Ahora aquí es donde comienza la diversión y puedo perder a algunos de ustedes aquí, ya que todos ustedes pueden ser fanáticos de leer las paredes detrás del mostrador, pero yo no. Claramente, hay especiales para la hora del almuerzo y estos, como ahora sé, después de haberme dicho esto de manera bastante grosera, están en algún lugar de la pared posterior. En realidad, no sé por qué el asistente se estaba molestando conmigo por esto, ya que había pedido algo que estaba en el almuerzo especial, pero simplemente le repetí mi pedido y me cobró la misma cantidad pero sin explicarme los especiales y que yo sepa lo que son Encontré esto grosero y muy inútil. Si el asistente aquí no puede tener algún tipo de servicio al cliente, entonces no debería trabajar en la industria de servicios. Ah, y la comida tampoco era buena: chips poco cocidos cocinados en algo que no sabe bien y una salchicha que fue parte del aterrizaje del Día D. Vaya a esta comida para llevar de comida mediana y pruebe el servicio al cliente y las delicias gastronómicas, pero tenga cuidado.

Just been for a trip to the fish shop... when I first went in nobody at counter.... out the back watching something on the tv... I presume emmerdale or some crap, finally got there attention after a few shouts and I can say they were not happy to serve me, got my order in at last.. took 15 mins for a simple fish and chips I left I a fit of fury and anger, would not reccomend, absolute shambles, food was awful anarl wouidnt even feed it to my dug, 0.5/10

Bueno, el pescado estaba preparado a pedido, pero este era un pequeño precio a pagar por una comida sabrosa, bien de precio. El pescado estaba seriamente grande, bonito y con pasta crujiente. Las patatas fritas eran muy agradable también. También vino con gratis salsa tartar y horquillas bonitas y una caja. También me pedí un helado de 7 hasta 0 libras. 60 pence. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran 5 libras. 95, que dado el tamaño de la porción es un precio bastante bueno en mi opinión. El personal era muy amable!

No escriba una reseña a menos que realmente sea buena o realmente mala adivine de qué se trata. El personal de los teléfonos que se encuentran en sitios como Betfred o sitios similares que no muestran comida aparte de una tarta, han visto a muchas personas simplemente caminar a pie debido a las porciones que intentaron vender. Cuando un anciano pidió un pastel, el tipo dijo que te hago 1 en el microondas, esto fue a las 7 p.m. esperaba que los nuevos dueños fueran mejores que el último, pero la tienda está maldita, así que evita ir a conchas marinas o incluso si quieres una comida abundante.

Sábado por la noche a las 7 pm, no pescado o patatas fritas. Pregunté si lo estaban cerrando. Se levantó para 25 minutos de espera? Muy extraño

Tiny portions of food with ridiculous prices. Staff weren't particularly friendly either. Food was clearly the remainders, wasn't fresh.

Canny lads but fish small and poor quality. Oil used for frying not nice taste or smell. Nothing ready, slow service. Sorry but won't be back.

Best fish & chips in the area!

Looking forward to a portion of the famous Whitley Bay fish and chips. Even more excited when the cod was just about to come out of the fryer. Starving hungry, food in box off to the seafront for early evening feast. It was terrible. The batter wasn't crisp and the chips were remnants of earlier fry ups. Worst of all were the mushy peas. Looked like they'd been in a liquidiser. Tasted terrible. Ended up with a bad taste in my mouth and for some reason craving a Crunchie! Haven't eaten one for years but it tasted lovely and got rid of the lingering deep fat taste. Just thought. It's Whitby that's famous for fish and chips isn't it?!

Last and first visit. Portions far too small . Nothing was ready to take away. Everything that was ordered had to be cooked.

At last I have found my fave fish and chip shop food was excellent and the delivery people were very friendly and jolly would highly recommend....

We were just traveling through and needed to feed the kids quick, the service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious. Fish and Chips are a treat for us and it can be disappointing sometimes but we were really pleased with this place, the batter was crispy and the chips were cooked perfectly. Shame we don't come out this way more often...

Amazed at the other reviews about Monkfisheries. My family and I all had a fish supper and it was one if the best I've ever tasted. We were recommended this chippy from friends and although it's not the nearest to home it was well worth the trip. Batter was crispy, not soggy like you so often get and the chips were as good as home made. Found the service friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend, 5*.

Overcooked fish and chips. Cold.... Although pleasant staff. Pity the new signage doesn't reflect the quality of food!!! Bring back Seashells....
