We booked a table for 7pm one Friday. Unfortunately, they were crazy busy so we didn't get to our table while 7.40 but in the meantime, they provided drinks on the house. Food service was quick and the food was excellent

Pasta was beautiful but the garlic bread was like cardboard! Couldn’t even bite it and stone cold went in the bin!

Always order and food is always good We waited 2 hours for food tonight which is not acceptable

14 people for Christmas lunch. We all hated it. Over price, to many in and no Christmas atmosphere

Steak was overcooked and chewey.the chicken was ok but the lamb chewey and covered in cold garlic paste.salat bland not worth the money

Food really good but so late, 2 hours from order to delivery. Called restaurant to ask about delivery and they offered to send a free drink, drink never arrived.

Food was alright. Had to wait 40 minutes for collection even though we were told that the order was ready. Not happy and it was freezing. Would rather have waited at home longer and been told that it’s ready when it was actually ready

Would give zero if possible went for Christmas nite out with work colleagues paid £25 each for the set menu, all the courses were for sharing which was fine however we didn’t really get a full meal, mine filled a side plate. The menu didn’t really make sense, main course were chicken (1 strip each)Bowl of beef casserole(1spoon) vegetable rice 1 pate between us all veg pasta and deserts.Absolutely feel ripped off. The staff weren’t great just barging in to clear the plate without even asking or saying excuse me etc. No need for bad managers. Avoid at all cost

Thursday night magician experience! The kids (and adult kids) love it!!

I regularly visit Monte Cristo for their a la carte menu and love it, but will never return for the tribute night again. There were 12 of us and at £25 each the quality and the amount of food we got was disgraceful. But most importantly we didnt get asked if there were any vegetarians or if anyone had any allergies (they have). The waitress was so miserable and didn't even tell us what the food was before she slammed it down on the table. I would have thought for the money we would have got more than one piece of cheese, one mushroom and one piece of chicken for starter. Everything was lukewarm, salty and tasteless. The wait between "courses" was painful and half the food came out for the table at different times. We couldnt get what we wanted for desert as they had sold out. It was good to catch up with friends but next time we will probably meet at costa. Avoid at all costs.

The pasta dish was tasty and hot. The garlic bread was hard, cold and didn’t travel well sadly.

Delicious food and arrived so quickly for a Saturday. Changed the salad to veg as requested. Menu didnt specify the cream cheese sauce was tomato based which im not hugely keen on hence 4 stars but it was actually really nice. Thanks!

I went for a king prawn starter & a risotto vegetarian main. They were both equally delicious. Arrived early with a friendly delivery driver, will be ordering again Thankyou.

Great food. The pizza and garlic bread were so tasty! Good value too. My only feedback to improve would be - less crust, which is my personal preference.

It was out for delivery for 40 minutes and said delivered 20 minutes before it actually was.

Asked for no mushrooms, still got mushrooms very disappointing!

Real family Italian restaurant, great atmosphere, often see 3 generations of family at a table, been many times, and will return many more, promote to all friends and family.

What should have been a meal out to celebrate a friends birthday turned out to be an awful experience. Order was mixed up when we eventually got it. Spaghetti bolognaise was inedible. Pizzas was bland and doughy. Chips were literally thrown on the table. No one came to the table to ask if we wanted anything else to accompany the meal and no member of staff came to see if the meal was ok. Staff were rude and when I expressed my disappointment at the quality of food served and the service we had been given. One member of staff was very dismissive and sarcastic and rude and were not interested in my complaint. Their answer to our complaint was to take the cost of the Spaghetti dish off the bill. Not sure why the restaurant has gone so downhill. Terrible and very disappointing. Won't be going again.

We have been going here for years and never had a problem but tonight for my birthday 4 of us went and it was so disappointing We ordered our food but it came out wrong,one person ordered a starter as a main but it came out early and we had a long wait for the rest of the food as I think they were waiting for her to finish her starter We had 2 pizzas that were awful and very dry and I had spaghetti Bolognese that was chucked at me with no offer of cheese or pepper When we complained the staff member was very rude and unprofessional we spoke to the manager who knocked the price of the spaghetti off but that wasn't the point as it spoilt my birthday and they were not bothered and we will never go back while the staff and manager are still there Very disappointed 😞😞😞

Rude ignorant staff who argued back when we remarked on food. Wrong order taken and when arrived the boloneise was awful. We all tasted it and wasn't pleasant at all. Didn't ask if we needed parmesan or condiments. Forgot the chips and pretty much threw the bowl down on table. Ruined my friends birthday evening. Spoke to the manager and he took off the boloneise and apologised. Appreciated that. Still won't be going back as changed and not for the better.

Absolutely love this place, my go to for a meal out. Service is as great as the food, your made so welcome by all staff. Always looks spotless, plus lovely outside area. Highly recommended

Went here on the off chance on a Saturday evening, we got a table and the food was really good. Good service and the salted caramel cheese cake was yummy.

Delivery took over an hour but it is weekend, however the food was cold and the lasagne had hardly any flavour to it.

Melon and prosciutto, simple, tasty dish - yes? No! In over 40 years of eating Italian food, travelling around Italy eating Italian food have I ever had strawberry syrup drizzled all over it! Seriously, what? The specials dish of grilled tuna steak and scallops with roasted vegetables, well the tuna was fried and very over cooked and placed on a huge pile of mashed potato, veg were boiled not roasted. Strawberry cheesecake, still searching for the strawberries! Just strawberry syrup slopped on top. No doubt many people enjoy this restaurant but have probably never had true Italian food. I, nor my friend’s, would recommend this restaurant. Just so glad our Italian friends visiting from Italy decided not to join us. Oh, and by the way, beware, I personally observed one of the female staff dashing straight out of a toilet cubicle without washing her hands. If one does it, do they all?

Had pate to start. Had some ‘jam’ under with slices pate on top. Wasn’t stated on menu as I like plain pate The pizza base wasn’t hand made and had no flavour the pizza bland Sat under cold air conditioner unit Double expresso coffee didn’t taste like it Went to ladies loo and girl behind bar came out her toilet and didn’t wash her hands

Very welcoming and accommodated a change in party size without fuss. Service was friendly and efficient. Apart from slightly anaemic garlic bread, the food was delicious.

It's been a while since we were last here but we booked for a family dinner as a last catch up before our grandchild is born. Unfortunately we were a little late due to unforseen issues. The food was mainly great. I had the breaded mushrooms and the Tagliatelle with mushrooms, spinach and courgettes and it didn't disappoint. Hubby had the meat feast pizza and unfortunately was not impressed. The other 4 guests all enjoyed their meals. The only issue I had was the staff were very curt with us which is not usually the case.

When arrived the rude waiter came and took our order. We had minestrone soup starte which consisted of frozen veg in stock with very little spaghetti in it. Mains arrived, my husband had ordered fillet of steak with peppercorn sauce. When he tried it, the steak was off and you could smell it was off too. The rude waiter again came up and once he had been to the kitchen can up and said well the steaks are fresh today. No apology and just rude, we asked for it to be replaced for something else which was delt with quickly for us then to get the bill and still be charge for it. Again no apology or anything. I'm absolutely gutted as this use to be one of our go to places to ear but unfortunately not anymore.......

It was just ok. Food not exactly as described on the menu. Tagliatelle Monte Cristo was supposed to be in a garlic, onions and basil tomato sauce. It came in a cream like thermidor type sauce, not sure pointing this out to the waiter would have done much good. Hey ho, wasn’t all bad, ok starter and my wife’s main (cannelloni) was tasty. Very reasonably priced.

Ordered deepfried brie with Cranberry sauce, but they forgot the Cranberry, ordered chips and they didn't deliver them. writing this while re heating my main course. disappointing as the main restaurant is usually really good. lesson learnt.

We had a lovely meal tonight. The food was excellent and presented beautifully and the staff were very friendly. The only reason I didn’t give 5/5 was because we had to go to the bar during our meal for drinks but a drink was taken off the bill for this. There was also a drink we didn’t have on the bill but that was quickly taken off as they apologised for how busy they were. It was full and a great atmosphere we will definitely visit again! I’m glad we tried this despite the negative reviews, it’s a great place for authentic Italian food.

The food is excellent but the cannelloni has way too much spinach and it spoils it

Family birthday 🎂. Was put under the air-conditioning, and it was draughty, to say the least. The air con was switched on and off. The background music was loud enough for us to have to shout at each other. Otherwise, everything was great 👍.

Food had burst out of the packaging, it was cold. Child's chicken nuggets and chips, chips were burnt, Lasagne was more sauce then food, majorly unimpressed for £40!! Should have ordered from Francescos, always enjoyed the food there, my mistake 🤷‍♀️

the food came and ever single meal was cold cause they had been crushed into a bag and all was open there was lasagne everywhere and it was very tasteless . the kids meal which was nuggets and chips was shocking chips over cooked and 3 nuggets .. but the lasanga was just a watery mess . I rare do reviews but at 40 pound plus this was appollin

My steak was way overcooked which is unacceptable. Also the mash was full of lumps and the onion rings I ordered the clue is in the name ring not bits thrown in a tin very very poor.

Went here for a large family celebration around my brothers 50th. What an amazing restaurant! The food is awesome but what really makes this place are the people...every single member of the staff team were lovely, nothing too much trouble and went out of their way to look after you...wish I lived nearer!

Fantastic food I had the Greek salad to start main meal mexicano tagliatelle followed by eat n mess. First time visiting and I will highly recommend to my friends and family. Staff were very friendly and the waitress was also polite and helpful. We came here Tuesday evening and the place seemed to be buzzing. Looking forward to my next visit. Don't read the negative reviews.

Went here for a family outing. Atmosphere good, waiting staff excellent. Food very good APART from a rip-off “special” starter of Calamari and Whitebait. £8.50 for four calamari rings and four whitebait!!! Unbelievable!

Food was delicious, there was an issue with delivery but restaurant fixed it professionally and politely and this happens extremely rarely as I have ordered here before. Food was worth it.

Loved it, its been ages since ive been here. Still has the same atmosphere, staff was friendly and helpful. The bill was also alot cheaper than was i was expecting.

Super friendly and welcoming staff, Wonderful food, so tasty and wonderfully prepared, totally worth every penny. The only thing we did not enjoy was the 2 tables next to us had these "ladies" and their kids all ruining the ambience by not knowing how to behave. Still, we'll surely come back again as it's really, really good food cooked to perfection.

Met by rude waiter, starter I have to say was very good however ordered a steak for main which was 90% fat, politely told waitor he said “it’s sirloin what do you expect ok I knock money off” angrily and walked away come back with a bill with £5 knocked off a £27 steak. Genuinely had a better steak in local Wetherspoons. Won’t be returning, sooner they sell up the better.

I only ended up having the soup which I'm quite glad about. If my main would have been as disappointing, I wouldn't have been happy. It had a sour aftertaste and therefore didn't sit well with me. Friends seemed to enjoy their dinner, for me not impressd.

Awful experience the manager is a disgrace rushes you about rude to his own staff in front of people and they can't wait to get you out the door overcrowded tables not even clean anymore and make sure you check your bill for price were not the only ones to be overcharged so be aware

Very nice , if you were on early sitting you were asked to leave table so you felt pushed. So apart from wrong pre ordered meal it was OK

Was there for my inlaws 71st birthdays. Food was great but they clearly wanted to rush us to leave. Using an extremely loud stream cleaner as we were trying to celebrate our evening. Won't be going again.

Rude staff, think he was the manager, served cheese on a tomato pasta dish when a diary allergy was stated. Booked 4 weeks in advance for 7 adults, we added one child age 6 and what a problem this was. Allocated a very small table, which after a confrontation we was given a “add on” table. Very poor experience for a birthday treat for my granddaughter. Sent a starter back, very poor quality. Fire alarm went off every few minutes, need to stop burning food, eyes were streaming! Over charged for children’s ice cream. Over all very expensive. Never again!

Good food , good entertainers in the past. Tonight was same good quality. Price still fair despite all the inflation. Yes we recommend and will go again soon.

Quality Food! Really Realllllly Good!

Food was lovely staff very attentive but we all felt very rushed no sooner had we finished our starters the main course arrived then we was asked to drink up in another area so they could clean up in our area.
