Food is OK but the time in-between courses is insane. Went in for lunch and spent over 3hrs in there. Won't be going back.

Last minute New Year's Eve family meal Have been a couple of times before and always happy. Today felt a bit more special, food ,service,atmosphere all excellent Even the bill was very reasonable for New Year's Eve !! Keep up the good work team Mr Lau's 10/10

We had a fantastic meal here, great service, great ambiance and beautiful food. The waitress told us of the offer for 4 dim sum for £20, so we ordered 8 different dim sum between 2 of us and each one was delicious!We were attentively seen by both the bar staff and our friendly waitress. All the food was brought out at once and about 10 minutes after ordering! For the 8 dim sum and 3 soft drinks each came for just over £60 and for the quality of the food felt this was very reasonable!

Came here because they have a Gluten free menu it was my birthday as a coeliac I don’t get Chinese food often. I asked the staff what was coeliac safe they rushed me off and seemed to not care one told me the wings were GF which had GF next to it but the next server told me the Chefs said this GF stated item was not GF I was then told the calamari and sweet and sour chicken was GF. 2 hours later when I got home I threw up the whole meal and was throwing up on my birthday for 3 hours straight all because they did not care about allergies. if your coeliac do NOT come here. The menu is lies it was not worth the days of illness afterwards

Just enjoyed a really delicious meal at Mr Lau's. The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone - the service was impeccable, incredibly polite and friendly staff. Being able to see the chefs at work is a real treat and the decor is very modern and feels quite fancy! I'm a bit fussy when it comes to ramen (I chose the spicy seafood ramen) and although it was delicious, I would've liked the broth to have a bit more depth and taste a bit more seafood-y but aside from that it was delicious and very satisfying - will be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

Been here a couple of times with my partner and it has never disappointed. The dim sum, starters, soups, and mains have always been fantastic and the atmosphere itself is beautiful. The staff do an excellent job of showing their gratitude for your service and are always courteous and attentive.

Very disappointed, I recommended the restaurant to my bowling friends. Service was slow, food was very average and overpriced. I have been here before at lunchtime and it was so much better. Won't be recommending this restaurant again.

I attended Mr Laus with 5 other friends for an early Christmas night out. I have attended many times before but will not be returning again. The night we attended was a quiet Tuesday evening. We were rushed through our meal, staff waiting with coats on to go home at 10pm, while we were still finishing drinks. The restaurant has an offer of 2 bottles of house wine for £30 and we were told that they do not have any house wine. They did then provide 2 bottles of wine on the offer but then later when we asked for another 2 bottles they said it was only 1 offer per table, which is also incorrect. The food was okay but way overpriced.

Food tasted amazing and there was something for everyone. We absolutely loved it and would probably come back again soon. Food was cooked and prepared very quickly. The only problem I have is that they charge £5 for the curry boat but it's really small, which I felt was a bit of a rip off. If it was bigger or a bit cheaper (and therefore more reasonable), I would have definitely given 5 stars. I also had to wait a while for a staff member to be available but it was a really busy night.

The food was nice but extremely expensive for what it was. By the standards of a usual Chinese, this place is nice and the food is all very strong, but for the cost they're asking it simply doesn't live up to the asking price.

(3.5 stars) Visiting Mr. Lau’s for the first time left me somewhat disappointed, to be honest. Although the service was friendly, there was quite a long wait before we were served. The portions of dim sum were quite small considering their prices. We ordered paper wrapped prawns that were supposed to be served with a dipping sauce, but they did not, and we only got chilli oil after asking for it. Last but not least, one of the fortune cookies we got was damp and also part of it was gone (even the paper was gone!) I might re-visit but not anytime soon

Absolutely lovely place, gorgeous atmosphere. We shared the hong kong tasting platter between two, it was lovely and just enough! We also took a recommendation from the waiter Chris for dessert who looked after us very well, went above and beyond as did Jack, two fantastic staff members who were funny and sociable and clearly amazing at their job! We will definitely be back to book the chefs table… thankyou!

Visited Mr laus for a meal with my husband. Booked in advance and had no problems with the seating however I did not specify where to be sat and I was unaware that some of the tables were high. We would have preferred a low table. The food was amazing, we decided to order from the early dining menu and we ate everything. Service was good staff very friendly. will be returning. Highly recommend

My wife and I met up with my younger brother & sister to celebrate mums heavenly birthday. We had celebrated her birthday here several times before she passed & thought it would be nice. The menu has changed significantly since our last visit. The staff were great, explaining how the new menu worked. We ordered a round of drinks and looked at the menus in detail. Ordering our soup, starters and mains we chatted until our first course arrived. The soup was delicious and hot. Our starters were divine and our mains were absolutely great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal together and the service provided was exceptional. Part way through we ordered more drinks & by the time we had finished we were the last people in the restaurant. At no stage did we feel rushed, we were allowed to enjoy our food and each other’s company until we were ready to leave. A great night, with amazing food. We will return…

Absolutely epic dining experience. Such a massive choice of dishes, everything cooked to perfection and friendly staff. An excellent works night out with customers. Update 18th October... another night out with our best customers. Service was slow tonight, because of staffing issues, but the guys who were waiting on did an absolutely brilliant job of coping in adverse circumstances. They were polite, good humoured, and got the job done as best they could. Full marks from me 😎👍

The crab croquettes were not very nice, luke warm and gooey. I suspect they are frozen. They tasted odd. The mains we ordered were both very nice and plentiful. The waitresses were all very nice and helpful. The price was a little steep.

Very disappointed. Service was slow and indifferent. We sat with just rice for ages before the meals came. Prawn crackers - tiny portion to share between 3 people. Soup was completely tasteless - like hot water. £7 extra for a side of roughly 10 chips! Small portions. Overpriced. Approx £50 each for a less than average meal. The menu is so vast. Should concentrate on doing fewer dishes really well. Also pricing or portion size needs looking at. Nice place for drinks and dim sum at the bar. Better places to eat in Warrington. My advice is to be well aware of all the extras before ordering. Mains are around £18 to £25 plus an extra £6 or £7 for rice or chips. Choose one main meal and don't bother with starters. We were a party of 5. No one really enjoyed their meal and left hungry. Bland. At best it was average. Had better.

Extremely average at best. Set dinner. Crackers tasted stale. Soup ok. Ribs inedible. Steak satay no flavor. Non set menu looked good enough. Some dishes boiling. Some cold.

Nice food and atmosphere as usual, but unfortunately the prices on the menu are just way too high for what you get therefore I unfortunately stopped going as much as I used to. Will definitely return again but only when there is an offer on otherwise it is just too expensive for what you get. Would be 5 stars if it was not for the astronomic prices. Food quality of takeaway while prices are astronomical.

Hubby and I are regular visitors and yesterday enjoyed the lunchtime offer, adding duck to our choice. Staff attentive, food delicious and open kitchen so you can see dishes being cooked. We’ll definitely be back.

Came here for a family meal. Could have got the same quality of food at a local takeaway for a fraction of the price. Atmosphere was good in the place and the staff was friendly enough. The toilets were not clean, and the bins were overflowing with paper towels in the mens toilets. The food is a little overpriced for what it is, in my opinion. However, I think if you're in town and on a night out and fancy a meal beforehand and don't mind spending, this is the place for you. Good location.

Very disappointed over priced chip shop food £100 for two people . All deep fried rubbish place looked good lots of staff but food rubbish bland deep fried cooks not ( chefs ) would I recommend of go again ((((( sorry never ever

I visited this place for food with family on a Saturday Evening and it was extremely poor. The food was very poor quality and did not taste the best . I sent my main back and swapped it which unfortunately was no better. The restaurant and bar was very quiet with no atmosphere. In summary I'm not sure if this has changed ownership as it is the first time in a few years I have visited and will definitely not be back. Unfortunately in my opinion there are now many nicer places to eat in Warrington especially with the prices being expensive here.

Side dish was missed, overpriced for chinese fair.

Today, a family of six had an early dinner, and everything was very delicious. The only reason was that the pine nut fish was cut incorrectly, and I had to go back to the kitchen to add a little more heat after going on stage. I guess it’s because the food culture of the Orientals and the British is different. The requirements are different!

Chinese is my favourite food and Mr Lau's is my favourite Chinese restaurant. The food is so good I can't stop eating even when I know I'm full. Staff are always attentive and polite. We had messed up our booking but the concierge was very understanding and managed to squeeze us in despite the restaurant being very busy. I love the vibe in here, deep house beats with spacious vocals gently pumping away in the background ever so subtly increasing in volume as the evening progresses. Not cheap, typically around £50 per person for two courses and drinks but always the perfect treat!

We went a lot to this place last year as a couple for are dates- we haven’t been again this year with being so busy with life , but I’m just giving some reviews I’ve missed to do. As me and my partner are foodies we love to give good feed back about food and not so good if we don’t enjoy it. This place is so unquie . We love coming for food - we have to be in the mood tho, but we do love the range of food they offer here as we love different food , you have a cocktail bar down stairs called Emily’s which we usually go into first , then make are way up stairs for food, the food is just unreal and you can watch everything being cooked as the kitchen it open too see, dim sum is made fresh, we love the dim sum here , better then being abroad . The cocktails up stairs are also amazing . We love the range of food they service on the menu - food has much flavour - nice and calm and relaxing feel inside too!

Wonderful decor and friendly efficient staff, helpful in choosing our menu and wine choices.The food was wonderful,nicely presented and super tasty We had a mixed steamed and crunchy dim sum starter and salt and pepper spare ribs. For main course we had a duck dish, sea bass, and prawn noodles all were and fresh and the portions were so big we took doggy bags home.

Food was bland, not a great choice of wine. Had to send 1 meal back it was disappointing. Over priced for what we had will NOT be returning. By 9.30pm the place was empty which explains it all.

Visited for the early diners deal, it’s a fantastic offer with choices that suited all of our family. Food was piping hot, cooked fresh in the open plan kitchen. Staff were very friendly and attentive, in particular Catherine who served us. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Been a regular here for years and put up with the expensive prices and frequent missing or wrong orders as the food was good but recently the food has gone down hill. If it’s not cold then it tastes like crap. Will stick to my local for better food and cheaper too.

Food was good but ridiculously expensive. £5 for a side of plain rice you have to order alongside your main otherwise you would just get meat and sauce. Staff were also really nice

An unexpected visit. It was absolutely wonderful. Food and service was brilliant, great portions, great quality, would easily recommend and definitely would go back.

I have reviewed Mr Laus before however I am such a regular I feel it deserves an update! My Husband and I often come here for dimsum on a Sunday. It's always excellent. We order far too much, take a doggy bag home and then pass out on the sofa in a food coma! My favourite is the siu long bao, my Husbands is the char siu cheung fun (you don't often see this on menus). Others that are top notch are the prawn toast, fan gor, har gau, siu mai.... however all of it is really really good. We usually order a (not from!) singapore vermicelli also and it's honestly the best I've had - I have lived in Hong Kong and I think Mr Laus Singapore Vermicelli beats any I had there hands down. Service is always really friendly and we like sitting in the bar area as the atmosphere is good. It's not as cheap as other Chinese resraurants but it's worth it.

We booked in advance to ensure a table as it’s really popular. Service was so quick and the staff were really accommodating and lovely, can’t praise them enough. Food was incredible, I’ve never had a bad meal there - the beef and pork belly were cooked to perfection, and the wonton soup was served piping hot. Amazing place, wonderful staff and beautiful food!

Ordered take away and paid restaurant rates, £56 for 2 main courses and 3 plain rice. Food was excellent, I would recommend the restaurant but advise against what is an expensive takeaway.

What a great place. Food was excellent and the staff very attentive. We had the lunchtime ‘set’ menu that had a good range to pick from ….the Korean chicken was superb - well in fact it was all superb.

Visited for the very first time and wasn’t disappointed. Lovely staff and service, service was extremely quick might be nice to have a bit of a gap between courses, also food was very tasty but slightly over salted dishes as not used to personally so much salt, still tasty though restaurant is very dimly lit so hard to read menus lol a bit more lighting needed around tables will definitely return but just a few areas need addressing

Went last night for a birthday meal. They sang happy birthday and lit candles on a cake for us, which was lovely of them to do. Staff very attentive and lovely with us, including the children with their annoying orders. Nothing was too much trouble. 50% off mains was good as we ordered plenty of food. We took leftovers home in takeaway containers with no fuss. Only issue we had was no lift, so was a bit difficult for less able bodied in the group to do the stairs, but they triumphed and we had a lovely meal. They also made the kids feel special with Nutella spring rolls which went down a treat and made others who didn't come out very jealous.

The Christmas lunch banquet was lovely! Great portion sizes for the prices, we almost couldn’t finish because we were so full :) Delish food for such a great price. Great service and atmosphere

We visited this restaurant a few weeks ago, the service was slow which we expected during a busy weekend however, the service from staff was not what we expected. I ordered the honey chicken and I could have just made it at home, it was just dry chicken nuggets in a sticky sauce. For the food was of poor quality and yet such a high price. On another table we seen what appeared the manager spill a tray of expresso martinis over a woman.

Like mr laus but not today left us for half a hour for dessert and then came up and asked us to leave as people were coming in 2mins if they had given us our dessert on time we would of left early if it is this bad this week what is going to be next week and we have been this time of the year before and its been great

Excellent food at very reasonable prices

Lovely family meal. The food was brilliant and there is such a wide range on the menu. The atmosphere was great and the restaurant looks incredible. Didn't realise that 12.5% gratuity was automatically added which took total to nearly £500. We didn't get a birthday cake/song despite asking for one when four others did.

Never been here before but went with a friend who recommended it. Superb Hoi Tin lunch, lots of choice. We paid extra for the duck which was delicious. Hot and sour soup delicious and we had chicken satay which were succulent and sauce very authentic....
