I went for Christmas dinner with my mother on December 23rd, with a booking for 1:00 p.m. The Christmas decorations were beautifully done, and while it was chilly outside, the restaurant was warm and inviting. We arrived five minutes early and were seated right away. Unfortunately, our table was a small two-seater right next to the stairway, which made it hard to create a cozy atmosphere. When the conversation quieted down, we found ourselves just watching the waiters go up and down the stairs— not exactly the festive vibe we were hoping for. We placed our drink orders about 20 minutes after being seated. I had already mentioned that I'm allergic to concentrated orange, so the bartender had to wait for the manager to confirm whether my drink was safe. This happened twice, as both drinks l initially ordered contained traces of orange. Because of the delay, we didn't receive our drinks until 1:52 p.m. At first it seemed like the waiter was avoiding our table, knowing we'd ask about them. After the second mix-up, our waitress finally took our food order-right before the manager arrived (again) to inform me that my second drink choice also contained orange. At that point, I gave up and ordered a ginger beer. Our food arrived at 1:58 p.m., and it was absolutely worth the wait. We ate, we chatted, and it was lovely. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and we couldn't even finish everything. Despite the initial hiccups with the drinks, the overall experience was great. Highly recommended -I'd definitely come back again! they take allergies seriously. Thank you to our waiter - Diana 👍🙌👋.

The service provided to us at Miller and Carter by Maria was amazing, she was there on our every need with a very warm welcoming. Maria was very helpful when it came to choosing our meals to ensure we had the best possible experience. The meals were also outstandingly tasty and made to perfection. We were also greeted by Michelle who was very friendly and cheerful giving us a fabulous way to end the night. Maria even gave us a little surprise at the end to congratulate me and passing my driving test. Thank you all xx

Miller & Carter are reliably good and once again did not disappoint. Diane, our server was efficient and friendly, despite it being very full we were never left waiting.

We love this steakhouse, We visit Miller and Carter very often as we love the food and the service. Every dish is cooked to perfection. I always leave this place satisfied and smiling. Not cheap but absolutely worth the money. 💯 recommended ✌️

Affordable and good quality steak experience. £29 for a three course meal until February is good value. Weekend evenings are more expensive which is fair enough. Quiet when we arrived for lunch but it soon filled up.

Attending this restaurant today. Enjoyed my food, enjoyed my service from Melissa. The restaurant was down a chef and it was busy, but overall the wait time wasn’t too bad. It was nice to have my starter and not instantly get my main, as it gave me a chance to build up my hunger again for the main. Sadly there were some people next to us talking about how they were going to get the bill for free and decided to make the staff feel uncomfortable so they can get their food for free. This wasn’t fun to witness. However, my service was great from Melissa and the other wait staff, enjoyed my food & Mocktails! X

I was served alcohol when I ordered a mocktail! I can’t drink alcohol due to the strong medication I am on, and I was given an alcoholic cocktail when I expressly ordered a non alcoholic drink. As soon as it was found it wasn’t an allergy, team was extremely dismissive of the issue, when I have no idea the reaction I could have to alcohol. I am extremely disappointed and horrified that this error has been made, and could have had serious consequences, not just for myself. This has absolutely ruined a nice meal, and I spent the rest of my evening feeling rather unwell. This wasn’t very well dealt with- I was offered water, and the drink taken off the bill, but there was no concern for my health, or how this may have affected me.

Bad experience here, 70th birthday celebration ruined due to 3 course meal taking 4 hours (20 mins to be seated, 45 mins for drinks and 1.5 hours before starters arrived). Staff were totally overran and although very polite and helpful everything took an age. Complaint made to customer services, but no reply received.

Food and service is always great! Staff are always perfect friendly & it’s always clean. 1 thing is advise is some staff should be trained not to talk over people’s food. Best to put the food down, then speak. It’s a bit uncomfortable watching body fluids fly lol

Came here Saturday night looked extremely busy and the lady bless her at the door told us that our table wasn’t ready but offered us to wait at the bar where we can get some drink which was lovely. We usually visit as a celebration for our son’s birthday on NYE. This is our 3rd visit in the last 4 years. The location and staff have always been faultless, making it a really lovely experience for our family.

We often come to this miller and Carter because the food is always amazing, and the service is always amazing, especially by Sophie. She serves us majority of the time and always has a smile on her face.

We dined here this week. We visit every couple of months. We were served by Kate. Staff here are always really friendly, knowledgeable about steak and attentive, but Kate went out of her way to be really helpful with my dish. Our food is always great. We love the ambiance. On this occasion we both chose the ribeye steak medium. We recommend Mark West Red wine, the ribeye, fillet mignon, beef dripping sauce and sirloin steak choices. Brookmans Park is our favourite Miller and Carter restaurant.

We arrived 5 minutes before our booking time. The hostess asked us to wait which was fine. We were seated approx 10 mins later and advised our waitress would be over in a moment. Over half an hour later, still no waitress. I waved at a member of staff who apologised and said she would serve us herself once she had finished bringing out another Tables order. 20 minutes passed and I got up to find someone senior which was pointless as when I explained it was the second time we had asked to be served and almost an hour in to our booking time. She said she would be with me in a moment and never saw her again!! Our actual waitress eventually arrived when the other waitress was taking our order. No apology from original waitress , too busy telling every1 she was off for 3 days after tonight! The waitress we had was very apologetic and served us for the remainder of our time there. Our food was lovely as it always is at Miller & Carter but for the price we paid and the poor level of service we experienced until ws spoke up twice, we will not be returning there again!
