Pedimos Veggie Burger and Chips y Chicken and Mushroom Pie Chips y Curry Sauce y 2 tés. Tuvimos que pagar por adelantado ANTES de que empezaran a preparar nada. Nuestra comida llegó después de 15 minutos el bollo de hamburguesa estaba rancio y las patatas fritas eran todos restos (lo único comestible en 1 comida era la hamburguesa) luego la 2a comida se podía decir que el pastel había sido cocinado más de dos veces (hueso seco en el medio). Las patatas fritas eran duros y crujientes (salsa de curry era lo mejor). Mientras estábamos comiendo el joven de detrás de la freidora salió por la puerta principal agarró el cubo de rueda marrón y tiró del cubo sucio más allá de nosotros en la tienda mientras estábamos comiendo, luego fue directamente detrás del mostrador (sin lavarse las manos) vimos esto se puso de pie y dejó más de £ 20. 00 comida y bebida en la mesa y salió. EVITAR EVITAR EVITAR este agujero sucio a toda costa

Went in here as it was the closest fish and chip cafe to us and it we wanted to get the kids dinner and out of the rain. The food was awful, chips were hard but edible, however fish was slimy wet and definitely not fish shop fish, the curry sauce was the only nice part of the meal. None of us finished our meal.

I'm not one to moan about my food but the fish had abit of a funky taste, maybe frozen or old, either way it was certainly not fresh. Didn't eat it at all. I also didn't like the batter. Chips were OK but they weren't "proper chips" in my book, however, the curry sauce was good. Gutted my seaside fish and chips was £18 wasted. Got a hotdog off the pier straight after.

Worst fish and chips I've ever had. Asked if they had Haddock to be told coldly 'We only sell Haddock'. Bought Haddock and chips x2. Chips were hard. Fish stunk of ammonia and didn't flake like it should. Portions pitiful but that didn't really matter because we couldn't eat it. Got up and walked out. Shocking to think this is a Fish and Chip shop right by the sea in one of the most iconic seaside resorts in the UK.

Went into this cafe with my dad a few weeks ago. We had pie and chips and sat inside. My dad asked where the toilet was only to be told "oh we don't have a toilet" !!! Now as far as I know it's illegal for premises serving food to eat in not to have a toilet. We were absolutely disgusted.

I’ve lived in Blackpool for over 1 year and only just tried mickey finn’s. Their fish cakes are very nice unlike some places, the fish just crumbles when you try and eat it which is a good sign of fresh fish. The chips aren’t bad but could be better, besides that I enjoyed it the 3 times I’ve been this week!!

Spent another happy time at Mickey Finns, I ordered a cheese burger and hubs had is usual fish and chips, enjoyed both , read some of the previous reviews and were I think the place décor probably isn't Buckingham palace we have never had a problem with the food, and the staff have always been very nice, yes we will use it again on the odd occasion

Been Passed it in the past never a place id been in before so gave it a try Since My Usual Place wasn't open food was good fresh and the staff were pleasant not sure if ill use again in the future but was good for a change

Ordered fish chips and peas x 2, sausage and chips & meat and potato pie and chips cost £28 and I left everything. The fish smelt of rotten flesh and the food was just poor. Never ever will return. And I find the good in everything so such a bad review is not Normal for me.

Called in on a sunday tea time. 6 fellas working in there seemed overkill. We ordered sausage and chips ..plus steak pie chips peas and gravy..The more we sat there the more we wished we hadnt.Our meals arrived ..the peas were just a pea wash over the chips. It added colour but nothing else. I watched one chap buttering bread. Lying the bread in the palm of one hand... buttering it with the other hand.Dont they have bread boards or food prep area.We watched plates in the dishwasher stacked... the door was opened and a kettle of hot water poured over them then door closed agsin. It was never switched on.. its was not a pleasant experirnce and if this is the best blackpool has to offer then dont bother...Really its a dump

Popped in here for takeaway chips before heading back to the car after a day in blackpool. We were served straight away by polite staff, and got our food immediately. To me though, the chips werent proper chippy chips. This disappointed me for a seaside chip shop! I dont think il return - for that reason.

as we were in the car park we decided to go here as it was close to the car park before he headed home, the staff were polite, i got fish and chips for me and my mam kids got chicken burger and donner meat with chips we all had a clean plate lovely food and daughter said best donner meat shes ever had, only let down was the coffee, would go back here.

If you want a kebab with soaking wet pita bread and gritty and oily (yet dry?) donner meat, this is the place to go! Would give zero stars if possible

We've used this on quite a few occasions and today we went in as we were out for the day.The childrens meal wasn't that pleasant sausage and chips and the cheeseburger was so chewy! Never had a burger like it to be honest. The tea was made with the cheapest of teabags there really wasn't much taste to it at all.I just seems to have gone down hill a bit and that's a shame because we used to like it there

Called to this place for dinner, as i was entering the fryer also came in from smoking outside. He then took my order which included a barm cake which he started to handle, well i then changed my mind and left the chippy as i don't think it's right to be handling food when you've not washed your hands.

Once again I must congratulate this restaurant on the superlative service and absolutely delicious food. The fish and chip meal was delicious: beautifully cooked chips crispy on the outside and soft and creamy inside and the freshest fish I have ever tasted. I wondered if it had been caught that very same day. Friendly and courteous customer service - and they certainly know how to make a delicious cup of tea to round off the meal! There may be many fish and chip restaurants in Blackpool - including a very well known one - but I shall always visit Mickey Finn's on future visits. The prices are realistic and very fair. Well worth a visit - I would heartily recommend.

Despite going to Blackpool for years I'd never been in Mickey Finns before - but I'll certainly be going again. For just £7.50 I had fish, chips & peas and a mug of tea. The fish was enormous and very lightly battered and tasted just freshly cooked. The whole meal was tasty (tea a bit milky but can't have everything!). Will be returning on my next trip to Blackpool

Old old old food sausage and chips passable only kebab I’ve ever had re -fried meat (fried🤣) in a pitta with no salad or sauce think i must have had a Micky finn to eat here

we went here twice and both myself and my son ordered dona meat and chips and they gave us the mayo to add for our delight and pleasure. Husband had pie and chips. We all had chilled bottled water. The staff seemed very polite and thoughtful and even kept my food to one side as one of the kids wanted to use the loo in mcdonalds as soon as he sat down.So we had a mad dash and then as soon as I returned my meal was served. Would highly recommend, they had such patience with the occasional merry customer too.

Went here for lunch on a recent trip to blackpool. There was 11 of us eating. The fish was frozen potions, the chips were hard and under cooked. I ordered a cup of tea which came with milk in. When I asked for a new one with no milk I was tutted at, then my cheese toastie was chucked infront of me, not even cut in half! The service and attitude of the staff was beyond disgraceful. They were talking amongst themselves in a foreign language clearly slagging us off too! Wouldnt reccomend anyone eat here. Only good point was the meat n potato pie my son got looked nice.

Food is not priced as it states outside. Portions were tiny and the fish was not fresh. You can smell the oil needs changing. I looked in the display cabinet and the salad looked about 4 days old. They speak in there language to each other and this makes you feel uncomfortable. The cutlery is very cheap and old. £24 for 2 tiny kids meals and 2 fish and chips. Looks dirty run down and needs shutting down.

This restaurant deserves the highest praise. The staff are very courteous and display excellent customer service skills: the food - fish and chips, in my case - was served piping hot and was absolutely delicious. The batter was wonderfully crispy, just how batter should be. And they serve a truly excellent cup of tea, to finish off the meal. Ate here twice on my trip to Blackpool. Once had jumbo sausage with chips and the other time i had Pie & Chips.Though on both occasions there were a few hard chips,both meals were on the whole very good.

Came here with family. First issue was prices outside not same as inside. Second issue was portion was small and chips like those crumbly bits. Last issue was everyone got a fork but me and when I was told to help myside. Definitely will not visit here again

We had been to a show and ended up in the castle pub next door. Having not eaten we popped in for fish n chips in the early hours of the morning. Absolutely gorgeous. Best fish I have had in absolutely ages. Crispy fresh batter. Flaky white fish and lovely crispy chips. I could eat again right now!

Had a takeaway fish chips which where lovely fresh and crispy twice when staying in a nearby guesthouse. Liked the separate mushy peas and tasty gravy! Shame they don't do pickled onions. Enjoyed it and would visit again.

Didn’t taste the chips as waited forever!!!, service was appalling and could see the rolling of eyes from them over other customers. Asked for money back and walked out!!!, stunned!!

whats happened to mickey finns, used to be one of the best chippys in blackpool, fish used to be flaky and fantastic, and great chips, now the fish taste frozen and not fresh, mickey finns is a blackpool instituation, get the proper food back on the menu guys.

We couldn't choose where to go for lunch and ended up eating in this cafe. The staff were friendly and the food cooked fresh and very nice. Place could do with a deep clean and lick of paint as it looks old and tiered.

Called in for a bag of chips and curry sauce. Took 15mins for the Chips, got back to my hotel The Ruskin and they weren’t cooked, cold and hard. Very disappointing. Never again!!

Worst fish and chips We’ve ever had. The fish was soggy the chips were tasteless. Mushy peas was runny. Curry sauce was disgusting. Chips where left in the open uncooked. Evan the seagulls turned them down. Staff was uninterested and did not wash there hands. This place should be closed. Do not go. -5*

We called in here for some chips as our granddaughter was hungry. The chips were frozen! and served in a bowl! They were horrible and we left them. The restaurant was dirty in fact it's the worst! eating place we have ever been in and I felt ashamed to take my granddaughter in there. The toilet was also dirty and stunk!! Its maddening that people are paying there hard earned money in this dirty place. NEVER Again

Tuvimos el peor pescado y patatas fritas que hemos tenido en esta comida para llevar. Grasienta, congelados de pescado y patatas fritas se anuncia como 'pescado fresco! "Mis dos hijos dijeron que había salchichas estaba bien pero sabía "diferente" de salchichas venda habituales.

This was by far the worst place we visited in Blackpool. We were looking for somewhere near before we returned to our B & B. Firstly the staff were very off putting and not at all welcoming. We ordered 2 lots of fish and chips, bread and butter and a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich. The fish was a horrid dark colour, I suspect cooked in old oil, and under each fish there was a large pool of dark yellow grease, neither of my two boys could eat it and left both meals. I struggled with the toasted sandwich as it was barely toasted and the bread was very obviously the cheapest you could get. We left with the majority of the food lying on the plates and the staff couldn't have cared less. This place is one to avoid!

For some unknown reason (laziness, convenience) we have ended up coming here for an end of night Kebab 2 years running - never again. We thought it was terrible last year but put it down to staff not understanding the request of a "Kebab". Nope same terrible experience this year. Salad was basically missing, they don't even know how to construct a kebab. Words fail me to describe how bad it is - avoid at all costs there is much more choice and much better quality in Blackpool. It's not even that cheap.

I came here a while back now; where do I start?! The people there are very uncomfortable to talk to, which made me feel uneasy. The person who came to bring us our food placed it rather harshly on the table and didn't say a word. The food itself looked greasy and it tasted awful, chips were bland and soggy! The ketchup was a really odd pink colour and tasted nothing like any ketchup I've had before. I actually felt quite nauseous after eating there!Please don't waste your time, go somewhere proper for fish and chips! I shall stick to Harry Ramsdens from now on...

We arrived a little too late to go to the Palma cafe across the road, so went in here for something to eat. The chips were ok - but that was it. The fish was tasteless and greasy and expensive in comparison to the good chip shops nearby.I'd avoid and would never recommend!

Went in here on the day I had arrived in Blackpool. I was staying up the road at a nice little hotel, and after the long trip on the national express coach just wanted a nearby spot for a quick bite to eat.Went in here. Was not that impressed with the cleanliness, gotta be honest. The welcome/friendly nature of staff even less so. A foreign bloke was just sort of propped up against the wall throughout staring around and the other guy, a big guy who looked like he eats more of the chips than he sells, never smiled or interacted at all. Not a "hello" or "welcome", just more if a "alright" and "there you are" when he brought over my food. The food was average at best. Needless to say I didn't go back there during the rest of my stay in the area. I was the only person in there along with 2 ladies who were just having a warm drink each. Is it any wonder you're not very busy if your miserable and not very clean looking staff are serving pretty poor food.Loads of chippies in the Blackpool area - Give this place a miss people.

went here for tea i had beef and onion pie wife had fish chips mushy peas chips freshly done every time reasonably priced a must visit batter on fish out of this world melts in mouth staff polite will call again

This was perhaps the worst chippie ive ever had in my life everything cooked in sane greasy dirty fryer came out dripping with fat, everything was dark looking tasteless and tiny portions wrapped in a single piece of paper, I could go on about the morning after and how bad it was but if u have any sense I'd stay well clear:

No no no & more no. Sorry but the food was disgusting and had wondered why my daughter & I was the only people in there. It was near fifteen pounds for two plates of fish, chips & mushy peas. The food was tasteless, greasy and wouldn't fill a mouse. Never ever again the place is also in need of refurbishing & a darn good clean. Disappointed don't even cut it.

It has everything you need at 7.30 pm on a Blackpool evening. Hot food ,served quickly .We had 2 sit down meals and enjoyed both of them. Friendly staff.

Disgusting.We had fish and chips and cheese burgers and it was vile. Staff totally rude and sat in corner watching some music on Their phone., laughing and chatting at top of Their voices in their own language.Not acceptable but Typical of today's society

we went to this chippy before getting our coach home and had an unpleasant experience and will not be revisiting EVER!!!!i ordered a cheese toastie which cost £3.00 and it was just a bog standard toastie like you can make yourself at home but the crust was so hard it almost broke my toothAlso my 7yr old son who ordered chicken nuggets and chips found a bit of what looked like grit in one of his chipsThe staff in the chippy looked undesirable and the place itself was not very clean

We went to this chippy after deciding to have fish and chips for dinner. With all others being full we come across this one.Soon entering we knew deep down it was a bad idea. Staff would stare and were very quiet and hard to understand. We ordered fish and chips at which the fish was greasy and chips tasteless. Sauce bottles and salt shaker were filthy and greasy to touch. The last two customers left at which we then felt very uncomfortable and we just wanted to get out away from their stares so we left without finishing and went to KFC. Would my recommend to ANYONE walk a bit further up the road like we should have done!!

Not sure what I ate but it wasn't what normal fish and chips taste like.Fish and batter tasteless, now i think of it I wish I had just left it as it was such a letdown. And the vinegar was so weak it didn't alter the taste.

Came here on The switch on weekend. I came here with my mam and we decided to get pie and chips and gravy. I got meat and potato and my mum steak and Kidney. We sat inside and then they brought the food over. Even though they new we were eating inside they still brought it over in a paper tray. The pie was suck in the micro wave for around 5 minutes so took ages to cool down. My mam left all her pie as it tasted cheap & horrible. My pie was tasteless to. The way they take your order and prepare your food is manic and not organised. To make matters worse a woman hooked on drugs came in bothering us and other customers asking for money/ to use a phone. The staff watched her sit and bother us all but did nothing to move her on. She then asked for staff for some food for free. They gave her what ever she wanted to eat FOR FREE!! we had to pay for our meals but druggies can come in and get it for free. Will never come back here again!!!

Oh dear, oh dear! Absolutely shocking food, the little bit of sea creature cooked in the indescribable batter was inedible, the chips were dried up and tasteless and the mushy peas had a strange smell. We both left the majority of this meal as we could not bring ourselves to eat it. The worst fish and chips I have ever had the misfortune to taste.

I was on holiday with my partner and 2 children, we had been out all day and wanted a chippy to finish the day off. I saw Mickey Finns on the way back to our hotel and chose to eat there.... Worst decision I've made in a long time.I decided to have the 'Fish on Bun' which I can only describe as revolting. I thought the fish would be fresh with Blackpool being next to the sea but both the fish and batter tasted nothing like they should. My partner got Chips and Curry sauce which was not much better. The curry sauce was watery and the chips were not great.I also had to laugh at the several spelling mistakes on there Menu boards.... 'Tamato', 'Bannana' and my favourite 'Donner Meat in Try'... This just summed the place up. I would recommend people give this place a miss when in Blackpool and with the prices they charge as well they are taking people for a ride.Try 'The Chippy' in Fleetwood, now that is what a Chippy should be like.

We love this place for a hot dog on our way home from the pub. Eat in or takeaway.Fast friendly service, and reasonably priced. These guys are hard workers, especially Coco who has become a friend of ours over the years. Always get a warm welcome.

Went here for a quick bite to eat, I was a little put off by the £1.60 price for chips, but I got charged £1.50 anyway and they were delicious! My boyfriend and I made it a tradition to go there most nights and take our food to the beach, we went so many times that the owner knew our order off by heart.When we ate in we were treat with the up most respect, given food on proper plates and brought knives, forks, sauce etc. without being prompted. I can't wait to go there again when we go to Blackpool.

remember a time where everything was fried and everything stunk of chip fat .. yeah this place still hasnt woke up horrible place and i threw my food straight in the bin as the eastern european bloke put his hand on which he wore rings in the bin then used the same un washed hands to handle my food

Went there for a late dinner, the chips were to my taste but might not be for others. My fish cake was hard and really crunchy. Looked on their menu, there was something called 'Cheese and Tamato' toastie. Overall I enjoyed it.

Good but average fish & chip, good sized portion, clean and tidy. Great service and pleasant dining area. Just nothing special.

Called in here as it was opposite the coach station. Not somewhere i would normally go, looks run down. Ordered chips and a fish sandwich. The chips werent greatest but still tasty and the fish was fresh, battered perfect but not too greasy. Was very suprised :)

Called in here late at night after we had been out drinking,we only wanted a snack so we both got a chip butty,they were £2.50 each but they did the trick they tasted ok and the chips were red hot.If you want a reasonably priced bite to eat then it was ok.

Ate here the other day, smelt like someone dropped faeces on the floor right there and then, food tasted like they took the extra time to have another turd in the fryer and there isn't actually no one that works there called Micky Finn which was the only actual reason I went to eat there. If you like fish that taste like your mums cabbage, fire away.

Grabbed a late night fish and chip takeaway. On getting to my hotel discovered the fish was stale and unseasoned and the chips soft and soggy! Urrrrggghhhh

Just ordered battered sausage and cheesy chips. The chips were shoved in the microwave to melt the cheese, which turns fried foods foul. The sausage was taken out of the cabinet where it had been kept warm and placed in batter. Couldn't be bothered to make a fresh battered sausage.. It was awful, couldn't eat it, completely burnt inside. Just to reiterate, disgusting. Don't go here.

Stepped inside for a late, sit-down lunch as I was attracted by their displayed lunch deal of "small fish and chips, bread and butter and coffee" which seemed pretty good value-for-money. The place was without comfort with bare tables, hard seats and basic-to-nil service. There was the stench of heavy, greasy cooking. Not surprising really, as it was a fish and chip shop..................... but this really was too strong. The customer has to pay for the food at the point of ordering at the counter, before the food can be seen or sampled.....AND NO WONDER !!!!! The bread and butter was unceremoniously 'dumped' on the table, being a very thin slice of white bread, with what can only be described as 'a scraping of margarine' which did not actually cover all the slice !!! When the fish and chips arrived, the only good thing that could be said about it, was that it was a good sized piece of fish. I'm not really sure what type of fish it was, but it definitely wasn't cod !! It was overcooked and oozed a greasy, brown oil, which stained the plate and overpowered the tomato ketchup. The coffee was tasteless, but hot !! I asked for some sugar and again three sachets were unceremoniously 'dumped' on the table.Really, this is a place to AVOID until it is cleaned up in absolutely all areas.........the service, the cleanliness, the quality of food, the comfort of customers and the general ambience.Although the prices seemed relatively cheap, I suppose this was a direct reflection of the quality of everything on offer !!This clearly was a case of , "You get exactly what you pay for ". !!!!!!

we were a bit dubious when we saw their special offer for large fish chips and mushy peas for £3.60!!!the portion was extra large and very tasty what a bargainwe returned later in the week and had a variety of steak pie and steak and kidney pudding served with chips and gravy again was well worth the price. Not posh nosh but ideal if your on a low budget

On a wet miserable December afternoon, we were looking for fish and chips in comfort. Well, it wasn't the Ritz, the surroundings were clean and the food was delicious. We ordered two small fish teas and when they came, they were freshly cooked and tasty.If you want good value for money and good food freshly cooked, but aren't fussy about the smartness of the surroundings, this is the place to go.

Fresh fish & chips well cooked and served with a good cup of tea.The children were very happy with the fish fingers and fizzy drinks.The seating is tight and the décor is rough, but it was a welcome break from the rain.You order & pay at the till and you collect your own cutlery, napkins & condiments there too.The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful.The food was hot, well prepared, prompt and tasty. I would have no qualms about eating here again.
