would have been nice!

Visited Megan's yesterday. Warm greeting at the door, which was a great start. The food was great. It was all about the posh open Lamb Kebab for me. Flavours!!! And the homemade style lemonade was on point. I had the world's biggest slice of carrot cake, which went down nicely! Good food, nice ambience and friendly staff. I couldn't ask for more. It's always nice to write a good review. So well done.

Austena and Shauna made our experience so memorable. They took such good care of us, recommended the restaurant’s best dishes (loved the Fondue) and overall the place has a great vibe. I’d totally recommend this for a cute date night!

A disgraceful breakfast, the presentation and taste are very bad. It may have another name but it is definitely not Turkish serpme breakfast.

This is definitely not a Turkish breakfast, the presentation is not pleasant at all, the image is disgraceful and does not deserve the money we pay, it was a very shameful disappointment for me, Can you see the Turkish baklava in the photo? How can it be served in a tiny container for 2 people? It's definitely not nice at all.

Megan’s in St. Albans is one of my favorite spots! I’ve been there for brunch, dinner, and breakfast, and it’s always such a great experience. Their poached eggs on sourdough are amazing, but the open chicken kebab? Absolute winner every time! The staff are just lovely. Lucie and Isabella are so friendly and always up for a little chat, which makes you feel right at home. The service is spot-on too—they really know how to make you feel looked after. If you go, you have to try their chai or Biscoff lattes. They’re so cozy and perfect with whatever you’re having. Honestly, this place never disappoints!

Amazing place and service, we are coming here every other weekend for two years already. Lovely people, tasty food. Our dog is also warm welcome and well treated here. Can't choose other places to for food in the area.

Wanted to try Megan’s for a while now as I always liked the look of the decor inside. We ordered the sharing platter to start and then the meat platter for main. The food was very fresh and just what we fancied. Only downside was the price for a draught beer, I paid £5.90 for 380ml. At that price I would expect a pint.

My wife and I had a lovely lunch with our baby at Megan’s St Albans today. The food was great, particularly the halloumi fries, and coffee very good also. The place has a lovely atmosphere, and the service from Lucie was fantastic - she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

We always enjoy the food and we are looked after very well during our breakfast visits by the lovely Loretta!

I don't have a bad word to say about this fabulous little treasure. The decor is utterly beautiful. We sat on one of the booths and felt like we were on holiday. We ordered the Turkish brunch platter for 2. It was so delicious and plenty for 2 people. The service was great as well. The 2 ladies that served us were friendly, happy and attentive. I will certainly be returning for lunch on my next trip to St Albans.

We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and had been looking forward to it.Unfortunately,our experience was a let down.Our booking was for 10 people @ 5pm and when we were placing our orders,we were told they had run out of something and could we choose something else.This happened another 2 times when ordering desserts and coffee..The service was slow and we were made to feel as if we were actually an inconvenience to the member of staff .

Had a nice meal with friends today. Kane, who I think was the manager and took our payment, was very helpful and made good recommendations.

I needed somewhere to work for an hour. The staff were incredibly welcoming and I had the best hot chocolate ever! The cakes looked incredible too. I will be back!

Have eaten here a few times, and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. My last visit I was served by Loretta who was very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, I had the shakshouka, we also tried the pancakes and pigs in blankets off the new festive menu and they were to die for. Prices are very reasonable and the general atmosphere is very chilled and warm. Would recommend! :)

First time in a Megan's, but as part of a group, it's not necessarily the best time to take it all in. However, a pleasant lunch from a varied Mediterranean style menu. My choice of Turkish eggs with nduja was very tasty and came with plenty of flatbreads 🫓. Others in the group all enjoyed. Clearly, a popular family place and dogs are allowed. Will look out for another branch closer to home to try again.

I always come here for a coffee . Loreta has shown what Megan’s true atmosphere and values are. I was tired snd a bit sad. She gave me a hug snd a big smile that determined myself to come .
