Morrisons Sheffield - Halfway Cafe in Sheffield

This place has improved massively to the point where it’s actually fantastic value for a lovely bite to eat. The breakfasts here used to be awful but I begrudgingly ordered one as I was visiting the supermarket with a friend, I couldn’t believe how much the breakfasts had improved I really enjoyed it in fact I visited again the following week and again very nice. I visited for late lunch today after doing some shopping with my missus and kids. I was still a tad apprehensive even though the breakfast had improved, I needn’t have worried the food was great again. For a start what great value! Kids meals are free any time, any day when ordered along with an adult meal. I ordered the fish and chips and I must admit I had visions of one of those pre cooked frozen battered fish portion coming out but to my amazement what came out was a perfect freshly battered and fried to order fish which was so fresh and delicious it was like it had come straight from their fish counter and into the fryer. The chips were average but very hot and crispy and the mushy pease are real chip chop mushy peas. It was better quality fish and chips than our local chippy I will definitely be returning. Yuk I ordered a roast beef Sunday lunch I recieved reheated potatoes, roasties, veg and a small redy made Yorkshire pudding. The beef was the thin sliced rubber variety that you can buy out of the freezer. Never again

Once the best Supermarket cafe, now still reasonably good food, prices gone up a lot, this one at Halfway getting like many others, tables left with used plates etc, scruffy atmosphere, obviously have lots of plates, cups etc by amount of dirty one’s sitting on tables.

Did my shopping in Morrisons on Thursday afternoon what a palava with the checkouts. Felt so sorry for the 1 lady on the self checkouts, my till kept buffering on tinned soup. I spent £145.00 to SERVE MYSELF and the MANAGEMENT can't even get another staff member to help with problems. Gets very frustrating especially when other customers are waiting for the till. It was also very busy. NOT GOOD MORRISONS 🥵🥺

Why are morrisons not following the rules regarding wearing of face masks they were the ones saying they would not admit non mask wearers and here we are june 23 with none mask wearers not challenged and being served

Called here for a nice sandwich and a coffee, ended up with a toasted teacake. Only serve Baguettes now, not everyone wants thick crusty bread. Used to be quite busy but is now quiet. Need to get back to basics as people call for a quick snack before going home to dinner.
