Miller & Carter in Three Rivers

We’ve come multiple times and the food has always been mediocre however every time we have come the manager has been nothing but rude ruining the experience and putting us off food. Even just stepping through the door we have been given vile looks making us feel unwelcome for spending money in this establishment.

The steak was delicious the service was very good and the beautiful old mill adds to the classy atmosphere

I brought my girlfriend here on 8th January for her birthday. I booked the table and mentioned the birthday in the special requests. We had amazing service from Shannon and Becks, the food was delicious. At the end of the night, a little sweet treat was brought to the table, along with 'Happy Birthday' written on the plate. It was really cute and lovely. Thank you so much!

Excellent service, portion sizes were wholesome - no fancy food with small amounts, they serve to feed! I thought the mains was fabulous till the dessert came along, got even better!

Love M&C, especially for special occasions. We celebrated our anniversary here tonight and the service couldn’t have been better—Eddie was amazing, friendly, and funny. He made an already great evening even better with his wit and attentiveness. Highly recommend!!

Just overall a terrible experience, could not wait to get out, overpriced for what you get, the onion loaf was not fit to eat, overall food was cold, plates just shoved on table , place was not even that clean . Management need to have a get together and see where they are going wrong and what they can do to improve , restaurant is situated in a beautiful setting, that's about the highlight of this place.

I live locally and miller and Carter in Ricky is located at a beautiful spot. The steaks are brilliant but the service we received this time was appalling. The experience was far from perfect. It’s a festive time and I brought my family to have a great experience there but from the start the table we got was not good it was in the middle of everyone walking when I specifically mentioned we will come with a baby. Additionally staff was moody, I wasn’t made aware in advance that they don’t serve festive menu after 5pm on a Saturday on 21st Dec which is weird but anyways it’s best to make customer aware in advance. I guess customer is not king anymore but least we can expect is to have an enjoyable experience. I love the steaks at Miller and Carter but after the customer service we received from the staff I would think twice before booking again.

The 8oz 50day ribeye at their prices should be “excellent” but was very sinewy! and was therefore 20/30% inedible! The Christmas menu “turkey” was very dry and again somewhat unenjoyable. Dipped on the “half a lettuce” as way too much leaf!! Recurring old query, why are all deserts “V”, you're a steak restaurant !!!! Service was excellent, just the food which is in fact why we came….rated poor; Come on guys, you rate your steaks highly in your blurb!! Make sure when they hit the plate, they comply with your hype!!Nice food, good friendly service.

If I could give a zero star I would. I turnt up here tonight, in my defense I had booked the wrong date for a meal however the manager on shift was so rude. I was disgusted with the way he was talking to me. he made me feel very uncomfortable especially in front of little kids. He said “get your booking up on your email now and then said you need to go” he also said “we have a capacity of 300 people in tonight when there was 190 expected on the booking system. He moved on swiftly as there was people behind up, however he didn’t apologize, whereas he could of just said “sorry we don’t have any availability tonight” and then started giving menus to the people behind us. He didn’t have any respect for us. Very disappointed as I have eaten here many times and everyone else have been so lovely and pleasant.

Parked camper in car park as we usually do for OH birthday, yes, over £110 spent but worth it for the free overnight camper parking. Food is excellent as is the service

😱 We were taking friends out for dinner to thank them for their support. We had all been looking forward to it very much. It was lucky we were already in the mood to enjoy our evening because the experience can hardly be believed. The steaks were good, and I’m not going to comment on the food because it was our waiter who could have really ruined our night. He had a completely inappropriate sense of humour and had no sense of tact or decorum. He thought it would be amusing to us if he was rude to us, we played along with him out of shock and politeness. But it absolutely went too far when he brought his manager over to the table to introduce him to our guest as a potential partner. Our friend is a married older man, whose wife was with us, and the manager didn’t know what he was being asked over for! It was completely inappropriate and humiliating; I left feeling embarrassed. I didn’t leave a review at first because the restaurant had been so quiet, and we would have been easily identified. I couldn’t possibly go back to your restaurant if this is the kind of service you think is acceptable. My husband has used your restaurant for business dinners in the past but this experience won’t be forgotten.

Dreadful service and overpriced. Went for a meal with extended family. Service was very slow and rude. Plates were dumped on the table, kids chips spilt all over the table without an apology. When asked for more water the waitress said 'you already had some'. Overpriced for the quality of food. Save your money and have a far better experience at Prime nearby.

Great dining experience and will visit again.Myself and friends, thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Had the three course option. Food was tasteful, ambience great and what a gem you have in Beck our server on the day. Helped to enhance our luncheon. He was friendly, attentative and nothing was too much trouble. The cream on the puddings was not whipped very well and did not taste right, maybe off! Steaks and Sea Bass were perfect though.

We had a work managers gathering here Becks & Fabio served us a fabulous meal and drinks atmosphere and service were brilliant

The quality of the food I received was very SALT & PEPPER CALAMARI1 with GARLIC BUTTON MUSHROOMS delivered hot and on time but i had to get a refund for my BANOFFEE PIE which was left off my order

Our steak expert today was katrina today, she was so lovely and friendly checking at each point we had everything perfect and kept us up to date on where our food was and how long. There was very little wait for drink mains or dessert. I was very impressed with how much time she took with us despite having an extremely busy section and ensuring our food came out hot even with how busy they are. We didn't feel rushed to get orders in or Finnish food quickly. I would highly recommend coming here especially if katrina is your steak expert.

I wouldn't reccomend the tiramisu', unfortunately it is not even near the original recipe. Good burgers and sides, excellent sercice.

7th Nov. Food was fine. Not happy with sarcastic waiter who, when we asked for two glasses of Shiraz returned with a bottle which he claimed was cheaper and quickly opened and started pouring before we could object. When we got the bill, this turned out to be £31.50, which is considerably dearer than two glasses. We complained, but all we got was a "sorry" muttered under his breath and quickly took our payments. This won't stop us from returning in the future.
