Best coffee (like... proper coffee) in the area. It's that simple. Stay for the donuts (stay for two). In a town with too many coffee shops, this one was the one it needed.

The precise attention given to each cup of coffee means you are guaranteed a perfect coffee every time. Cakes are great (better than great) and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Bike racing on the screen for the cyclists (volume off). Perfect!

I visited with my partner and had a flat white and the last slice of a delicious banana and chocolate bread which I think was vegan and gluten free. There's a San Francisco feel to the space (not that I've been to San Francisco but I do have relatives there!) The owners' small dog was roaming around the cafe & shop area. If you're a dog lover his presence brings a calmness to the space; which is fine by me. I spotted a dog bed in a corner - though I don't know if he's there all the time and if customers' dogs are allowed in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I will return soon. P.S. I'm lucky to be able to do so because I live just a little way down the Calder Valley

I ordered a Cortado. Good atmosphere and the Barista did a proper extraction (it certainly hit the caffeine spot!). Quality coffee beans (very fresh) and a proper Italian La Marzocco coffee machine. Good aesthetics. We'd go back.

The church is insular, displaying a strong inclination towards judging those who are not part of their community. The pastors' family holds themselves in high regard, believing their superiority grants them the authority to pass judgment on vulnerable individuals. They employ tactics of pressuring newcomers to pray publicly, using guilt as a means to enforce their expectations. I advise against attending this church as a newcomer, as it primarily consists of judgmental individuals who employ inappropriate pressure tactics, such as soliciting more money and demanding public prayers. It is important to acknowledge that not everyone feels comfortable praying in such a public manner, as some prefer to engage in private prayer.

Bobs tearoom is always marvellous. Very beautiful walk to get there no matter where you come from and the drinks and cakes are always well worth the walk. A local hidden gem.

I had the full English breakfast at Thyme today. To say it was delicious is an understatement. Every part of the meal was top quality, and it was cooked to perfection. I didn’t catch the owner’s name, but she is obviously much more than a line cook, she’s a chef, and very good one. I’ll be back, often! Highly recommended!

Booked for a joint birthday. Eight of us from age 6 to 74. All enjoyed really well cooked dishes and sides and appreciated the attentive service. Lucky we went straight to the mains as the portions were large.

Without question the food here is good. The tastiest sandwiches and cakes. However, the reception can vary depending on who is working. On our last visit the dark haired lady serving couldn’t even be bothered to say Hello and was actually a little rude. Felt rather unwelcome and uncomfortable whilst spending £20 on 3 sandwiches. We think we’ll spend our money elsewhere going forwards.
