Nando's in Salford

On Wednesday evening, my wife, child, mother-in-law, and I visited this branch, and we had an extremely disappointing experience. Even though there were more than two hours left until the restaurant’s closing time, we were seated in an area we didn’t prefer. When we requested a different table, we were told that other areas had already been cleaned and were not available for use. While I have no complaints about the quality of the food, I am deeply upset with the behavior of the staff. Their actions embarrassed me in front of my mother-in-law. During our meal, a female staff member approached us with an inappropriate tone, saying she needed to take the sauce bottles from our table because they needed to be cleaned. Without hesitation, she removed the bottles right in the middle of our meal and replaced them with sachets of sauce. We were all shocked by this behavior, and I became very upset. However, out of respect for my mother-in-law, I refrained from confronting the staff at the time, as I didn’t want to ruin her experience as our guest. To make matters worse, after we finished eating, new customers arrived and were seated at the very table we had initially requested. It is beyond frustrating to understand why we weren’t allowed to sit there earlier. And does the staff also tell new customers they can’t use sauce bottles because it’s “too late”? This excuse makes no sense, especially since there was still an hour left before the restaurant closed after we had finished our meal. On a positive note, the gentleman who took our order was very polite and respectful, and we appreciated his professionalism. That said, my wife and I are extremely disappointed with the overall experience, especially the behavior of that female staff member. I would not recommend this branch of Nando’s to anyone.

went out for a quick meal, ended up receiving g excellent service from Edward, never had such a pleasant experience, he was very charming and confident and made our experience one to remember! will definitely be returning again and recommending to our friends 🩵

We have visited on new years day with my friend for lunch. We were the first one in restaurant and Edward was absolutely incredible. Very welcoming and friendly We had a chat about dr martens shoes. It got pretty busy during our stay and he continue to pay attention to all customers and delivering amazing customer service while staying calm in very busy place. Great asset to the restaurant

The food at this Nandos branch is always brilliant. But the absolute highlight of my visit was speaking with Edward. He is a gem, so funny and kind. I never felt so valued in any restaurant in my life (and this is no exaggeration). I hope he is as valued as a member of staff as he made me and my friend feel! ❤️

i have to say, absolute average. i ordered a 1/2 chicken with chips and some rice, have to say that chicken didn't taste the best and it all wasn't really great if i'm honest, fast service however just a shame the food wasn't the best, hoping to try out some new places with my wife whilst im in manchester.

this is a great place for lunch. the staff are lovely and have great manners and can have a good laugh with the lady! definitely would come if you need a nice place to eat out with a friend.

I have been visiting this Nandos store since 2013/2014 when I did my masters at Salford Uni. However I visited again recently in October 2024, the food still amazing. But they need to improve on the cleanliness of the space as it was untidy, even the table I was given was dirty I had to sit on the next one beside it. Since it’s quite a big store, the management should find a way for it to be neat and tidy.

Normally I don't leave reviews for major chain restaurants but reason I wanted to leave a review for this particular Nandos branch is because of Edward. He went above and beyond for us. He has a pleasant manner about him and treated us very respectfully. He deserves recognition for going beyond of what is required of him at Nandos.

We were seated by Edward who was so friendly and welcoming, it set the tone for a lovely meal :)

Let's forget the chicken for a moment and talk about Edward. What a lovely guy! Polite, professional, and all-around nice person. He really made our experience that extra special with his presence. 11 out of 10 Chicken was good 👍

Really accommodating and had chance to relax on a comfy seat in a window setting. Chicken thighs were juicy and a perfect solo lunch. Eric was a really nice guy and made sure I had everything I needed and was super friendly. Thanks nandos!

The most impressive Nando’s I’ve had, did have to wait a little while for food but not the longest I’ve had to wait to be fair. However, we were apologised to for the wait a couple of times & updates as to how long it would/what was going on. Throughout the customer service was second to none. Fab☺️

Staff very rude, quite bothered by the costumers. We asked a plate of wings that came back pretty much all burnt. Very unhappy with the way they treated us and about the food, we love Nanods so the main issue was actually just the stuff.

Another great Nando’s, but what impressed me most was that despite how busy it was both Edward and his colleague Beth, who were front of house, worked hard but smoothly and elegantly to ensure guests were seated promptly and had everything they needed. Quality was not affected, and well done to the Chefs too! This is what great customer experience looks like! 5 stars all round!!

Great restaurant as the staff are superb. Christian the server who greeted and served us was top drawer. Just a a good lad, doing a good job. Great to see when on a busy shift.

Yet again, Nando's does it again, with tasty food and great service. Still has to be rated as the most consistent food brand around, apart from the one in Cheshire Oaks.

Edward is an absolute gem. We watched first hand (we sat at the entrance) as he handled long queues to the restaurant during rush hour. He never dropped down his level of professionalism and served everyone with a smile and positive attitude. Top stars!

Absolute delightful experience. This place has good seating arrangements, which can accommodate more ppl hence the wait time is reasonable. Staffs are polite and friendly, serving is pretty fast. As always they served delicious food, chickpea burger with spicy chips is my favourite. This place is slightly near to the parking lot and next to the quay side mall.

We was in Manchester from London for a corrie visit weekend, and on the Monday we decided to visit nandos here and so glad we did. The food was great n cooked to perfection but what made it great was the service we received as a family. Kyle was lovely and warm and helpful. Also a big special mention for Ellie, I had to ask her name towards the end of our meal. Her attention to detail and her outstanding service was really lovely to receive and she will go very far, definitely management material im sure. I can't recommend this nandos enough for the genuine warmth n friendliness we received from Kyle and Ellie, also from 2 other members of staff (we didn't know their names) well done salford quays nandos- best service we have ever had in 1 of your restaurants.

Manager Sam is an credit to Nandos Salford. Professional and hard working. I watched Sam work non stop to service us customers with a smile on her face. I had a slight issue with my food order, but the manager promptly resolved it. The customer service was excellent, and the staff were very respectful.

I frequently visit Nando’s media city, and wanted to give a big shoutout to Sam (who is one of the managers), she always has a smile on her face and makes you feel super welcome. There have been countless occasions where she has gone above and beyond to ensure I’m happy with the meal. Keep up the good work, Sam! 👏🏽

You can’t go wrong with a Nando’s, they’ve mastered the recipe and most times I go they have it spot on. I was served by a friendly server called Edward, very nice and made the dine out experience even better. I even noticed that he was managing every thing around him in a calm manner, certainly could see him as a team lead/manager. We initially wanted to eat after watching a Lowry show but it was incredibly busy as Nandos seemed to be first choice for many. I didn’t want to feel rushed so instead I walked around for hour before looping back at about 1pm. Service and food was great (thanks to Edward and the chefs) which is why I don’t mind waiting at all, always satisfied when leaving. As popular as Nando’s is, this particular place would certainly benefit from knowing the public Lowry show schedule so that they have more staff working around these hours. The show I went to runs at 11am and 2pm every day for 11 days but there is a different play that shows at these times as well, so as expected there will be a surge of people coming to dining establishments after a show. To balance out the work load and ensure there are enough staff members working during these busy hours, I would advise more staff as I noticed there were some people who walked off to other places when the wait for a table would be too long here, big factor being low staff.

Come here a lot and the staff are always absolutely superb. If you stop by ask for Edward, the guy's puns are on point 🤌

Nando's not good anymore, we know what we get when we want to eat in a budget nationwide chain, but a while ago this place will get you a decent meal, yesterday was beyond disappointing, leaving a feeling of, we don't care anymore, we are here for the profit, and profit margin it's a problem this days with the current cost of produce and everything else. Our food took way too long to get to our table, when arrived...it felt like it was under the hot lights at the pass for 20 minutes, soggy chips, lukewarm, dry quarter chicken I have ever seen, really small, I thought I was having pigeon. The chicken burger same story, dry tough chicken, 2 chicken thighs, one small and the other one I refuse to believe that there's such a small chicken in this world, all looked absolutely sad and ridiculous in the plate. Only if you own personally a place serving food like this you will feel ashamed of what you have achieved, chains don't care because people keep coming for more, my humble advice would be, don't fall asleep as bigger companies have failed after years of success

Reasonable price, free refills on drinks, staff were friendly will definitely be going back.

Large takeaway order for 30 people the team were fantastic and accommodating and went out of their way to help and ensure we had everything we needed. Big shout out the management team on the day (chap and lady sorry forgot your names) were very helpful and polite!

My husband and I went to Nando’s for a meal on Saturday lunchtime before going to the theatre. It was a very tasty meal and the service was excellent, the young staff members looked after us and made sure we had a great experience we are both in our 80s and really appreciated their care and attention.

We visited last night and were sat down quickly into a table that fitted more than 3 of us so not cramped onto a small table. The food and drinks were delivered quickly and the plates were taken away promptly. They checked on us to see if the meal was ok. Having eaten the mains I cocked up the order for desert and managed to reorder all the mains again. Sam (who I think was the shift manager) quickly dealt with it and got it all refunded. Great service when mistakes happen

Really friendly and welcoming staff and manager. When alerted to allergies/intolerances, they were very careful to make sure the food was prepared and served carefully. The food was served promptly, excellent serving sizes and a good choice of options. Delicious and good value. Thanks for your help and we will be back when in Manchester.

An amazing place to come and eat. Very comfortable and extremely friendly staff, Phil in particular made our visit wonderful, he went the extra mile simply because we chatted and I mentioned I had a busy day and was tired. As a manager, personally taking care of your customers is top-level customer service and deserves to be recognised. The entire staff team were great, I only caught Phil and Lucy's names but everyone deserves the praise, the food was fantastic, the place was clean and tidy, the atmosphere was friendly and multiple staff members came to take care of any of our needs. We will absolutely be back as soon as we're able.

I love coming here because of the location and who doesn’t love a Nando’s. The food at this location isn’t the best but it’s made up for by Kaz. She’s so lovely every single time I come in without fail. She probably wouldn’t remember my face so I know she’s like this with everyone. People like this keep businesses going!

Stumbled across the place a couple of years ago when looking for somewhere to eat before the football. The service was excellent along with the food as well. Can highly recommend a visit, been a couple of time's since our first visit also. Excellent!

Where do i start…. The little boy from Clifton has done it again!!! I had the pleasure of being served by Zion at Nandos, and I must say, it was an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we were seated until the last bite, Zion provided top-notch service. Their attention to detail, warm demeanor, and extensive knowledge of the menu elevated our meal to new heights. It’s always a good idea nando’s!

food was nice… however when we ordered our sides came out 20 minutes before our chicken. We complained about this and was told management would come speak to us about it however he never did. We were only given an apology and by the time our chicken came out our sides were cold. Very disappointing.

Fantastic food and wonderful service even on a busy Saturday, all staff were warm and friendly especially Christian who was very friendly and attentive, an asset to the company. Would’ve liked to have left them a tip but couldn’t leave one on card. 10/10 as always.

Great speedy service. Seated so quickly and was asked about allergens straight away. The manager there had a great handle on things and staff were all working solidly and making sure customers were happy. Food arrived way faster than expected. This is a really good branch.

I visited here yesterday, they were steadily busy, I mean nothing crazy! Not every table full! And the service was ridiculous! The staff looked at you mindlessly when you came in, not even a smile. No attitude of wanting to help. We then proceeded to wait about half an hour for one main, which is no biggie I understand, I work in the industry myself. My friends main then took another 20 minutes to come out, and it was only when I went up to complain that they brought it. No check backs, even though we had already complained. The food was FREEZING!!! The burger wasn’t even how I ordered it! At the point my friend had got her food we had 10 minutes before the car park ran out!! So we couldn’t even finish it as it took them 50 MINUTES to bring her main. No compensation, I want our bloody money back!!!

We visited Nando’s for quick meal before Black Pumas concert. The food was good, three of us had vegetarian options. These were nice wraps and burger. Drinks were served quickly. There was good friendly busy atmosphere in there too. Christian the server was exceptional. He was what we remember the most! He was lovely. We would recommend and will return hopefully.

Overall nice enough very clean however there was a staff member who complained to our teacher as we our students, the staff member in question got our order wrong multiple times so obviously we would be a bit annoyed the other staff were nice

Stayed in premier inn media city 5 mins walk away , staff friendly and welcoming , seated quickly , and food arrived and was very nice .
