Stunning! Went out as a family (2 adults 2 children) staff were super friendly, great service, delicious food and also accessible for a wheelchair user which was fantastic. So glad this place is on our doorstep

5 of us went out. My sons whole meal and sides were incorrect. Therefore delay as the rest of us had eaten. Not much of an apology from the staff.

Chicken Tika Dansak was exceptional. Service was friendly and professional. Not the first time of visiting and it will not be the last.

Another sad takeaway. For £26 (Free delivery) we received an incredibly sad, undercooked, soggy chips. Chicken madras with as much flavour as a wooden spoon. And a personal unfavourite of course would be the lamb rogan. What a waste of money. Morrisons £8 takeaway box now seems like a dream.

Went with family on early January and the food was lovely, good selection of both spicy and mild food so anyone can go. The service was great as well all the staff was lovely and attentive

I ordered a take away that came to £40 and I was so so disappointed Salmon very small for 14.95 but tasted ok. Was Cold. Chicken tikka. Four small chunks not much bigger than a sprout and cold for £7 No Peshwari although ordered. No explanation. Small portion Saag aloo. Cold and lots of oil surplus. The rice was ok. But had yo be microwaved as well. Really stupid of me to order from here when Tiffin so nice. That will teach me. Avoid - if others got the same food as me, either the review is fake or they have no palate

Really lovely spot for an Indian. First time and would come back. Lovely to dine in and has lovely service. Menus are well presented.

We were staying at a campsite a mile or two away and decided to try a takeaway from here. Person I spoke to on the phone was very polite and helpful. Food was delicious and delivery was quick (we don't mind waiting for good food but it arrived quickly) Would definitely recommend. Thank you

Wow my partner ordered me a vegetarian curry tonight bby mistake abd usually I have a paneer tikka masala.. I must say that I order regular but tonight's vegetarian curry I physically was sick... By far the worst curry I've ever had sorry to say but that was vile

Incredible meal! Would totally recommend! Me and dad had been saving for months intending on going to the mint and mustard in penarth. We had a takeaway earlier in the week (which was incredible) and so went today for a sit in meal, and it was even better! Amazing staff too! Honestly cannot fault it!

A great dining experience. The waiter was friendly and the right amount of attentive. The food was delicious, hot and spaced out well. They have a very varied alcohol menu and I really appreciated the non alcoholic selection and a pretty non alcoholic gin and watermelon cocktail with umbrella. 🤩

Great service 👏 we had a receipt for the wrong address so we assumed it wasn't ours when we opened it .So they cooked up a fresh new order in rapid time and delivered it .When the man arrived he checked the original order and it was our food just tge wrong receipt with it .Realising our mistake and embarrassed we went to give the original order back to him he said no you can have that on us .We'll done mint room 👌 great service 👍

Excellent food and really helpful. We eat regularly at the Mint room and it is always outstanding.

Ate here recently. The food was lovely and the service was great. We had a really friendly and welcoming waiter. I was very impressed with how tentative and hospitable he was. What I did find a bit annoying was how loud their phone rings. I get that they take orders over the phone, but the ringer was so loud, I found it a bit intrusive. Other than that, a lovely restaurant and great food.

I’ve been to quite a few Indian restaurants in Barry but all of them were quite mediocre. I’ve been hearing good reviews about Mint room and yesterday I had the chance to dine in at the place. Marvellous I would say. The meat was tender, spice was unique and presentation was excellent. Their “Lal Mas” is a must try. Keep up the good work guys.

I had biryani and chicken tandoori biryani was lovely but than I had tandoori chicken it was very hard like a wood than i told to staff he said I’ll make for you other one he gave me but I Didn’t eat Bcz after 5 mint I had pain in my stomach and I told to staff they said we don’t know. I’m sure that chicken is old or something wrong. But I have a pain in my stomach.

Atmosphere was awesome until music was turned down, and then it felt like I was in Wetherspoons.

Fabulous food, a really tasty and filling meal. The service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommended. The honey korma went down well with my daughter and the prawn poori starter was delicious.

Been coming here for years, recently been taken under new management and it's got even better. The honey korma is my new favourite, and the quality of the meat is better. I will miss being able to bring your own drinks but can't complain as the drinks prices are reasonable. Staff are always lovely and quick service.

Food is always excellent and full of flavour. Even the kids love the tikka, it's not spicy, it's rather sweet tasting. It's the perfect take away for the kids and us. Would definitely recommend. Service is always polite and friendly and really welcoming. Delivery is always quick and food is always nice and hot.

Really sorry - we’ve always enjoyed dining here - but were so disappointed tonight, we ordered the dishes we usually order but it seemed that there was an addition of cream to all the sauces and it just spoiled it. Appreciate you have changed the menu and now have a bar but you really didn’t need to change the food it was always good. Spent best part of £100 on a meal for two but I’m afraid we won’t be coming back in a hurry, didn’t enjoy like we have before.

Just the best Indian food and service in Barry. The team work so hard to make your eating experience so special. It always a pleasure to eat at Mint Room.

we had a fantastic meal from the mint rooms tonight for my dad's birthday. we ordered food for 7 people and collected within 20 mins. extremely friendly service when I arrived. the food was delicious and hot, couldn't fault one thing. thank you very much

I have visited the mint rooms a few times and it’s always been enjoyable. Not this time ! My first issue was the newly added bar as was somewhere we would go as u could take ur own drinks which would make it a cheap meal out , and the bar wasn’t cheap ! Secondly we waited well over an hour for our food to come and it felt like the waiters didn’t really know what they was doing , definitely needed a charger as they was on go slow ! Didn’t offer us any poppadoms Either :( ! Although the food itself was extremely tasty and big portions I don’t think I’ll go back unfortunately!

Be very very careful about booking online. We reserved a table for 5 people, received a confirmation email to say the table had been accepted and drove 30 minutes to the restaurant for them to refuse us. They said they declined the reservation on their end, but I received a confirmation email. Incredibly poor show. This was for a 7pm booking.

We used to visit this restaurant a lot before it changed hands and a Bar being put in place. The food was of the same high standard and I can't fault the service but the bar is a draw back. I think many previous regular customers will think twice as will we, we used to enjoy a bottle of wine with our meal that we took ourselves but now the price of the wine on offer is not for the regular person and I think that is or will be a drawback in the future, you even have to pay for a bottle of water. Food was amazing and hot and presented well, just a let down to have to pay for a drink after being used to taking your own.

Me and my mates visit this restaurant for the first time and we where amazed by the customer service we received , especially the manager there he was amazing came and checked if everything was to our liking and even asked for our feed back which was good to see Loved the fact that they had a Madri tap which you don’t see often in India restaurants Overall 10/10 for the service and food Will be going back again for sure

Brilliant restaurant and brilliant atmosphere. Staff very friendly and quick to make you feel comfortable. Can’t fault the food, quick and tasty. And lots of new varieties of alcohol in the new bar. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

I am not a lover of Asian foods but our meal here at the Mint Room could not have been better. Everyone enjoyed the food the service was friendly and efficient. Our table was ready for our arrival.

Good Quality Food We booked for a party for 6, the food was beautiful, good quality and everything tasted amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant, had a fussy eater in the group who enjoyed all of it. Was pleasantly surprised when we received the bill. Looking forward to the new menu, definitely be returning.

Have had dozens of really good meals here, but the latest visit was not good. The curry's were really bland and just spicy - out of 10 of us 4 people left more than half their food. I think there is a new chef as the dishes just don't taste as they used to - no depth of flavour at all. Poppadom's/chips/rice/Nan Breads were all ok, the curry's themselves were the problem. Won't be returning until I can see some better reviews.

What an absolute breath of fresh air! A thick creamy curry sauce with plentiful paneer! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely beautiful from start to finish! There are lots of vegetarian choices! I didn't get the young ladies name who was serving us, but she made my evening!
