Mowgli Streetfood in Wirral

We arrived really early and they had room to seat us, 1st time at mowgli, our server olivia explained what it was all about, so we chose a couple of dishes, didn't wait long for the dishes to arrive, had a taste of them all and they were amazing, only criticism is the rice could of been hotter, however once mixed with curry it was hot

I know we are a bit late to the party but this was our first visit to a Mowgli ! I had high expectations and maybe that was a mistake. Despite very friendly service and tasty food, it wasn’t an experience we would repeat. We were seated next to the waiters’ station ( literally a few cm away!) so staff were continually right next to us entering info onto the system. There were other ( better positioned) tables free but we were asked to sit at this one. I thought the layout was rather traditional and unexciting. I had heard about swings ( a victim of Health and Safety?) but it was just a standard plan of tables. The food was tasty but rather overpriced. £9 for a small portion? As for the beer….. £5.25 for a small bottle? We agree with others about the automatic addition of service and charity donation not being great, although the charity donation was clearly explained to us and we agreed to it before we knew that service would automatically be added too. In fairness, the service was efficient and friendly but we are unlikely to return because of the atmosphere/seating and price. Can’t help feeling Mowgli is relying on hype to an extent.

Mackenzie nos sirvió esta noche y ella era acogedor y amable durante toda la noche. Nada fue demasiado problema y marcó una diferencia real en nuestra experiencia. La comida aquí era absolutamente delicioso. Elegimos una variedad de cosas en el menú entre 6 amigos y todos estábamos muy impresionados con todos los diferentes platos que nos trajeron. ¡Buenos cócteles también! Gracias. Fue a cenar para 3 personas, la comida era increíble. El servicio fue rápido, eficiente y amable. A pesar de estar muy ocupado, el servicio seguía siendo muy atento. Una mención especial a nuestro servidor Andy. Era el cumpleaños de mi padre, sin embargo, no pusimos esto en las notas de reserva ni lo hicimos demasiado obvio que no fuera 1 tarjeta en la mesa. Andy nos sorprendió con un postre y vela al final de nuestra comida, sin ninguna solicitud. Un toque muy especial a una comida ya encantadora. Gracias Andy y equipo, volveremos!

Una de las mejores comidas que he tenido en siglos, fuimos por el plato de compartir, bombas de yogur, pollo a la pólvora, arroz, plato de patata, 3 currys diferentes y panes planos y helado. Las bombas de yogur eran excepcionales, frescas con una suave especia después de unos segundos. Los currys eran deliciosos, buena mezcla de verduras, carne y pollo. precio razonable en el vino, y el servicio era de primera calidad.

Loved the atmosphere, food, and amazing staff! Mowgli Street Food on Bold Street is an absolute gem when it comes to atmosphere and service. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. However, I did find the portion sizes on the smaller side, so keep that in mind if you’re extra hungry! Now, about the drinks—£5.25 for a 330ml beer? At that price, I thought maybe it was brewed by a Shaolin monk at the top of a sacred mountain! And don’t forget the 12.5% optional service charge and £1 charity donation, which sneak onto the bill like a stealthy ninja. Overall, a great experience, but be ready for a few extra surprises with the bill!

Super food, excellent service. The mark of great customer service is what an outlet does when they make a mistake. We're vegetarians, but the first dish that came out... the waitress spotted it was wrong and contained chicken!!! After a replacement and two other similarly great tasting dishes, I asked for the bill. 'No bill Sir, it's been scrubbed, because of our mistake. We are so sorry!' Diamonds. We'll be back to Mowgli!

Das Essen in diesem indischen Restaurant ist geschmacklich wirklich hervorragend – authentisch und voller Aromen. Leider waren die Portionen etwas zu klein, sodass man nach dem Essen noch nicht richtig satt ist. Wenn die Portionsgröße angepasst wird, wäre es perfekt!

Had Anna as our server tonight and was the perfect end to my families trip up to Liverpool. As someone who works in the industry, I understand what stress a busy night can bring. But anna was exceptional from the service to her personality

Firstly I would like to say I have the recipe book and it is fantastic. I was really looking forward to going to the restaurant today to try the food. My husband and I ordered our drinks and both had the street Food Menu. They first served three dishes which were lovely, then half way through they brought out all the other dishes, so the table was amass with food. There was zero communication between any of the staff and ourselves. They then cleared the dishes away and within two minutes ice cream was dumped on the table, promptly followe by the bill. Se paid 90 pounds for lunch and the whole experience was exactly one hour from start to finish. They were not busy. I can not complain about the food but the whole experience left us both feeling very indifferent and would definitely not want to go back to this restaurant. There did not seem to be anybody in charge to talk to just two young members of staff.

Yes it’s good in here …you can’t go wrong and there wasn’t any problems or things that could be done better, maybe a bigger bottle of beer but yeah foods great and service decent

This is my second time to this restaurant and have also visited the sister one in Liverpool. I love the food and staff are fantastic. I was even given a birthday dessert treat. However the only thing that left a bad taste in my husband’s mouth was the price of small can of beer… 330ml , £4.80. My wine was reasonably priced but I was so disappointed about the price of the beer. Unnecessarily expensive given that you can buy them for £1 a can in the supermarket.

Went for lunch today, staff were great and helped us select our food as not sure what to order, we went with sticky chicken and a couple of curries and what a great choice the food was excellent and will definitely come back. My only issue is the automatic service charge which you can decline but in my opinion should not be put on, we always leave a reasonable tip if we feel the service and food warrants it in this case we did leave a tip

We’ve eaten at Mowgli on bold street twice recently and both times were lovely. It was great to try the different dishes on the menu. The chat bombs and the mowgli panier were amazing. We loved the décor and the staff were so friendly especially Ellie. We will be returning.

Fabulous food, great service and value for money. You have to try the yoghurt chat bombs, they are something else. Angry bird with fantastic slaw was great. Bunny Chow was very original. The bread might put you off but it worked really well and was light given how much there was.

Magical return to one of Liverpool's favourite restaurants. The fact you can now book mowgli bold street was actually really helpful. Good service, yoghurt bombs, cheese toast, dynamite chicken, a couple of house curries, a Goan fish curry and a couple of coke zero's made for an exceptionally pleasant lunch and surprise surprise a decent business chat to boot - food is great, people are lovely - all in all a brilliant experience...

Mowgli is very popular. There was no availability on the Friday, but we managed to book a table for the Saturday evening, for a later time than we would have liked, but we are so pleased that we went. The restaurant was busy, the staff attentive and friendly and the food delicious. Our server explained the way the menu works (small tiffin style dishes) and that dishes would be served when ready, rather than starters, mains etc. The selection we ordered, all from the vegetarian selection, were really tasty. Mowgli is a bit more expensive than a traditional Indian restaurant, but it is a bit different!

Not overly impressed, you can get just as decent a meal at a good curry house for half the price. A glass of red wine was almost £11 & a pint of larger was almost £10.
