Ming Moon Restaurant in Wolverhampton

I am happy with sea food /vegetarian food and was dining in. One of the female staff going back a month a go checked with the cook and told me some of the chicken dishes was halal. Decided to dine in second time and this time was told by a different staff there is no halal food here. I explained I was happy to just have the vegetarian/sea food any way so why was I told they do halal chicken when they don't! This has really annoyed me.

Incredible Christmas eve meal! Our first visit, and the first of many. WOW service from the first second. Drinks ordered as we entered, we were then greeted by John who had our drinks on a tray waiting to escort us to our table. Incredibly friendly staff, rohit made sure we were well looked after throughout and made sure we were happy. Food was 10/10 with an incredible fresh selection Beautiful open restaurant, incredible decor and ambient Christmas music Both a quiet meal, but also full of energy Everything you want in a meal, especially before the stress of Christmas I have no complaints, everything about tonight was perfect! A big credit to John and his amazing team 💕

It has its ups and downs some times it's good the next it's not so great. Then it's slow st bringing the food out. But I suppose that it's reputation isn't the greatest too. But I'd come here If it was cheaper and wouldn't pay that much for a family meal birthday meal or anything as its not my go too buffet. And too over priced for what there standard is. But that could be why it's always empty

This was our first visit and will be our last. I can’t remember ever having worse food or service. The staff are miserable, no greeting, they just ask for your payment as soon as you get through the door. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive and were literally plonked on the table. Food was awful, everything tasted the same and by 8 o’clock much of the food had run out anyway. At 9-25 we were rudely told to leave as they were closing. Dreadful experience.

Had a Christmas party here for our family and it was brilliant.

We visited late TBH but if you serve food till late the quality should be the same at any time of the day. The choice is ok, but most of it didn't taste nice. The deserts were lacking too unless you like a jelly on the palate. 4 of us walked out disappointed as it used to be good, now, definitely not worth the money.

First time visiting as Ming Moon Customer food was beautiful plenty of choice food was hot didn’t try the Indian or Teppanyaki but the Chinese section was brilliant will definitely return again and highly recommend

Very quiet as I arrived at 4pm as they were opening. The score for food would have been much higher had I not had raw chicken when choosing the lemon chicken from the buffet. The rest of the food was fantastic though

Not too bad at all!! the tables are more spaced out than i remember. The food was very nice and very prompt table serve. For a table of 8 people at short notice i was very .. John and Edu were both very polite friendly and helpfull.

Luke warm food at best. Everything was so dry. Told the waiter but he wasn’t bothered at all. Then went to front desk nor where they bothered. Told me that we had been there too long to complain even tho we just sat at the table drinking the drinks we had played for not eating any food. Drinks were the best bit … a Diet Coke.

Fantastic experience 👏 👌 😊 Delicious food and really friendly and welcoming staff. Amelia and Lilly are a real asset to the environment. They were accommodating and engaged with my daughter, which made her very happy. Usually when you go to buffet places you don't get that kind of experience. We will definitely be going again. Visited 10/11 at 1pm Very quiet which is how we like it. Mostly lovely food..However what we had was barely warm. Yes gas etc expensive. MM you must do better as nothing wrong with folks money and we deserve to eat HOT food!

Amelia was very interactive, and smiled at me a lot, she was kind, she made sure we were okay and was checking up on us.

The food was spectacular and made me wish I had a larger stomach, the mandu in particular was great. The wait staff were so polite and helpful, Amelia in particular was very friendly and frequently collecting our finished plates ensuring there was no pile up. I highly recommend Ming Moon to anyone looking for a great night out with friends or family. :)

Fuimos a ming moons esta noche para una cena de cumpleaños. Pero nos quedamos decepcionados con la comida. Creo que porque estuvimos allí temprano alrededor de las 5. 30 , la comida era probablemente de la noche anterior. Hacía frío y no era genial... solíamos ir aquí cuando era el ala lo que era mucho mejor. Había más opciones y mejor calidad. Dint piensa que voy a volver con prisa.

Good food, just not much variety. Many variations of the same dish. Service was great though and our waitress Amelia was very attentive and quick.

Lovely place although busy on a Saturday. Not the first time we have been and won't be the last. Amelia was clearing tables and was very friendly and helpful as were all the staff we spoke to. great variety of food and drink. Especially enjoyed the Eton mess.

Went here last night for the first time. Staff were all absolutely lovely and the place was spotlessly clean. Unfortunately that’s where it ended. The food wasn’t particularly nice although was served exceptionally hot and fresh, it was also quite expensive at nearly £50 for two people. Buffet island on the tyburn road in Bham is much better with nicer food and much less expensive. I wouldn’t say this was the worst meal I’ve ever had but it definitely wasn’t the best Chinese food. I’d not visit again it just wasn’t for me.

Never again. We have been going here for many years. The day after i fell really ill and had to have two days off work. I rang ming moon and emailed them and they were not interested at all. We will never go here again. Not recommended at all. Awful place

Initially no problem with service. Once we told staff food was cold and inadequate and that there were a large group being very load and using bad offensive language. Staff were not interested as the money had changed hands. Not a good experience £90 for a family of 2 adults and 2 small children and we left after 20mins. Avoid at all costs

Every person that was working there was really kind and they were all helpful. I absolutely 💯 LOVED the food! The crepes and waffles were so puffy and we could choose our own toppings they all smiled and I think this is a really good restaurant.

Group of 8 went this evening Good selection of food enjoyed by all Your guy Gurdos is lovely and very sociable give him a raise 👍 Only thing negative I will say is that the carpet is I desperate need of replacement and a couple of our chairs were worn and torn it's looking quite tired in places now

Amazing time and lovely food. Our host and waiter jerome made the night, polite, hardworking and always there when we needed him to be. Got us seated immediately and made sure our experience was amazing!!

The place is good and clean. Could do with few improvements but hey you eat as much as you can and food is good.

Only reason it didnt get the full 5 is because we went a bit later than usual, toward the end of the night. Still amazing food. Amazing people. Everyone asked how we were and smiled at out children being little monkeys.

There was only 1 vegetarian/vegan dish & that’s was a mushroom stir fry in the Chinese section, there was only meat dishes in the Indian section so i I couldn’t have anything from there & I’d paid £21 for the meal, absolutely disgusting

We went out tonight in a large party for a family birthday and are all disappointed with the food quality and awkwardness of wait staff. It felt like we were being harassed by wait staff every 5 minutes for our plates despite the face the restaurant is empty! You can overhear private staff conversations as the wait staff linger like lost souls chatting away near your table. We weren’t asked to pay up front as usual and then we were rudely interrupted by a waitress asking us to cover the bill halfway through mastication…. It felt like we were profiled and had prejudice cast upon us. Attached a photo of the chocolate fountain as I believe it perfectly captures the atmosphere… drained and guttural. First time we have visited in half a decade, if the staff would like our next visit to be in double this, they have succeeded. However, refill drinks were acceptable.

The food was very delicious and very hot Rakesh was very happy very polite 10/10 for service.

I’ve been here a few times now, there is a lot of variety of Chinese foods and even Indian curries also pizza, chips and chicken nuggets etc for the kids is a great touch. Surprised at the quality of the food and the service is second to none. Brilliant place to eat for all ages!
