The food was excellent, the service was quick but gave enough time between courses. FANTASTIC mix of music and lovely atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!

I’ve been wanting to try here for ages after seeing it on instagram, finally got a child free night and booked. Had shrimp bucket and beef brisket quesadillas for starters (huge portion, I could have had it as a main!) Mains we tried the chimichanga and birria beef taco, the sauce with taco was beautiful and we upgraded the chips to dirty fries topped with chicken and chorizo. I had the Mexicali punch cocktail that was amazing. We will deffo be back again. Really reasonable prices for great freshly prepared food 🙌🙌

Service was slow. Painfully slow. Drinks took ages and they forgot many of them. We sat for over an hour before we got our food and some of the ingredients were missing. When we brought this up to a waiter they called us liars before returning sheepishly to apologise. This does not only apply to us, the family behind us also complained about very similar problems.

Really friendly local village pub, well patronised by locals and some from surrounding villages. Excellent cask ales with a weekly guest ale. Although this is not a food pub, it does sell heated sausage rolls, cornish pasties, and pizza twirls along with the usual crisps, peanuts, etc. There are regular events such as Live singers, Karaoke, Bingo, and a,weekly meat raffle on a Sunday at 4.00pm followed by 'Play your cards right'. Still very much the hub of the Community. Nothing has altered, a brilliant Village pub serving excellent beverages to the Community along with a venue for friends and families to meet together. Unfortunately, the current Landlord has had to serve notice due to price rises across the board. Hopefully, the owner will try to maintain it as a community asset. Only 5 weeks remaining as a pub in its own right. I believe it will be closed for a few weeks and reopen as an Indian restaurant under a new name and management. I will have to wait and see if it will retain any 'wet' trade for locals. The pub closed and has now re opened as a bar and grill Bangladeshi restaurant. Moocha Wala.

We booked a table for 2.30. We arrived on time only to be told that the table was not ready. We waited for 20 minutes only to be told they’re’ on desserts and we can’t hurry them’ When I asked about gluten free options I was told there was no bread; the booking was made well in advance and so again I was less than impressed. I was then told I could have a salad, but when I looked at this on the menu it contained soy, which is made from wheat. The building was beautiful but I was very disappointed by the service in the restaurant and the lack of knowledge regarding ingredients, particularly at a time when many suffer from food allergies.

Met with family for lunch last week here and didn’t even know it existed! The pub itself is a real cosy and cute pub and decorated beautifully for Christmas! The staff were all absolutely lovely and very attentive. The food was amazing! I had a starter of chicken pate and Chicken Burger for main and both tasted great. I was far too full to even look at the dessert menu but I’m sure the puddings would also have been fantastic! I really want to give this pub an excellent review as I had a lovely time and would definitely visit again but the smell is just overwhelming 😕 A very old building smell that has resulted in me having to put my coat in the washing machine it was that bad.

We visited on new years eve. Staff were brilliant. The table was beautifully set and the food was delicious. The magician was such a fun touch and we really had a wonderful evening. I called and spoke with staff after initially booking for four and wanting to add an extra person. They couldn't have been more helpful or perfect. Additionally, one of our party lost a pair of glasses somewhere during the evening. I called the restaurant the following morning to ask if any glasses had been handed in and the staff member took my number and called me back soon after, leaving a message to say they had been found. I was of course extremely grateful for all of their help.
