chips could have been better . and the tea cake was soggy and the fish wasn't in the tea cake it looked a mess but fish was very nice and the curry and peas were nice too not very nice presented.

Tracking is an issue, it says driver is at restaurant then they arrive as soon as it says out for delivery, meaning tracking is pointless

Very poor called in this afternoon was met by a very welcoming server we ordered and was directed to take a table we ordered fish and chips curry suauce and mushy peas and a coffee. Food arrived the fish was way over cooked as it was dry and powdery and the chips had a strange taste not sure if the chips had been keeped warm to long or the fryer need a oil change all in all had better at other mother huberds I will be giving this branch a miss

I received the wrong order and when I eventually got our food it was barely warm

Ive been waiting nearly40 minutes and it still hasnt got here though according to the tracking he's near my house. My son has gone to look for him. Our food will be cold when we gget it. I think you should repay some of my money back.

I eat fish and chips fairly often and this is the best I've had in years. The chips were great but the fish was so exceptional it merits a review. Crispy batter, perfectly flaky and moist fish, genuinely absolutely delicious and I will be back. A really really pleasant surprise

Barely any chips in my Fish & Chips. Poor.

Simply the worst fish and chips I’ve had in over 50 years of practice! Dry, stale and cold chips, a fish butty costing £7.95 which was so tiny, withered, stale and hard around the edges, it didn’t even cover the teacake! A splash of gravy is £1.50 which was in a tiny tub. Overall, I would never, ever eat from Mother Hubbard’s ever again when there is a far superior fish shop just over the road! I would advise everybody to do the same and steer well clear!

food was cold, for a special and was given 14 chips... half the butty was missing the butter the picture showed peas ... no peas. got the super jumbo, absolutely freezing no beans or peas as showed, standard chips wouldn't even say large even the free curry sauce was that cold it was almost jellyfied. spent £40 to just end up having to cook anyway.

chips were not fresh, was dry, and the fish was overcooked. delivery was on time

What a late night save! We were staying in Halifax and I remembered the was a great chip shop in King Cross and we went to see if it was open and it was. The fish butty was wonderful, the chips were perfect and the price was perfect. Thank you!

I recently visited this branch, hoping for a classic fish and chips experience, but I left feeling quite disappointed. Not only did they serve old, chilled fish, but they also had the audacity to charge full price for it! The fish was clearly not fresh, lacked flavor, and was cold, as if it had been sitting out for hours. The chips were soggy and uninspired, far from the crispy and hot serving you expect from a place like this. For the price they charge, I expected much better quality. It’s frustrating to pay for what should be a hot and fresh meal only to receive something that tastes like leftovers. There are plenty of other places that offer far better fish and chips at similar prices. I won't be returning anytime soon.

We always ordered fish and chips from Mothers hubbard's cause everything was good, unfortunately today's order was awful, overcooked not fried chips and small oily fish. The person who made it should give me a refund out of his own pocket. Neveragain

Credit where credit is due, had my doubts but fair play.. A good portion and all cooked well. Nice fish good chips and not greasy at all. Will be using them next time for sure 👍👍

The thumb nail makes you think you get a drink & two small sides but you don't, it also doesn't give you a description of what you orderd either, the thumb nail picture is very deceptive. I got a Pollock Fish & very dry Chips, for £22.77.

By watching the map he did 2 previous drops going the opposite way. He started 2 miles away at mother Hubbards then ended up 3 miles away. The food was cold when it arrived and not enjoyable

the chips were rock hard n hardly cooked the scollop were horrible like they we reheated n cooked 3 x over the only this that was bearable to eat was the fish won't be spending £60 for horrible food again won't be see us again

Fish bites are always on point. This place has a beautiful seating decking area to enjoy the food in the sun. Definitely need to go again.

We ordered food, turned up to collect it and the place was all shut up, 5 minutes before the advertised closing time. We had no correspondence about an early closure. We submitted a complaint but a refund was not offered due to the policy (we weren't told what this "policy" was) so we were £30 out of pocket and foodless. Just Eat and Mother Hubbard's have handled this very poorly and both have lost a very valuable customer - we used to enjoy eating from there but neither will take a penny off us ever again thanks to this very, very poorly handled situation.

I use Mother Hubbards quite often and I find the Fish always cooked just right ✅️ BUT the chips, well to say its such a big company you would expect continuity but NO like my chips today where so dry and crunchy (not a chip in my book) I would say they had been in the warmer FAR too long.

Don’t know what’s happening with the chips but last three times they are dry and scrappy. Used to buy from here regular but don’t think I will bother any more. Also chips were almost cold the fish was nice still !!!

Would not give any stars! This is the second time that the courier has said they have delivered our food but guess what no food! Maybe you should check what your delivery drivers are actually doing with the food that your customers are ordering! Absolutely disgusted with the lack of reliability of this so called home delivery service! And if I was mother hubbards I would look at getting rid of Just eat and their delivery drivers!

No items arrived I am so so angry! My children are having a friend sleep over, all hungry and we really fancied fish and chips,app stated delivered and NO ITEMS OR DELIVERY OF ANY KIND WAS MADE!! Mother hubbards just said to take it up with just eat and there’s nothing they can do!!

Wish the delivery drivers would read the instructions that lead straight to my door instead of phoning and asking for directions .
