Moshan Box Dinner in Swindon

Just tried this restaurant for the first time and we will definitely be back. Welcome was very friendly and we were shown to a lovely little side room on the top floor with a table for four and a nice 2 seater sofa in there. Lovely ambiance. There were 3 of us and we had the jerk chicken skewers for starter, followed by the jerk lamb, chicken and steak for mains. All of the food was fantastic, well cooked to our preference and all had great taste of the Caribbean seasoning on the meat and in the gravy. Had a couple of cocktails too which were very nice - mango mojito was excellent. All in all a really nice experience, thankyou.

This restaurant is one of our favourites. Meal with my nephew, his daughters, and one of their boyfriends. We all shared numerous starters the Trinidad Roti x1, Jerk Pork x 2, Stamp & Go x 1, Jamaican Pattie x 1, Cassava Chips x 1. There are no pictures of those as we were starving and jumped right in. Then, for mains, we had Mac n Cheese and Jerk Chicken Bake x 1, Curried Goat x 3 and a Caribbean Fish Curry with most having rice and peas and one having the dumplings.

Ordered food online for delivery which stated it would be delivered in 55 minutes. Ordered food at 7:30pm and still nothing by 9:15pm. Called up to chase this and whoever we spoke to was rude and didn’t care. No apology or anything. Had to cancel the order in the end because who wants to eat a heavy meal at half 9 at night? 8 months pregnant and left with no dinner. Not happy and won’t be returning

Visited this evening with friends and children. It was absolutely wonderful! Amazing service, delicious food and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Takeaway is absolutely banging!! Love ordering from here Food is always on point. Flavours are wild and everything tastes great. My only issue is portion size, especially the coleslaw and steamed veg. But otherwise everything's perfect

My wife and I ate here and meal was delicious. Had Trinidad roti and patty to start followed by chilli fish curry and Caribbean chicken curry. Fish curry had a real kick in a good way! Red stripe, rum punch and mount gay rum and coke all good. If you're in the street look up and stop by food was great!

Ordered a takeaway as fancied something different other than Chinese or Indian. I visited their place a couple of years ago and the food then was really good. The takeaway arrived about an hour after ordering which was what they said so timing good, delivery driver really polite and the food was amazing, only issue was it was lukewarm when arrived as sometimes can happen when ordering a takeaway. Yes we could have warmed it up but it didn't matter as the taste was fantastic, just enough spice without being overly spicy, from the jerk chicken with rice to the minted jerk lamb steaks to the little belly pork with honey sauce. It was all so tasty. Next time might do a collection but seriously good food.

The Moshan is one of the best places to eat in Swindon!! Always extremely friendly, amazing food and the Rum Punch is to die for….. Relaxed vibes, a little taste of the Caribbean in Swindon.

My partner and I went here last month and wow the food was delicious! I had a the jerk chicken Mac and Cheese and it was amazing! Service was brilliant and the prices were reasonable too - would 100% recommend if you’re looking for some 5 star Caribbean food in Swindon!

Lovely meal as always, great staff, even let me teach them how to make a Zombie cocktail. Curried goat soooo tender, Bajan mak and cheese to die for. Local business that needs local support. Only Caribbean restaurant in Swindon. Go there.

We found the service and atmosphere to be good. Wide selection of food on the menu including a Vegan section. Food was presented well and very tasty; can be spiced to your liking. The festivals were a bit odd. We will be back.

Service was excellent. The waiter (who I believe was also the chef as this was early) asked very detailed questions about my wife’s likes to enable him to cook the starter and steak to her exact requirements. Both done perfectly. Barbados bake was also excellent. Great value for money. Will definitely go again

Fabulous relaxed evening with family and friends, Cocktails are amazing and even better 2 for £12!! The jerk chicken is lovely everyone enjoyed there meal including the kids, the menu has something for everyone and the waitresses were more than happy to talk us through the dishes so we could choose something we would enjoy. Tasteless food. Waited 1 hr & 30 mins for food. They do this so you order lots of drinks. Dont waste your time. Plenty other places to get Caribbean food in Swindon.

A rare treat for us, as we always considered Mosham's a bit more expensive than your Indian or Chinese, but well worth it and actually the portion sizes makes it more comparable price wise. The food was lovely and still hot. No complaints and won't leave it so long again to order some delicious Caribbean food. Nice job guys!

Prawn curry gone downhill loads but higher in price. It used to have large shell Prawns and small. It literally had 3 tiger Prawns in.

Not sure what happened today, we’re regular customers but something was off today. Ingredient and portion ratios were off in my box meal ( more potato than chicken) , and my pork belly that is always crispy and lovely was just rubbery and not crispy at all. Disappointed 😞

Delicious but damaged packaging on arrival (it was still hot and tasty).

Have bought here before and had a mixture of good and bad, this time was really delicious, all spiced well. Only criticism would be plantain weren’t ripe when cooked and not enough steam veg. I had one large piece of cabbage stalk. Otherwise delicious and always way too much rice which is a positive for some 👍🏼

Great food but there could be more kidney beans in the rice and peas. I counted 5. Not a lot for the price of the meal :-)

Well this was the second occasion of using moshan on both occasions the food was luke warm and quantities of meat to rice was disappointing ( ie very little meat and bulked up with luke warm rice) meals were delivered seapig out of the containers and leaking through the carrier bag (yuk) and at nearly 35pounds for two meals and a very fatty pork starter not excellent value either

Ordered a variety of dishes for myself and friends to try. All were delicious, using a wide variety of spices that you can actually taste- it's not only heat and nothing else. Portion sizes were reasonable for the price, for mains and sides. I don't personally order takeaways often, but I would gladly order from Moshan again, and can absolutely recommend it.

I love jamaican food,but was so disappointed with the brown chicken stew and rice n peas. The rice was undercooked and tasteless, and the stew, which contained 1 chicken thigh, lacked the depth of flavour i was expecting.

My mutton curry was so over salted and spiced that I was unable to eat it. Real shame. Fried dumplings were a tad greasy but edible.
