Morrisons in Leeds

I live in a village which is 10 miles round trip to morrisons in boroughbridge, yet again another wasted journey, empty boxes on shelves, hardly any toilet rolls,lots of items with no prices,untidy items on the shelves.over the past month I have had a wasted shopping trip nearly every week, well morrisons you have done me a great favour.....I now buy my milk straight from the farm (with no bovaer),all my vegetables from a local veg cart,and all my meat from the village butchers, which is 100% better quality and at no more extra cost, my other non food items will be bought elsewhere, I cannot understand why does the manager not address these problems, reading through the reviews I'm not the only unhappy customer ,after 10 years of shopping there,I won't be going back again

Worse than Wetherby, let that sink in. Very grubby and poor selection and stock levels.

Por favor, ponga más personal en las cajas. ¡No quiero usar el autoservicio! No trabajo para ti. La configuración está mal y te encuentras vagando arriba y abajo cada vez más frustrado. Great place to stop on your A1 trip. Cafe great, better than average motorway stop, and you can top with travel vitals without the hype

After shopping at the Boroughbridge store since it opened, apart from the Covid period I have never seen the shelves so short of stock as the last few weeks. I have asked staff about the problem and the many missing items, they generally agree this is the situation but no one has put forward an explanation. As this means visiting a rival store to complete my shop there comes a point where it will be easier just to shop elsewhere. I hope this situation can be rectified. Peter Barker.

Very friendly staff usually but only one person on the tills with the usual 3 or 4 hovering or sorting out the constant problems at self checkout. Why do supermarkets persist in using these?!!!?

Stocking levels of fresh produce seems to be consistently poor and have been for some time now. Shelf stable generally ok stock wise. Store is often tidy enough. Toilet facilities unfortunately atrocious, often unclean despite the rota being signed off every hour. Raised the issue of toilets a few times and they seem to get no better.

Store is clean and has plenty of parking, just don't expect the greatest stock levels as some are hit and miss.

Excellent service, easy to find what you want.

Only big supermarket in Boroughbridge but they look after it and it is well stocked. You also have the option of using the 24hr petrol station and mini Morrisons shop.

Not local to me, but I stop off here, in Boroughbridge, when travelling up the A1 for a comfort break and refreshment, as Morrisons have a good selection of snacks and drinks.

First visit this afternoon, but left extremely disappointing. No fresh produce on shelves not even bananas. No wonder people are going to Aldi! Wouldn't recommend a visit.

Just been in a store, the cashier got out of his seat and allowed 2 young girls to scan the items for their family whilst he watched. Only one mistake where an item scanned twice. I'm not sure if this is a thing to do, but it made me smile and it was a real nice gesture to engage with the public in this way. Well done Morrisons it's them little things that make a difference. 👍

Conveniently located just off junction 49 of the A1, pleasant alternative to the normal service station. Staff very friendly, and the store stocks the usual range of goods you would expect. Update Aug 22: first time using the cafe, ok but not the best Morrisons one I have visited, and the toilets need some TLC.

We went in for a newspaper,bread and a coffee. The restaurant was very confusing luckily found someone who knew what to do. There was no one at the till. You help yourselves to the drinks just very odd

I went yesterday the store seems clean staff are nice but I’ve given 1 star for the female customer toilets they are absolutely disgusting one of the worst I’ve ever been into they have not been cleaned for months the floors are black yellow stains over everything including the sink and soap dispensers the smell of urine that hits you is vile you have to see it to believe it i did complain to customer services the gentleman was very polite and apologetic and thanked me for letting him know but that level of filth doesn’t happen in a day or a week im just grateful i didn’t take my child in there don’t offer the service if you can’t maintain hygiene standards and it does make me question the hygiene in the store absolutely shocking I’m actually angry with Morrisons I wish I’d never gone in there it needs condemning To think the customer then go out and do their shopping touching products 🤮

It's Morrisons like most other Morrisons is you know what to buy bargains can be had but this is conveniently placed with no other major stores close by

Great visit, friendly staff, only criticism is reductions appear negligible and not helping the poorest of society with pride. Is the plan to drive the lower quartile to the food bank?

Dirty toilets with faeces on the wall. No toilet paper and the smell was absolutely awful. Cafe tables not clean but food was good. 2 stars due to hygiene standards.

Empty shelves again. Been like this for months. Excuses all the time re late delivery.. Bouroughbridge store needs attention. Been shopping more and more at other places. Others voice same opinion.

This review is for both the garage and the store. I arrived this morning at 6.45am to a busy garage. The illuminated sign read L.P.G. gas 99.9p per litre. I park on the pump and they are out of gas. I commented to the nice girl on the desk who proclaimed "oooh we can't turn the sign off when we run out. So I thought I will fill my camper up with diesel elsewhere. I then tried to park in the suoermarket car park and there was a barrier for vehicles over ten ft in height. So I ended up going in via the out exit. I then tried to pick up a trolley but there were none except for what looked like huge rusty trolleys that looked like they had been used in the first Workd War trenches that nobody wanted from the night before. I decided to use the toilets that to be honest I felt dirtier having used coming out. If you are going to have 4 dispensers of hand wash try to make sure at least one of then has liquid in it. I then went back through the car park to get a small trolley. The car park and whole ambience looked disgraceful with rubbish around rust on the fittings and a general air of decay. All the staff inside were miserable and unwelcoming. The women speeding around picking for deliveries looked as if she had just had a row with her husband and lost. Maybe that's why she threw the box of eggs in her cart from a distance. There wasn't a check out opened so I asked for one because if I don't get paid or offered the use of the staff canteen I don't use self checkout. Again miserable. I made a small joke and just received a glare. On purpose I said "have a lovely day" and was then in receipt of a grunt. All in all the skankiest Morrisons in the known universe. I am sad that the stars on the review panel don't go into minus quantities.

Overal good shopping experience with a wide variety of choices to choose from

Just had a delivery with no substitutions, amazing! Unfortunately, they sent chicken tikka instead of chicken slices and peppered beef instead of plain beef. And just put my bread away and 1 loaf has tomorrow's date on. Disappointing, and now have to go out to get correct things which defeats the objective 🤨

Had cream tea in the cafe which was really good, will have it again. The store was clean with plenty to choose from. The toilets let it down sadly, dirty and what looked like blood spray inside a cubicle. The rota for cleaning checks had been signed but don't think any actual checks had been done

If you time it right there's some good bargains to be had. I must admit. I do like the fresh pizzas and hot counter

Small store for one of the major supermarket empires (at least in the north). Small selection of produce and of poor quality compared to competitors. The ‘Use By’ dates are always same day or one day later at best. Shocking lack of staff. Can be waiting 10 minutes because a self-serve checkout (which makeup 90% of checkouts!) before anyone even bothers to notice you. Not good when you’re disabled like myself! Only positive is lots of disabled parking and being a small store, I can at least make it to the fresh produce and ready meals before I run out of energy or pain becomes too much. If you’re healthy, go somewhere else!

Really nice cafe with good choices and great prices

Well organised and spacious, felt safe. Good standard of products too. Also want to add a big Thank You for the chairs half way round the store. It was a great relief to be able to rest a few minutes!

Not a good cafe at all when compared to the other morrison's cafes i have visited. Ordered 3 teas and ended up having to ask where our order was. Lady was so flustered saying it wasn't on her till. I did feel sorry for her, however, this is always the case when eating here. Very unorganised and desperately in need of more mature staff with managerial skills. Also, a very dirty restaurant.

Morrison's cafe staff member was rude and has no good customer service. She gave me attitude when I asked her if she could fill my own travel coffee cup & didn't want to do it for me. (which saves on the environment of wasting paper cups).She didn't even acknowledge an elderly customer that had been standing there for a long time to be served. I had to ask her which she then gave me more attitude. (Date Tuesday 9th April 4pm).

I went to my local store in boroughbridge and the staff who was running the checkout helped me sort my morrisons card out two lovely people.

Had a horrible experience here in the café today, staff were lovely, however the breakfasts and hot drinks we ordered were freezing cold, multiple pieces of eggshell found in our scrambled eggs and our tomatoes weren't even grilled, completely raw, wouldn't recommend and will not be purchasing from the café again.

Seasonal stock is out now with somewhat good prices although not for me

Had a brekkie with family good value and very tasty. Sadly we had lunch at the restaurant last week and although food was tasty and plentiful it was cold which is a shame. Also A/C blasting away so made things even colder .

Good staff. What more do you want.

I visit this particular store as apposed to my local one for a number of reasons but the main one is the staff. Without exception who ever I interact with is just terrific. The young blond haired female manager on duty most Saturday mornings is great and I have to mention two of the young men in the fruit and veg department. The other Sat (late afternoon) I asked a young chap for carrots as the shelf was empty and he apologised and dashed off to rectify it immediately. Today I went in for last min Christmas food shopping. A few items of veg hadn't been refilled - I asked another young chap wearing a head set. He asked what I needed - suggested I carry on shopping and he would save them for me. He did better than that - he actually came to find me in the store and brought the items to me. Superb service and at a time when people of often complain I wanted to express my thanks to the entire team for continuing to give superb service. Thank you.

I am disabled and find that there are plenty of parking provided for disabled customers. The lay out is good and the staff are helpful. Good fish, meat, and fresh veg.

Cafe not serving hot food again, because they haven’t had many customers! What a load of tosh!

I class myself as a frequent visitor to both the store and the cafe. One of the issues I've noticed at this time of year (late November) is that due to having no front doors, the bitter cold wind constantly blows in. That combined with the cold air from the air conditioning units in the cafe is making it very unpleasant. Food and hot drinks have to be consumed quickly before they go cold. Something needs to be sorted to make the cafe a pleasant place to spend any time.

Standard Morrison's, very busy and the car park is a little more difficult to navigate than most. All you need under one roof. Just off motoway.

Absolutely awful customer service 25 mins for a cup tea to table then breakfast came out stone cold do not go there waste off time

It was tidy and easy to shop. Fuel prices are reasonable, especially considering the proximity to the motorway. Has everything a supermarket normally has, plus hairdressers, car wash.

The staff needs reminding when closing time is. I couldn’t find anyone to turn the flashing red light off at the self checkout. It was 9:30 pm. Just because it’s quiet doesn’t mean it’s empty right? Anyway I gave up and left my stuff on the counter and exited the shop as punishment .😎

Today I went into the boroughbridge cafe for a toasted tea cake. I had been sat 25 mins for a toasted tea cake. I asked the gentleman at the front where it was. He said there was only x2 people in the kitchen. This was so wrong. Tables were filthy they had not been cleared. It was been run on a shoe string

Conveniently situated at the end of my street. Sometimes good bargains. Tills were manned so no big queues. Good selection of plants and flowers. Shelves are beginning to suffer from lack of good staff. Things wrongly placed and no relevant price tickets. Checkout staff are usually very polite, helpful and cheerful.

Look as a supermarket i get your busy and things can slip time to time but those toilets are not clean, this was at around 5:30pm I took this and it wasn't busy, the bins was over flowing, urine all over, soiled boxers on top of the bin, no hand soap and the smell was disgusting, I've been at Glastonbury and those toilets didn't smell that bad. Food hall standards have dropped a tad to be honest and it was never that great before hand, general store Staff are relatively friendly and the store is pretty well stocked but it's so expensive now and the morrisons club card is weak against its competitors , you don't even get much from it. If this wasn't as close then I doubt I'd use it anymore. Sorry just my honest opinion.

Ziemlich teuer im Vergleich zu anderen Supermärkten. Auch die Auswahl ist nicht so gross- man bekommt zwar fast Alles, was man sucht, aber eben ohne preisgünstigere Alternativen. Ich mochte die Wärmetheke! Einiges sah zwar aus, als läge es schon seit Stunden dort, aber uns hat ein frisch gebratenes Hähnchen an einem vollkommen verregneten Tag auf dem Campingplatz den Abend gerettet, das war Klasse und fühlte sich gut an.

Came with family for lunch, ordered via self service menu board & paid. First no mashed potato, although it was an option on menu board! Then no adult mac n cheese again on board! Ordered 2 children's flavoured milk AGAIN unavailable. Sauce buckets were empty. Ordered a caramel latte, quess, No caramel syrup. Full english: hashbrowns overcooked. Bacon VERY fatty. Food luke warm but by this time we just needed to eat! Not a very positive experience.

Morrisons is always quiet, which makes the shopping experience so much nicer. They have started to drop their prices so I've begun to shop at this store again. The staff are mostly friendly and eager to assist. Queues for the checkouts are not too bad.

Nice store, big and great range

Plenty of parking, went in at lunchtime, place wasn’t that busy but only 2 tills open which were packed! Staff stood around taking pics off aisles on their tablets and repricing items whilst customers waited 15-20 mins to get served!

Clean nice staff but prices could be seen in M&S

Almost all the check outs are self service now. Very disappointing and very frustrating, because they don't work very well, and the one staff member there to sort issues is overrun with problems. Bring a load of the manned check outs back, or you risk upsetting a lot of customers.

First time coming here and won’t be back. There was no bottles of Pepsi max left so we asked which bottle we should take and she laughed at us and shrugged her shoulders. The food wasn’t made properly (out of the small variety of stock they had left) and no direction when there wasn’t any table numbers left. Trays left everywhere and no one on the till. When we saw our food come out we mentioned it was ours as previously told her we didn’t have a table number. The woman sighed and walked back to the kitchen, later returning with our food. One of the women was really helpful but really let us down with the woman with the attitude.
