Mickys Fish and Chips in Watford

Not good food i was harrassed by an old man, the owner as he started stripping in front of me and started lap dancing on me.

Wouldn’t get food from here food is always cold or they are missing something from my order, and there is a lady with an attitude always so rude no customer service experience what so ever

I paid by card they said payment had gone through yet when they came to my house to deliver they was asking to be paid I kept saying i already paid by card they kept saying no eventually they rang the shop to find out I had already paid. They should tell the delivery driver before he leaves . Then when I got my Order I asked for quarter pounder with cheese I got no cheese and they charge more for cheese I asked for pineapple fritters which should of been 3 but only got 2 . And I had an old menu which said it came to £16.60 asked for a new menu they said they haven’t had any since COVID will get one next year so it came to £23.00 I know things go up but by £6.40 extortion . they also ask you to hold got cut off and they ask can you ring back again in ten minutes to make the payment I think they wait for the English lady to take payment all very bizzare apart from all that the food was ok and fresh just disappointed in the service and forgotten items.

I've eaten at Micky's quite a few times after they changed hands. On the plus side they have good opening hours and portion sizes and prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, their fish is not very fresh (or it's previously frozen). The oil they fry everything in is very old and tastes stale (and bordering on a slightly rancid off flavour which goes into the food). The chips are clearly properly from potatoes and are soft, but they're greasy, underfried and have no sign of being crunchy. It's disappointing. I would love to like this place as it's local and has good opening hours and is convenient, but it's not worth going to - I'll go elsewhere in future.

Thought we would have a bit of fish to celebrate my birthday, but this turned out to spoil it instead. The fish was nice, but my wife's chicken and mushroom pie was off. I was asked to take a bite and it was disgusting, i had to spit it out, it tasted like mould. The staff couldn't have checked the date of the pie, either that or they don't even bother checking them. To have consumed the pie completely would have caused serious food poisoning. I called them up to complain and they "couldn't seem to hear me" even though they offered to send another pie in its place. when the delivery driver appeared he asked if the pie was damaged, so i explained to him about it being off and he just walked away. The savaloy was also uncooked and was frozen solid when unwrapped. We will not be going back to this place and would advise people to stay well away if they want to enjoy a decent meal and avoid food poisoning

used Micky's a few times recently , a big improvement from the old Oceans fish bar , hot tasty food and good service , and they deliver
