Mermaids Fisheries in Stockport

Had fish chips and mushy peas ...lovley as always best fish 🐟 in stockport ....staff lovley and welcoming my regular go to..... for breakfast or lunch.......clean ....staff n chef amazing ........everything home made ........breakfast picture was different day...😄

We had not been here for a while. Good socially distanced tables. Our order was taken promptly. Drinks given promptly my son enjoyed his tea, and I enjoyed my tango. I had the large cod and chips. A delicious piece of cod in a light batter. Good golden brown chips. A good mild curry sauce. My son enjoyed his sausage sandwich and chips. Excellent, professional and friendly service.

Lovely food and hot just the way it should be. Clean place and good food and pleasant staff. This will now be a regular trip for me

Mi esposa y su madre me encanta este lugar. Siempre vienen a este lugar cada vez que vaya a Stockport. El lugar siempre está limpio y el pescado también sabe muy bien.

Un buen desayuno inglés es una cosa de belleza, y para encontrar uno que mantas en una taza de café y viene a un fiver para el lote es fantástico! Bacon, salchichas, huevos, morcilla, tomate, patata, pan tostado, champiñones, judías. . . . . . Yo estaba lleno y satisfecho, ya que me había trabajado mi camino a través de eso mucho! El servicio era amable y el hotel estaba limpio y acogedor. Un gran hallazgo!

Paramos aquí para un bocado rápido en el almuerzo. Patatas fritas pescado ordenados y guisantes blanda y té para dos. El personal era agradable y todo estaba recién hecho. Las patatas fritas y pasta eran frescas y calientes. Mejor pescado y patatas fritas que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Vale la pena una visita.

Tenía una parte preciosa de gran Cod, aunque el menú decía que había una opción de eglefino o la merluza, que hubiera preferido, cuando pregunté por qué no estaban disponibles la camarera dijo que no había demanda para estas, entonces me dijo 'bien he pedido que habrá algunos! Tenía patatas hermosas sábanas nuevas, un agradable salsa curry, el pescado tenía una bonita empanada crujiente, mi hijo tenía carne y budín de riñón, patatas fritas y salsa a todos a un alto estándar. Buen servicio, un lugar limpio, agradable, sirve un camarera con bastante rapidez, buena relación calidad-precio. Restaurante un poco lleno en con las mesas. Un buen menú si no quieres pescado y patatas fritas, con desayunos cocinados, curry y patatas de la chaqueta.

I was taking the car to a garage in Stockport, so I looked on TripAdvisor for somewhere to eat nearby. I really don't like chain restaurants, so I'm always on the look-out for a place like this. Clean, welcoming, lovely staff/owners, tasty food, good portions, fantastic prices. I'll be going back next time I'm in the area.

This is the best place in stockport for a bite to eat. Breakfasts meals and snacks. Great place. The proprietors are great too.

Good fresh hot food. Clean tables and friendly staff. Better than some other places in the area which I've tried. Worth a visit as the food is great value for the money.

Lovely chippie! Chicken and lamb curry it's really tasty it's really clean and the staff are lovely! Probably one of the nicest places to eat lunch in Stockport xx

This is our 2nd visit to the mermaid and again faultless, lovely good sized and well priced food, toilet always spotless, good choice from breakfasts to fish and chips or homemade curry, recommend to try it

Fantastic midweek chippy lunch at Mermaids. I have never visited Mermaids and can honestly say when I visited last week that I was pleasantly surprised. Inside Mermaids is light and breezy, warm and welcoming. Portions were a good size and really tasty. Children's meals were great value too. Will return.

This place is opposite Sainsbury's in Stockport. Fabulous fish and chips and a full breakfast menu. The owner makes her own curry that seems popular with the regulars, need to go back and try the curry on a day when I'm really hungry. Fabulous kids menu

We always come here to have something to eat, the full breakfast are fresh not greasy. Lovely poached eggs on toast and Omelettes. Fish are fresh they can even steam it for you with a side salad, ohh and Lamb & chicken curry with poppadam and mango chutney and their fish finger barm are real fish not from birdseye. Over all is the best from the rest!!!

A great chippy is this place, near to sainsburys and asda. They do a large range of cooked breakfasts, including a veggie option. I had Hake, with large chips and curry sauce, lovely piece of hake, which you do not always find, nice crisp chips, pleasant curry sauce, also have cod and haddock on the menu, a nice cafe with pleasant staff, clean and good value."!!!!!!!

Really rate this cute little cafe. It's a real credit to Stockport as the town itself has gone down hill over the last few years! The cafe is also a chip shop and oh is it a good one. Always clean, the waitress's and chef are always lovely! The prices are realistic the portions are good there is always a special meal on offer! Really rate it

This is one of them little hidden chippy / cafe that satisfy, the food is cooked perfect they offer a full English breakfast to chips and gravy, home made Scillies and real potatoes peeled and chopped in the chips make them taste hoe they should.seating inside or out, it's fairly small but bright and airy. The staff an older couple make sure you feel welcome and even give samples I recommend the home made scallops.
