Exceptional Dining Experience at Miller & Carter We recently had the pleasure of dining at Miller & Carter, and from start to finish, it was nothing short of exceptional. The food was absolutely divine—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight, and it was clear that great care and expertise had gone into preparing each dish. What truly made our evening unforgettable, however, was the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Georgia. She was simply out of this world—attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Georgia went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect, making us feel truly valued as guests. Her warm and professional approach elevated our evening, making it one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for top-quality food and impeccable service, Miller & Carter is the place to go. We’ll definitely be returning, and we hope to be served by Georgia again!

I stopped by after the gym on my own and had a T-bone steak, which was excellent! Michael was extremely professional, and I even mentioned to him that it had been a long time since I experienced such outstanding service. After finishing my meal, I was ready to leave, but Michael kindly offered me the dessert menu to browse. I ended up ordering a tiramisu, which was so delicious that I got another one to take home for my wife—and she absolutely loved it. Thank you for the fantastic food, exceptional service, and amazing dessert!

Omg, I came for lunch and they didn’t charge for service. Everything is great. Recommend not to go for the default type of steak. Go for rib eye or sirloin is much better.

Fantastic service from Michael!

First time at Miller and Carter with my partner, we hadn’t made a booking on a busy Saturday night but they still accommodated us. Sat upstairs, nice atmosphere and Michael was really lovely for the whole meal. Making good suggestions on foods and sauces, making sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly and kind. I would give Michael a raise if he was working for me, if that helps you understand how wonderful his service was.

Excellent experience for my dad’s birthday. Service from Michael was exceptional.

We have been a couple of times before and enjoyed. The menu has changed. Having a wedge of iceberg salad as if it's something special, doesn't do anything for me. The starters are not as good on the new menu, so we skipped them. The steak was perfect, however the chips tasted like cardboard. The dessert of sticky toffee pudding was lucky it came with ice cream. It was a dried toffee flavour sponge made egible by the ice cream. £70 for two people with 2 courses for lunch, mid week. If it wasn't for the nice steak and good service, the store would have been much lower. Sadly we wont be returning.

Absolutely fantastic. From the service and friendliness of the staff to the food quality and portion sizes. We didn’t hold back, we had alcohol and pudding and the bill was so reasonable. It’s becoming quite a family tradition to spend family birthdays there because everyone enjoys the food and we can have a good drink without feeling rushed. It’s super relaxed and the staff are wonderful. I hope the vibes and food quality continue. Also try the beef dripping sauce, it’s amazing!

Fantastic food and service, especially from our waiter Michael who was super friendly and cracking great jokes with our family! We came on the set menu, which is always unbelievable value for money and the food was as great as always.

This wasn’t our first visit to M&C Woodford Green, and once again, it did not disappoint. We were pleased with the table location and loved the ambience. The food was great, we had the butcher’s block, which was perfectly served and more than enough for two hungry adults. Taff’s service was friendly and attentive throughout. I’m so glad we chose this spot to celebrate my husband’s special day. Thank you M&C Woodford Green for the generous complimentary dessert for the birthday boy. It truly made his day! Highly recommend!

Lovely lunch and service from Goncalo 💫

I had a range of starters including the prawns, bone marrow, sautéed greens, mac and cheese and chips. For desert I had the crème brûlée. The food was amazing! With service to match! Goncalo welcomed us in with a smile and gave us amazing advice and recommendations about the food and was very prompt and attentive. Truly a 5star experience. Hats off to our server Goncalo.

The steaks we ate were excellent and very fairly priced. The place was elegant and had ample seating. Big thanks to Goncalo for the great service, making our lunch even more enjoyable (and thanks for the scarf!). Room for improvement: the fries could have been slightly more crispy.

Very nice experience. It was our first time and very welcoming and warm. Brilliant service, beautiful food, sumptuous service. We highly recommend it. Server Goncalo was great and immensely polite. Fantastic in every aspect.

It's always a great meal. Love the wedge with blue cheese sauce. Fillet steak medium vs medium-well can be a little unpredictable. Sometimes medium is too rare (with thick fillets) in the middle, but medium-well can often arrive with no pink in the middle. My medium fillet was perfect, but my wife's medium-well was well done (no pink band). They kindly recooked her meal but this did take a long time, so I had finished my meal before it arrived. And when it did, we needed to send it back again, to be cooked for a couple more minutes under the grill as it was too rare. Eventually it was perfect. So if you were going off my own meal experience, I'd say it was perfection, but my wife would say otherwise. I dare say we will return, because, when it's right, it's the perfect meal, and the staff are always great, and always happy to help get you the perfect meal

My mother and I were served by Goncalo. We always look forward to seeing him. He's attentive, remembers our past order, knows the menu inside and out. Is always happy to give a recommendation and nothing seems to be too much. He's the very best and Miller & Carter are fortunate to have him! Thank you Goncalo, see you soon.

The food was ok. Shame the festive menu finishes at 5pm would have been good to know this in advance. however the service received from Noelia was exceptional. She was really kind and caring with my 80 year old mother who has Alzheimer’s. I hope she gets a Christmas bonus for this review. She is a star Happy Christmas
