Mezza Restaurant in Bradford

**Absolutely Disgusting Experience – Maggots in My Drink!** I have given Mezza Restaurant multiple chances, but after my latest experience, I will never be returning. I ordered a mocktail (Mezza Sunset) and was absolutely horrified to find **maggots** in my drink. I immediately reported it to the staff, who replaced it with a so-called “fresh” one—but upon inspecting it, I found **more maggots** in the drink! After raising my concerns again, the kitchen manager inspected the fruit juices and confirmed that **there were maggots in the orange juice they were serving.** What disgusted me the most was that even after this was discovered, they **continued serving the same drink to other customers** rather than removing them. The complete lack of care for hygiene and customer safety is beyond appalling. This was my fourth visit to Mezza, and I can confidently say that **3 out of 4 visits have been awful.** The service is consistently poor, with staff who have no clue what’s going on, menu items frequently unavailable, and dishes being served in the wrong order (mains before starters, for example). But finding insects in my drink was the final straw. Avoid this place at all costs. If maggots in drinks and a complete disregard for food safety don’t put you off, the terrible service surely will.

Decor very nice, quiet for a Sunday evening. I ordered the sea bass which wasn’t great. Looked very different to what was shown on menu & missing the salad & potatoes (shown on menu). It tasted ok. Service pace was ok but once we got our meal we were not checked on again. I’ve added pic of what was shown on menu & what arrived.

I like the food i would like to come again :)

Great food, always presented to a very high standard also. Service is a little slow however it is understandable with the amount of guests they hold! And the wait is definitely worth it ❤️

It was so busy that beside having a table booked the made us wait. At the end, we got tired of waiting so we decided to leave without eating. If they did not have tables available, I dont know how they allowed us to book a space online. Also, the outside car park was shut and only allowed few cars in, so we had to park far away from the restaurant as there were no spaces available anywhere near the restaurant and all for nothing as we ended up leaving. We wont come back.

Really enjoyed the Classic Beef Burger. Really fresh ingredients Soup is also so tasty all served by lovely people with lovely smiles in gorgeous surroundings with morrocan styled lighting. Most restaurants nowadays are far too bright to relax but Mezza seem to have hit the perfect ambience ♡

Lovely dine in place, absolutely love the halloumi and I always go for the chicken shish taouk. Amazing good! The mocktail is really nice too, I always go for the pink lemonade.

food was nice; we asked for the food to come together but it came separately which was a shame as we had to wait for each of our food to arrive so as a result food got cold. the food was delicious which made up for it

The ambience is great. We were accommodated despite a late booking. The food is well made, succulent meat, falafel was outstanding, the lamb shank and Beiruti Grill that we tried did not disappoint. The main chef was willing to help. Staff were overall helpful, sometimes took time to access as was a busy evening.

Food is always outstandingly good, service is also amazing, particularly from Yusuf who is extremely kind, and helpful at recommending food and drinks.

Loved the experience as always at Mezza, food was delectable and full of flavour, atmosphere is authentically pleasing to the eye, music was lovely also and the customer service was exceptional we were served by Ahmed and he was professional and friendly what more can you ask for. Mezza have outdone themselves in once again!

It was our first visit here for my granddaughters 16th birthday. We were a party of 10. The waiter was attentive, helpful and polite tbroughout. Everyone loved their food. Some of its had a main meal whilst others shared a selection of mezze dishes. It was all delicious and full of flavour. Lots of vegan and veggie options for the non meat eaters amongst us. Wish it was more local for us but it definitely warrants a return visit.

Gorgeous freshly made food in the loveliest venue. I'm knocking down a star as recently service has gotten a bit poor.. i blame the young staff who are not as authentic with the cuisine as previous staff were. Also they don't do tap water.. totally disgusting and ridiculous. The place is expensive as it is and they can't even give you a glass of water without charging you?? Absolute robbery. That being said, the quality and taste of food has always delivered. I recommend you try as it's one of the best in Bradford and I can't wait to go back!

Went here for my birthday last week with family, friendly staff, delicious food but I cannot tell you enough about their kunefe. It tasted so good reminded me of the time I tried kunefe in turkey for first time. Spent about £120 for 5ppl. I recommend

The restaurant looks really nice. First restaurant I came across where a chef is unable to substitute food or make a dish in a smaller size. If you are charging like a big restaurant,you should be able to participate like a big restaurant I think.

Always drove past this place but never went in which I regret now. Booked a table was late and rearranged the time which staff were understanding about. Had the most beautiful food full of flavour, polite staff, clean environent and amazing service. Defo will be coming back again.

We came and got the mixed grill for 4 and it was amazing, plenty of food to fill us up. Desserts were really nice too. Aboudy and the rest of the front of house team gave us excellent, friendly service, would 100% recommend coming here

The food was really nice we had the Turkish style pizza and chicken wings which were really nice and then for dessert had baklava which also nice but it didn’t taste like fresh and to top of I had the Turkish tea which was really nice and went as a treat the service was great and I would recommend.

Was recommended this place by a friend. The food and ambience was very good indeed. The lamb tava was a little to overpowered with a tomato flavour for my liking. The mix grill and special pide was flavoursome and cooked well.

Great food and great service. Very nice atmosphere. We were a group of 9 and spent around 20 per person and we really enjoyed it overall. The food was well cooked and the mocktails were nice. Presentation of food was great and the atmosphere was very aesthetic. I think it's a great place. Would definitely recommend.

Hands down my favourite turkish grill food in Bradford! I recommend the special mix grill and the sujuk. The best dessert is definitely the baklava and ice cream. Can't wait to come back!

AVOID AVOID AVOID Rude people, pathetic behaviour. I ordered through just eat. The orders wasn’t complete. Chicken tenders was for my Autistic nephew and he was starving. I called the restaurant and requested him to send me tenders. His answer was he gave me the full order and if I need anything extra I have to come myself. And if I think anything was missing I have to speak to just eat and not to call them. I paid £67 for the food and felt like it was waste of time and money. When the food came it was cold and well below the standard. I burger from Salah Leeds Road will taste 10 times better than the garbage they sell. I read reviews and one of TikTok’s food reviewer. And we all have same answer I-e Garbage food, garbage behaviour.

Delicious food as always but Ahmed gave exceptional service and made our dinner experience so much better!

Food didn't have much flavour, not a very personalised service, refused to serve tap water & massively overpriced. I wont be returning, there is a much nicer, friendlier restaurant serving very similar style food nearby which offers service with a smile & much more flavour.

Went for tea yesterday evening and wasn't sure what to expect as never been before. Little difficult parking as carpark already full and I have a mobility disability so wanted to park close to entrance, unfortunately not possible on this occasion and had to park up the road. On entrance we were greeted by a lovely young man who gave us a choice of tables which could accommodate my walking aid without affecting the other tables around us. The restaurant was was beautifully designed and decorated, light and welcoming with comfy chairs and clean good height tables. It was explained to us that menus are accessed by scanning a barcode and orders taken at the table by waiting staff. We chose to drink water which came very quickly, ice cold, sealed bottle and with sparkly clean glasses. As we were unsure as to what we fancied eating our lovely young man suggested a special mixed grill for 2. We had to wait a little while as our food was freshly cooked on the open grill which we could see from our table. The chefs knew exacly what they were doing resulting in the most succulent, and tasty food we've had in a ling time. Staff and restaurant were superb. Definately recommend and we'l be coming again with family. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our tea tonight, it's been great. See you again soon.

Came for a work meal, food came out fast and it tasted good. Service was fast and very polite happy with that. Negative point when you order cold started share they only bring out 2 nana bread.

Very expensive, the staff gave us choice of only 1 set of meal for 2 people. And more disappointing thing was that they gave us only 1 sweat dish to share between us, instead of 2 dishes.

Food was amazing, service was very good and food came really quick. Waiters constantly checking if we are okay and needs attended to. friendly and family orientated environment

Ridiculous no one in the restaurant waited 30 mins and go no food. This place is a joke, the prices are like hang on to your seats call the mortgage broker. As the saying goes the best way is stay away.

The place is really nicely decorated, loved the colourful lamps. We had a hot starter each & a large main dish, the portions were very generous, everything was delicious. Friendly service from Aboudy. Would highly recommend!

Went for the first time yesterday as a couple and was amazing. Authentic food the starters were delicious and the mains were yummy the pide and kebab was 10/10. Finished with authentic arabic tea. Atmosphere was good felt comfortable & service was 10/10, professional waiters and front of house :) Would come again to try more things off their menu:) Well run establishment 👍🏼

Ambience superb! Service is really good and takes moderate time. Food is okay. Surprisingly, they don't serve normal water and a large bottle of still water is £4.90 which is an overkill. We ordered vegetable grill, chicken and lamb kebabs. Vegetables were half grilled and were pretty dry. Chicken and lamb too were a bit dry. Spicy rice was pretty bland by spice standards. We were served a complimentary bowl of chips, which was better than the rest of food. Overall, ok to visit once but for the price and taste, its worth exploring other options
