Terrible experience and wouldn't go again. Somosa so hard and unedible. Told that because its a punjabi samosa! Felt ill later that day. Unprofessional attitude and very poor customer skills. Won't be going again.

Overall an average experience. There are better places to eat in Southall for Punjabi cuisine. Chilly potatos, paneer rolls, and lassi were awesome. Rest of the food we ate was just average. Ambience is typical of a Punjabi joint. Wouldn’t be eating here again.

Went with family lunch after the shopping. I ordered masala dhosa for myself and found hair on masala. It was very unflattering and unpleasant experience.

I have been coming here for well over 35 years with the same companion, both of us born in Kenya and used to the best of Indian/Pakistani cuisine. We selected it initially because we noticed all the customers were Indian, and mostly still are. Usually we are the only European customers there. The food is consistently delicious and remarkably good value. Worth a detour, though don't expect comfort. The emphasis is on the food.

Terrible experience. The server didn't take our order for 15 minutes. And it wasn't even busy at the moment when we arrived.We ordered chicken noodles and veg thali ,chicken noodles got served within 15 minutes but had to wait for 40 minutes for veg thali and then we had to cancel our order as we waited 10 more minutes and it still wasn't ready.Poor customer service.

Popped in for drinks and snacks as need a rest from shopping. All the snacks - samosa, cakes, burfi, mithai etc. very nice, nothing extra special. Samosa cooked at front of shop - so fresh.

The food was Devine! I was not disappointed! Best place to visit in the Broadway! Followed by some desi Chai!

I regularly having business meetings in and around southall and find Moti Mahal very vibrant and not of course to mention they have tasty food. They seem to have done place up very well.

Went shopping with friends to buy my first Indian suit for a friends wedding. What a great way to end the day with some tasty food! I’ve had a lot of Indian food but there is something unique about this place. I asked the manager what the secret is, he said they make all food fresh, nothing is from frozen and they make their own samosa everyday! That explains it :)

It is an okay restaurant in Southhall for Punjabi food. The food did not have an authentic taste with masalas adequately imbibed in the food. Service is good. They have a variety of sweets prepared fresh. I ordered a Potato Kulcha and felt this dish could have been prepared a lot better. Decor is simple.

I was visiting from Canada and my friend recommended this place. Very clean, excellent service, and the food was amazing. True taste of Panjab, manager recommended desert and was fantastic. We don’t like chilly food but this place is special. We plan to visit again thank you

Visited the restaurant for lunch. The best part of it is the service time. It was super quick So if you are in hurry and no time to spare but want yo eat hot food this is the place. We ordered saag and makki di roti, which was good with a zing of green chillies. The gol gappas were good and the papri chatt. We order some masal chai and chole bhatura . The only let down was chole bhatura which was not yo the mark. However the overall experience was good. We were out in like 40 mins..

We order 2 chats … it’s our fortune my daughter didn’t swallowed the staple pin , but still she bited and her mouth hurts so much. Staff is so rude we didn’t eat anything and they didn’t even call the manager at point. Never recommend this place.

Behaviour of Manager was unwelcome. We visit restaurant friday 23/09 at 8.30pm for dinner. When we enter in restaurant manager approach us and refuse us to sit. He said we are closed however the closing timing showing online 9.30pm. Similarly we visit again next morning around 10.50am. Again he refused us to sit and said we are closed. I request them ok if you closed no worry but can i get parcel a sweets because we was going back to our city. He refused to give ready sweets also. I have never ever seen this type of service in my entire life. You should shut down your restaurant if you don't want to treat customers.

First time visiting the place and I must say that the food was amazing. We ordered Punjabi samosa chaat, veg noodles, dal makhani and aloo parantha. Everything was bought fresh and piping hot. They even catered for my kids and bought the noodles without chilli as requested. The service was great and very professional. Overall a great visit and I will be returning again..

We used to go there a number of years ago… the food then was wholesome and delicious. However our recent experiences have absolutely terrible. The food is clearly old stock just reheated. No salt or any flavour to the food. It appeared they just wanted to get rid of us and served us something and rushed us out. Prices are exorbitant for such measly portions. If at least one item was good we could have given it another point. Everything we ordered was awful. Even the lassi. Certainly won’t be going there ever again.

We went here last Friday for a mid day seat down tea and snacks. We waited more than half an hour to be told Spring Rolls were not available. We ordered Chilli bhagia, these were good and therefore, we ordered three portions for take away. The take away ones were so bad we had to throw it all away. They were oily, burnt, old stock refried number of times. We would have taken it back if we lived near by. Furthermore, the service was very poor and unfriendly.

Did not order food and only bought sweets from them , it was stale and dry. Bengali /Chhena sweet tastes better when fresh , maybe its a slow moving item but you can always make less quantity and frequently.

This place is amazing, all types of food is catered for. Located in a busy area, very clean, service with a smile. Had masala tea on this occasion however I observed dishes ranging from freshly fried bhajias and jelebi and the aroma very good. They also have Asian sweets, must a visit.

We ordered a samosa chaat alongside with a variety of starters.We were enjoying our food until we found a fried, dead insect in our samosa chaat.Upon seeing this we alerted our waiter who then informed us that the dead fly must have flown into our food. We then requested to speak to the manager who was to busy to come in person and apologise. He removed this from our bill. Very disappointed with his manners and coustemer service skills. As often as I can when I go to London, I visit Southall, and this is where I stop for lunch. I am a returning customer. The place is nice, clean, pleasant, relaxing, the food is great value for money, and as I am not Asian, each time I discover something new and I am never disappointed. Plus, as soon as I enter and see the genuinely gentle smile of the less young waiter serving the drinks, I feel at home.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for decades! It’s a part of Southall History & has had many a face lift but I really like the look currently with great Indian city signs for each table. We sat at Chandigarh because that’s where our Mum is from! Always manage to over order as we have greedy eyes , (I blame our family genes) . Ordered Non Veg Thali which consisted of 3 meat curries, rice, yoghurt, salad, nan bread & a Gulab Jaman all for £7.80. So worth it! For the veggie peeps , I would recommend the obligatory channa masala or a paneer roll. There is a Veg Thali option too. Of course my niece ordered her favourite lamb biryani. There was only 4 of us , for lunch lol . All washed down with salty lassis & I had a Falooda ~ rose syrup, kulfi ice cream, milkshake with vermicelli & little basil seeds. Good thing the menu doesn’t have calorie counts. Totally yummy & sent us all into a food coma. Shopping trip became very slow after that. Don’t go if you’re on a diet of any kind. It’s a carb fest. The temptation will be too great. Staff were lovely & very helpful as always. I’m sure one of the waiters has been there since 1972!

We really appreciated the indian food which was excellent, especially the fish ! Pizzas for kids were good and cheap with the happy hours. Everybody was really nice and even played with our kids !

It does get busy here and place could do with a good clean, however the food is very good. Go for chaats and maybe select a few to share round.

As a Punjabi the food here is excellent - and so much choice. I love the pictures of the Punjab as well.

I can only speak for what I ate: Chole batura! A traditional punjabi dish for a Sunday which was, fir me , today, a Sunday, utterly devine. Thanks

New decor but old habits, we came here last week food was substandard and service was verse we did not like the dish which was floating in oil but did not get any reply from waiter even when we complained, its not good food pls try and see , there are Better restuarants on broadway. Although the design and layout inside is good followed by customer service but the quality was just average. Hungry, may be option. Had Non-Veg thaali ( was ok),veg thaali ) could have been better), chola bhatura was fine-pakoras and rest of starters were just average.

Having known this restaurant for several years my wife and I decided to eat here. It must have been about a good 20 years since I last visited.

Absolutely love this place. My family have been coming here since the 70s and for a long time the ambience resembled a typical loud noisy, busy restaurant in India, the food was always the best; Now, they have recently had a refurb and it looks great. No loud horrible music, no tv playing football (thank god) a perfect place to come when you want to get away from Southalls busy, loud streets after all that shopping. The foods always so tasty and the staff are very helpful. The value you get for your money here is top notch. I found a lot of restaurants in Southall lack the customer service especially when it comes to serving female only groups, however the team in Moti-Mahal are great. Very attentive. Its nice to see the team smiling as they serve and generally when they are behind the counter. Nice happy team. The hygiene is good, they have checklists for cleanliness by the toilet. I hope the staff and chef are paid well because they deserve it.

The staff are on hand constantly and the place itself is very clean and tables are cleaned straight away with dirty dishes taken away very quickly, very attentive & friendly staff. The menu has a very wide variety and there is a great mix of food from makhe de roti with saag to chicken kebabs and everything in between! The mixed pakoras and the makhe di roti with saag is our absolute favourite! We pop in for food every-time we are in Southall, the place is an absolute must to visit. The prices are very reasonable as well. Overall well worth the visit.

Went today as family and had papdi chaat (excellent), aloo paratha (good), sarson saag (nice and buttery), chole (ok) and naan (nice). Will be back to try something different!

This restaurant opened it doors in 1972 to serve the large Asian local community, over the years the place had been unkept whilst the prices and food was ok. It recently has undergone a major renovation bringing it forward by decades. The impressive plates cutlery and jugs, new tables and chairs. Each table is named after a major city in Punjab. The staff are attentive and all dressed in a uniform, the glass counters are all highly polished and very clean. The food was fresh hot and tasty, I recommend the vada pau for £1 an excellent vegetarian type burger made from vegetable and potatoes. There is a nice new toilet on the ground floor and the restaurant was clean and odour free. Well Done to the owners a great transformation has been carried out here. The sweets looked very enticing but I had to hold back due to my diabetes, thank you for a great lunch.

This restaurant has recently been renovated and is much nicer than it was. Still a bit tight on space but so much more appeasing to the eye! Visited on 11th February, Really really spicy n nice meal, perfect to our palates, we went in for afternoon lunch. ordered methi chicken, dall makhani, rashmi kabab, nan, roti and Samosa. Never had methi chicken like this before it was so nice and we even recommended the dish to other table and they loved it too. If anyone is looking for authentic spicy food, this is definitely the place to go.

The restaurant is overpacked with tables leaving no room to walk. I waited for a table for 15mins only to be told to wait another 15mins. When I asked the staff of when a table would be available he said there was no room till much later due to reservations. The staff were aware I was waiting but just did not want to tell me. Previous to this I had to get a takeaway from here and the meat tasted bland and nothing Indian about it.

Moti Mahal looks like just another Southall eating house, with formica tables, shabby decor and nothing the remotest bit trendy about it. However, the food is tasty, genuine, largely cooked to order, and those in the know say it's totally authentic. It's also very good value for money.

After a horrible experience at Chandi Chowk of having to walk out we went straight to Moti Mahal and the Staff greeted us, they were friendly, food came really fast and tasted delicious! Couldn't ask for any more.

Food here never fails to impress. I have visited this place since first visiting Southall years ago, maybe more than 10. Every time the food has been great. The style of the downstairs is pretty basic canteen style, and there are usually old bollywood movies plating over the counter which adds a cosiness to the place. Mithai is always good too, very fresh. Staff are nice and service it quick.

El lugar es un "hoyo en la pared" tipo de lugar, nada lujoso, pero la comida era excelente! ! Pedí vegetales batureh pakoreh y, chai - el tamaño de las porciones son abundantes, la comida era muy deliciosa, y era bastante caro y bastante barato. Las opciones del menú eran mucho, así que hay algo para todo el mundo, tanto vegetales y no vegetales. Sin duda recomendaría este lugar! ! :)

Fuimos un domingo por la tarde con un amigo. Ordenados de cilantro, Jalebi y Kulfi. Cilantro podría haber sido mucho mejor. También era sólo azúcar Jalebi - Azúcar y nada de sabor mientras Kulfi era buena.

Visited recently with some friends the place looks very shabby the floor sticky, very dark and the tables are no better.Service was slow had to keep asking for basic stuff eg serviettes.I shudder to think what the kitchens are like if the resturant is do shabby.

Pranzo ordinato e pagato online senza spese di consegna in questo ristorante indiano della zona. Consegnato in 40 minuti. Pietanze tipiche della cucina indiana abbastanza buone, molto piccanti! In aggiunta c'era una salsa altrettato piccante.

Visited on my way back from somewhere else as we always get our samosas from here . At £4 for 10 they are great value and are always tasty. They were freshly cooked and were hot when handed over .

As this was our first visit to this area after about 25 years, I made the mistake of asking an elderly Indian lady in the bus as to whether she knew any good restaurant in Southall for lunch. A serious mistake of course.As it was very cold and we were very hungry and as we started to walk along the Broadway looking for a place to eat, I was delighted to find this place as the name suggested by the lady stuck in my mind.We ordered a vegetarian set lunch and a non-vegetarian set lunch, priced at 6 and 7 pounds each.The food received for the vegetarian, all on one meal tray, was worth no more than one pound and not clean. A lump of a nut was sitting in the dhall, which was very badly prepared and could have easily broken my teeth. All what was provided was a table spoonful of yogurt, a few chappathies, if you can call them that, a portion of Dhall and a bit of fried cauliflower and a small cold portion of rice.. The salad was simply dirty, with something sticking on the piece of tomato in it.Had a stomach-ache for the rest of the afternoon and this must be the worst meal, I ever had.Not sure of the cleanliness of this place.

Visited the resturant for lunch time meal of channa bhatura. I was charged £5 for a tiny portion of channa ( less than half of what you get in other resturants) and two disgusting looking oily bhaturas which were stone hard. It seemed that the bhatura bread was days old and was refryed in oil.Moreover, the shape of the bahtura was elephant ear shaped as if a child had rolled it out. Ate bits of each bhatura while sharing with another family member for opinion in freshness, both fell sick afterwards. Only visit this resturant if you want to become sick.

Ambience is a bit old , requires modification , but the food covers for that. Awsome food , brings back the taste of india.

All the food arrived just over half hour so was very happy about that...then I found all the food arrived cold!! Phoned the restaurant who insisted it was all cooked fresh which I find hard to believe..As the food arrived quickly and was cold have to assume it was all,old food and cooked fresh had to throw it!!
