Dirty hookah water and rude service

The food was pretty good however the hookah was terrible and there was stuff floating around in the water and we had to ask to have it replaced. The waiter was also rude and told us there was a time limit even though the restaurant was practically empty. No idea how this place was labeled the best hookah in London.

House DJ Sofia killed it, great service and awesome view. Food was solid, shisha was tasty, classy atmosphere.

The place is gorgeous. Staff was very nice and fun. The reason why only 4 stars disappointment was desert. We took set menue that included desert (£75 per person) but we didn't want baklava so we ordered other desert separately. Both were not nice. We didn't know that there will be a dancer and that was great. Total of the bill for 2 people was £260. Was it worth it - maybe, if desert would be edible then it would be yes.

We had an amazing time at Mezemiso and our waitress Laaibah was fantastic. I just didn’t have cash on me to tip her personally but she very efficient and kind towards us. The food was fantastic, especially the Short Ribs. Beautiful scenery and good atmosphere. Will definitely come again.

We ordered the hummus and bread as starters which was a nice start to our meal as it tasted fresh and the bread was warm. And that was all that was nice about the whole meal. We ordered the shish tawook and noodles with chicken and both lacked flavour. We hoped the dessert would bring something back so we ordered the chocolate fondant which was described as having a rich chocolatey middle but was over baked and dry. We also had shisha and that was good. What ruined our experience is that a server named “Ahmed” I believe, spent most his time with tables which had only females on them and pretty much gave minimal service to other tables. Also apparently in this establishment, “discretionary” service charge meant that it was mandatory and not as the customers discretion/choice. The same server had said “you need to pay this as they are in a hotel”. Appalling and complete waste of money.

Great place .I didn't expect to find a such a good place in the heart of London. It was a birthday present from my wife. Having the chance too eat the dinner at a such a late hour then enjoying a cigar and a glass of whiskey, just blown my mind. Nice welcoming from a great staff. Well done team. PS I'll be back !!!!

Horrible attitude from the host. Instead of greeting me with an engaging welcome, she immediately starts grilling you with questions. Asking if I was a hotel guest and if I were there for food. Who goes to a restaurant and does not order food. I looked at the high price, lackluster menu, and got out of there. They claim to have a rooftop patio, but only the people eating at the tables outside can enjoy it. What a disappointing first impression.

Booked an outer lounge was cold and was pretty much forced to pay service charge which is 26£… ontop of that bought a set course firstly the starters are like party food from Tesco’s and tiny and the bread was dry and bland and not fresh the drinks was expensive and filled wid ice only the main mixed grill was 1 kebab and some chicken tiny cubes alll this for 240 plus forced to pay shisha Wallahi the most pointless waste of money could spend 240 and go to the shard and also at the end got pretty much kicked out because someone else has the table next 0 out of 10 DO NOT BUY

The Service is awful. The waiter is disrespectful and looks at me like i was his archenemy. What the hell is he thinking to just look at customers that way. They also try to sell you things you dont even asked for. for example: i told the guy to add some soda into my mocktail because its way too sweet, then he orders me a whole soda for 8 Pounds so i can do it by myself. what the hell is that poor service. All in all proor service and toooooo pricy 50£ for a shisha?!

Disappointing New Year's Eve experience at Mezemiso! We were really looking forward to our New Year's Eve at Mezemiso in London, but unfortunately we were disappointed. Although we had reserved a table inside, due to lack of space we were seated outside on the terrace, which was uncomfortable in the cold and windy temperatures. To our surprise, we had to “buy” two shishas or cigars worth £50-60 per couple, even if we are not smokers - we would still be charged for this cost, which was not communicated in advance! In addition, we were surprised by the amount of the tip - 12.7% of the total bill, which seemed unreasonably high to us. The food was also disappointing. For a price of £95 per plate we expected far more. In our hometown of Mannheim we get significantly better and tastier dishes for the same price. We only liked the starters and the künefe at the end. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating, but unfortunately even the excellent service could not make up for the excessive prices and disappointing food. In total we paid around €750 for two couples and would have been better off spending the money elsewhere. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant and will certainly not come back.

So the 5 star review is solely for Laaibah & the manager who welcomed us in. Laaibah's service was amazing, she was attentive & no ask was too much. Polite, friendly, professional. The ribs which we ordered amongst other food, were delicious. Unfortunately, I've dropped a star for some of the other male staff who asked how the shisha was, but when we said it was pulling too much air.. he seemed disinterested. We asked that the heater on the terrace needs turning up... he said move seats..there wasn't any proactivenese to make our experience better. Shame, as this place has potential for a 5 star rating.

I visited Mezemiso recently to celebrate my anniversary, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. DJ was good and the rest. Although we were welcomed upon arrival, we were seated in a corner next to a loud DJ, despite mentioning it was a special occasion. Many better tables at the back with nicer views were empty, yet we were given one of the least desirable spots. To add to this, I noticed a cloakroom when the DJ opened a closet, revealing coats hanging inside, but this service wasn’t offered to us. Instead, we had to hang our coats on the backs of our chairs, which felt inappropriate for a restaurant of this standard. When the food arrived, my steak was well-prepared—juicy and flavorful—but my partner’s lamb cutlets were dry and tough to eat. Unfortunately, the experience was further disrupted by a staff member—a short man with a small beard—who kept rushing us and interrupting our conversation. He repeatedly asked, “Are you done?” even though it was clear we were still enjoying our time. This kind of service felt intrusive and disrespectful, especially on a special occasion. I was also surprised to find that bread and hummus, which are complimentary at most similar restaurants, were charged on the bill. To top it off, an £18 service charge was added despite the subpar service. For the high price point, the overall experience didn’t feel worth it. While the steak was enjoyable, the lack of attention to detail, poor service, and failure to accommodate a special occasion left me disappointed. I hope the restaurant considers these points and improves its service to match its price and reputation.

Amazing food and vibes, with a bar that offers alcohol-free options—mocktails are fantastic! What keeps bringing us back, though, is Sofia. From our first night at Mez when she was DJing, she’s been nothing but hospitable. She played great music, wished us well when we left, and ever since, we always come back to see her, especially for birthdays. She even asks if we have any song requests and treats us more like family than just visitors. Defo wouldn't have come back as many times if it wasn't for Sofia. 🙌👏

The vibes were amazing, the staf was very kind and the dj (Sofia) was so dope. She played the best remixes and because of her we had a lovely night with Arabic/house/latin music. Our friend really enjoyed her 30th birthday.

If you want to feel like you’re having dinner at a night club, by all means come to this place. Came here expecting a nice, pleasant dinner but instead, music was blasted loudly throughout the entire dinner to the point where we had to shout in order to converse during the meal. Absolutely horrible. Requested them to turn down the music but nothing changed. Food was sub-par the best . Lamb was dry. Would not recommend anyone to come here for dinner if you’re expecting a pleasant time.👎🏻

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant, which I had booked for my special guest who came from far away. Upon arrival, I found out that Shisha was not served in the main dining area where food was served. Instead, we were sent to a small, cramped room with only four tables, which lacked any sort of atmosphere. We were seated on the rooftop, and the conditions were unbearable. The winds were so strong that it was impossible to sit comfortably, and there was insufficient heating. When I mentioned that it was too cold to stay, the staff offered me a blanket, which is completely unacceptable for what is supposed to be a relaxing and high-quality dining experience. This lack of preparation and communication was infuriating. If the conditions were unsuitable for guests, I should have been informed in advance. I ended up canceling the table because it was impossible to enjoy the evening, yet I was still charged £100. Not only was this a complete waste of time and money, but I also felt humiliated in front of my guest. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a comfortable or professional experience. This was a complete letdown, and I will not be returning.

Overall a good experience. Service was excellent. Location is very good with a nice view of the river, And good view of landmarks from some of the seating (not all). They have a live DJ, Unfortunately I'm not a fan of loud music whilst eating, but that's a personal preference. So just an FYI. The food was very good but was not 5 star good IMO. Espeacially for the price of about £60pp for food only. It's well presented, but all a bit safe. The flavours were all a bit subdued and didn' taste LIKE traditional lebanese, more like mix of western and lebanese.

Great Night! We booked out half the restaurant for our Xmas party and the team were able to answer all of our questions in a timely manner. On the night of our event the team pulled out all of the stops to make sure our party of 30 were catered to adequately. The cocktails were 10/10 and the bar staff were unstoppable. The resident DJ (Sofia Bellerby) was superb and played all genres of music to keep my party entertained. She also did impromptu photography for our group as well - Something I forgot to book myself so was amazing! (The pictures were fantastic…!!!!!) Lastly the food was impeccable and the team did an amazing job. Will definitely be back soon!

Genuinely one of my absolute favourite restaurants in London, celebrated my birthday two years in a row there now. The most amazing service and hospitable staff, the manager is just so hospitable and really takes part with the team to provide excellent service. Also a big shout out to Sofia the resident DJ she is phenomenal and really livens up the atmosphere. Just an all round great restaurant for events such as birthdays but even if you just want to go out to eat amazing views and great service !!

Super friendly and warm welcome on arrival and attentive service throughout. Excellent cocktails to start and my wife certainly can vouch for the Cosmopolitan which was excellently executed. Tried a Lebanese red wine which was lovely, similar to a Bordeaux but very slightly softer. The food was very good and flavoursome, the Miso cod outstanding and beautifully cooked. A very nice dining experience

Food was ok just not worth the price , service needs improving they are not attentive enough and you may have to ask more than twice for something you want, they cannot appropriately accommodate nut allergy sufferers but the atmosphere is fun on weekends and drinks are a decent price and size

A special mention goes to Ahmed, our server, who not only made us laugh throughout the night but also went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. I celebrated my 21st birthday there with my friend, and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere, the food, and the incredible service made this night truly special. Rooftop dining above the Thames. Quality of the food was absolutely amazing, made from the best of meats. Service was very good by all staff we crossed path with. Exceptional welcome by host Moha or Mona [sorry I'm not good with remembering names lol] and Ramona. Good entertainment- Live DJ and other. Would I return again? It's a yes from me. They have a minimum spend of £60 per person and their service charge which is automarically added to your bill is apparently mandatory and you must pay which I found a bit odd.

Not worth it. Paid 155 pounds for 2x shisha + 5 drinks & we were forced to leave after 40 minutes. The shisha taste was very bad & very rude service. Needless to waste your money there, I can't recommend it.

They went above and beyond to service my cousin and I. Thank you, Moha, for seating us in a lovely and scenic area with your comforting smile and charisma. Khalid and Besil, you two are phenomenal employees of this lovely establishment. Thank you for suggesting an amazing meal and providing us with a great hookah (blue mist mix with lady killer). We selected the prefixed menu that came with the following assorted appetizers: sausage, spicy potatoes, hummus, and spinach/meat/cheese empanada. For entree, we had the black cod fish and chicken kabasa. For dessert, I can't even recall because we were so stuff that we forgot to take it home with us. The decor of the restaurant was very chic, comforting, and well lit. The hookah area where we had our 5 star hookah was a little chilly due to the current climate. However, Khalid and Besil provided us with a warm throw blanket to keep us warm, even with the heater being on in the area. That was truly a sweet accommodation. Overall, the food was well seasoned, delicious, and very fulfilling. We were extremely stuff. Thank you for an amazing experience! We will return!

THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH IT!! everything was TASTELESS! How can you say “mixed grill” and all you get is a meddy lamb, chicken and kofta enough for a child. The Shisha was not Savvaco!! I always get Savvaco so it most definitely is NOT genuine, the server tried to get us to get 2 £70 Shishas the cheeky git, couldn’t even explain what “ice rocks” was and was trying to be rude even though he was the one that couldn’t explain it in English and said we can’t mix flavours?! I have never in my life heard that before. Clearly these people are money hungry and are dying to get you to spend as much as you can. Please read the bad reviews they’re all the same for a reason and they respond to them with the same message because they can’t be bothered to change. I don’t care that you have a nice view the food matters so does the Shisha eps if you’re changing Mayfair prices it’s actually laughable. Also why was the music volume on a 100 on a Sunday?! I can’t even hear my friend next to me it’s ridiculous. Don’t respond with the same message I don’t want to hear it this place is a joke

As we walked in the receptionist and manager was very polite, and the restaurant was clean and nice looking. The allocated server was extremely rude and his uniform was hanging off and it felt more like we was at a self service kiosk. The food was bland and barely existent, I’ve genuinely had dog toys with more flavour in it. The night got worse once the illustrious shisha arrived. It was bent(leaning to one side) and non of the things we wanted were available E.g icepipe, and about 80% of the Savacco flavours. Once it came it most definitely did not taste like Savacco, maybe it was a new limited edition coal flavour. In fact the couple behind us also complained about the same issue. I think for the price this should have been a crime. Also the windows looked like they were cleaned with a wet doormat.
