Good food and service. I just wish we were offered free water rather than getting bottled water without choice.

The taste is great~ However, you have to pay for still water, so don't eat it if you don't want to pay. Ruby Chicken, Bhel, and Briyani were great.

Went on a weekday around lunch time so there was a bit of a wait but nothing unbearable. The service was 10/10, can’t fault it & it’s really nice and cosy inside. The food was 4/5 I would recommend chicken ruby & Mutton pepper fry - both with naan! I wish they would give a salad or some poppadums with the food, like most authentic restaurants do, but that would cost you an additional £10-15 here lol. The starters are okay, okra fries were interesting… worth it if you want to try something different. Overall, a nice experience 🙂

I’ve been trying to get here for 5 years and after staring down queues a city block long, we finally had the time and moment to slip in for an early dinner. We had the chicken tikka and matar paneer amongst other sides. Fantastic food all around, hands down the best we’ve had (since we’re from the US). Would recommend to anyone on a trip to London or anywhere else Dishoom has a location.

Traveling from the US been Dishoom felt the service a bit aloof. Will come back bec the food is solid.

Ordered the garlic naan, Ruby chicken and gunpowder potatoes. All dishes were good - I thought the gunpowder potatoes were meant to be "crisp roasted potatoes" but was served a wet, sloppy mess of starchy potatoes, doused in (tasty) spice mix. I despise the payment option by QR (just let me pay by card in person, it isn't any more difficult!) and mandatory service charge (was around 12%!!!) at an already exorbitantly priced central London venue. With prices you charge, it doesn't seem fair to charge the customer by "opt out" method such a large fee. We were also unaware prior to dining in that this was a charge. I also thought it was very strange that the toilets are literally directly next to the kitchen where food is served. Very strange placement.

The atmosphere is very cool and the food is very good. But above all, the waiters are pleasant. Special dedication to Johanna who was wonderful with me. I recommend

Always great food and atmosphere

Indian food is delicious in London, but it's especially delicious here. It seems to be crowded at night, so lunch is recommended. The atmosphere is bright and the staff are friendly. You can eat mild curry and they also have beer.

Delicious, I loved it Peri chicken (butter chicken) is beyond delicious Fried okra was once delicious. Try it once Biryani is normal I do not recommend chicken tikka Samosa with meat, I liked it, others didn’t like it The service is great It is very crowded and there is a wait for those who do not want to wait to book before coming

Unlike the branch in Manchester, this branch has not many options, eg., no soup, no lamb biryani.. I ordered Lamb Curry, which was very awful with no rice.

Needed lunch, shared a few great dishes, in and out less than 45

There was a problem with a fire alarm which meant we couldn’t have the naan breakfast so the drinks were on the house and the service was impeccable. It also meant we had to venture out and try the other breakfast dishes which were amazing! We had the chilli cheese eggs and the Big Bombay. We also had a free dessert as we celebrated a birthday.

Nice authentic Indian restaurant. I'm only a fan of curry dishes if I'm near a restroom if not it makes for an explosive evening...anyway I order a dish with curry chicken, the dish was flavorful and spicey. After every bite I was regretting as this curry slide down into my bowl ducts creating the formula of regret for when I get back to my hotel. In the meantime, I will enjoy this fabulous dish. The atmosphere is lively the wait staff is patient and professional. The restroom is located downstairs by the kitchen. The kitchen where the pasta or bread is made, which is open. I could literally grab or interfere with the making of the dough. I just thought that was weird and not within sanitary guidelines, maybe it's different in the UK. None the less the food was good, and the experience was fantastic. If you manage to eat too much the restaurant is located next to an outdoor mall so you can walk off the food. I definitely recommend the restaurant if you're in the area.

Very nice experience at Dishoom Carnaby! The dishes were delicious, with a big favorite for the Chicken Ruby and the Black Dal, perfect with the hot naan. The chai latte was excellent, surely one of the best I have tasted. The atmosphere is great, you feel transported to Bombay, and the service is really attentive. An address that I recommend without hesitation!

Excellent. Lovely, helpful staff. Great food. Love that some of our money goes for meals for those less fortunate . Just a bit noisy for me. We are older people and find it difficult to hear. Is music essential?

We were disappointed. There was not a good connection to translate the menu into French. So we ordered a little randomly, my husband who had chicken curry was a very small bowl and we forgot to take rice and the waitress didn't offer us so we had to ask for some afterwards. I who had fish fritters because I wasn't very hungry, I had the fritters first and all the other dishes arrived well after so we didn't eat at the same time. My daughter's meat dish was dry. We expected more flavor. Otherwise the waitress was nice but the bill with integrated tips was very expensive.

One of my favorite desi places in London. I’ve been here twice & can say they are consistent when it comes to quality of food. They do have a small menu but the items they do have are absolutely delicious. The American in me wants to scream that the prices are high & portions are small, but I’ll digress on those aspects. The naan , butter chicken , briyani & mango lassi are amazing. Please order these. The only criminal thing is they sell the raita, come on now most places offer this as part of the dish! Do not sell it separately.

Food and drinks were great, but our server was rude.

I had the monkfish curry. The fish was cooked nicely and I could taste lovely flavours in it, but it was SO salty. I couldn't finish it which was a shame because it was good. Mango lassi and the non-alcoholic grapefruit cocktail drink were both fantastic. Lovely crispy-but-soft garlic naan bread. Couldn't stop eating it! I've had a biriyani here before and I loved it. The highlight was the chocolate dessert though. Dark chocolate and chilli ice cream. Magic! The ice cream was the best bit of all, you could really taste the flavour of chilli. Atmosphere was fantastic and service was faultless.
