Sonar the the Meze and Shish owner/manager is so kind, and service oriented. My wife and I would bring our American visitors to Meze and Shish several times and were never disappointed. We always order the grilled meat platter and a cold salad platter, the puffy bread, so wonderful. It was the place to go for sit down group dinners during our months of living in London. Our waiter was usually Sonar himself or Sumitt. They are both GREAT service oriented. We recently moved back to America and will miss Meze and Shish, and the great food so much. Thank you Meze & Shish, Sonar and Sumitt for so many wonderful memories and food over the past few months.

Ive Been a few times now, started with fresh pitta n dips highly recommend the sharer platter as it has a bit of everything on there. The food was fresh salad came out was also delicious, thank you all we will definitely return again the lamb chops were tender the chicken was fresh authentic herbs and spices used i recommend anyone to try here you won't be Dissatisfied with the service either.

Rice was terrible quality not the same as before. Salad was not edible as it was soggy and was not fresh.

I was just there at 3pm and the customer service from Everyone ,especially Samed, was excellent!

A delicious lunch today. I think we were the only customers, but lovely friendly staff. Notable for the rice pudding dessert with the perfect al-dente rice.

Brilliant staff, v helpful response to request for gluten free meal for coeliac. Even provided separate dish of dipping sauces, all delicious . Shish were also tender and delicious. When back in London, we'll be back. Thank you very much!

Be aware that if you only want to eat desert and drink tea, they are not serving you. We walked in an empty restaurant (two tables occupied only) and they told us that they only serve kunefe (traditional desert that we asked to eat) only if we order food first. It is important these policies to be written somewhere eg. website as we did a journey of 20minutes drive to come and eat this.

The place is one of the best Turkish restaurants around. The service was excellent and so was the food. Talking specially about Knafeh today, it was probably the best and has set very high standards. Must visit for the same and obviously the dips!

I recently dined at Meze & Shish and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The food was really good, with great quality and taste that truly stood out. The service was fantastic, the restaurant was clean, and the interior decoration was lovely, adding to the pleasant atmosphere. However, as I was super hungry, it felt like the food took a bit long to arrive. Additionally, the prices are on the higher side, with an average of £30 for a meal and drink. That said, the quality of the food was great and tasty! I would definitely recommend Meze & Shish for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Turkish cuisine in a beautiful setting.

Muy buena kleftiko, y dos platos de cordero eran buenos, meze frío menos interesante. pero freebie diminuto pan crujiente y dos diminutos dips y unas cuantas aceitunas para cuatro mientras esperamos a nuestra red era mingy por decir lo menos. Los pudines eran ordinarios, helados y arroz con pudín. Un poco caro, pero mucho mejor de lo habitual. Iré de nuevo. Un menú increíble, solo leerlo era una comida en sí misma. El restaurante es muy espacioso y con asientos poco llenos de alcobas adelante y adelante.

My family and I always enjoy eating here on special occasions! This time, I went with my family and grandparents and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Not only are the staff very hospitable and kind, but the food is incredibly rich and delicious. And, very authentic Turkish cuisine. Regarding the menu, I would recommend the lamb chops. Fantastic experience!!

Had a meal their yesterday evening. Servers were attentive and went above and beyond. The food was the best Turkish I've had and the portions justified the price.

Got take away and for the price was really disappointing

2nd time I've ordered from this restaurant. Was disappointed the first time as the delivery driver didn't turn up and the restaurant had to deliver the food. Much better delivery service this time and the food is delicious.

Perfect place for a delicious lunch or indeed an evening meal. Great Menu at affordable prices. The food is fresh and delicious. Staff are attentive and pleasant. Another visit here January 24 and still the same excellent food, freshly cooked and delicious. Really good value set lunch with multiple choices on first and second course. Splash out and add a desert. The baklava is amazing!

I ordered from deliveroo and The meat was rotten and had a foul, horrendous smell which they tried to hide with a lot of salt, it's so crazy I can't believe it. Sickening. This could kill someone, unbelievable!!!!! Disgusting Even from inside the bin the smell is unbearable.

The meat was a bit dry and the rice was too salty the place was very nice and was very big and had a lot of places to sit overall it was a okay experience

Decided to try this. The food was good but very pricey for where and what it is. The servers were good, it was fairly empty for a Saturday night. They prices do not really reflect the locality and I am not sure I would go back because of this. It’s a shame because the food we had was tasty.

Had a late night at work and treated myself to a wash up free meal. But wasn't happy by the time I got it home. £18.80 for this.

Y Just come back from having a lovely meal with my family. The food was excellent and so was the service. The staff go the extra mile to ensure everything is alright for you. We will be back again soon.

This restaurant, located in the centre of the East Finchley, has a stylish, modern decor and friendly service. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. One of us enjoyed Adana Kofte while the other loved the Chicken Pide. We'd certainly highly recommend this restaurant.

Food has arrived undercooked chicken. Tough and pink yes there huge piece but there not cooked through on all pieces. 45 wasted and now I still have to plan a meal again tonight

Popped in here for the lunch special - £12.95 for two courses - and it was honestly delicious! Looking forward to come back here to try the full menu some time as it was all so tasty with lots of vegetarian options.

Had a bit of a rubbish date this evening, it ended long before I'd planned so I had a lot of time on my hands and nowhere to put it! To cheer myself up I thought I'd take myself for dinner and really just walked in here at random. Staff were absolutely lovely, and attentive, the food was totally incredible, and even the house wine just hit the spot perfectly! Definitely recommend, ended up pulling victory from the Jaws of defeat!

Friends took us for a lunch time meal. There is a fixed priced menu with starter , mains and dessert options. The menu offers something for everyone. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Nice Mediterranean style restaurant interior. A very enjoyable meal.

Lovely looking place, cosy decor and nice team however food is really not good. Every dish we ordered was very disappointing. Meat doesn't taste fresh (potentially defrosted before ordering..), dishes have no flavour whatsoever. Tried number of Turkish/Mediterranean restaurants in North london but never had anything this disappointing. Unless food improves, avoid at all cost

Having walked past this restaurant nearly every day for the past two years I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed by our experience here, although my partner really enjoyed it. Positives were the waiting staff were very pleasant, attentive and friendly, the restaurant has a really nice ambience, the chicken beyti main was cooked nicely for me and my partner loved her stuffed artichoke main. Negatives were how quickly the experience lasted, two starters, two mains in one hour felt so rushed. The mains came out five minutes after our starters were taken, the place was not busy but it would've been nice to relax a little more. Then the prices. The hummus starter doesn't come with bread, this was a first for me and cost £6.50. The halloumi and avocado starter cost £8.45 and was literally two slices of grilled halloumi and half an avo with a bit of oil. It was fine, but very basic for the price. The artichoke main veg accompaniment looked like it was straight out of a tin. Sweetcorn, peas and carrots did not look appetising at all. My pilaf rice was wet and contained sweetcorn and peas and was unseasoned. For the price I would expect a bit more. Two starters, two mains and a carafe of wine with service was £70 in one hour. A bit more care and patience with the food and timings would have made the evening memorable.

Edit: I was called and intimidated by the owner after my review!!! I’ll give a ring to the police now to complain about their menacing call. I was quite let down by the way we were treated due to our dietary requirements. I asked if the meat is halal and the staff said yes it is. I wanted to double check by asking do you have a certificate and he said no in a rude way and asked us to go somewhere else which has a certificate. Appalling customer service.
