La comida era muy buena y llegó a un ritmo constante. El personal era hablador, aunque un joven era un camarero muy nervioso, tal vez su primer turno. Pero súper útil. Una encantadora comida de Nochebuena. Llevamos viniendo aquí unos 40 años, los padres siempre nos llevaban de niños, así que siempre esperamos ir y no decepciona. El precio era tan caro como en cualquier otro lugar.

Great food, quick service reasonably priced

We're over the moon to have finally found an amazing Chinese restaurant in Liverpool - best one we've had in the city. The service was brilliant, all the food came within 10 minutes and the staff were lovely. The only con was the noise - group of people next to us were very jolly, and we could barely hear each other!

It's like the old fashion Chinese restaurants which are fab. So welcoming and the food is so tasty and plenty of it.

The best Chinese in Liverpool. Great food, I recommend Banquet C. Nice chilled atmosphere and staff always so friendly. I can't fault this place. Have been many times.

The New Capital used to be my go to restaurant in China Town when I lived and worked in the city. I returned after 20 years and found it to be virtually unchanged with the same family still running it. We we greeted with a warm welcome as soon as we entered and the food and service were excellent. Highly recommended if you want to experience authentic Chinese food in a family run restaurant.

My own jaw dropped when the waitress snatched the drink menu out of my boyfriend’s hands, he was clearly looking to order something but not after that. She threw it back on the table so he could make a decision but at that point, we’re not spending any extra money here. The same waitress brought a tray of waters and literally pushed it into my arm on the table to make room for the tray. Unsure if it was racism as some of our group is black, or if she truly had depth dimension issues. Small restaurant, everyone’s voice carries so hard to hear your own table. Food was less than stellar, perhaps it was the bad taste in my mouth from the nasty service. Super unhappy we spent any amount of time here.

Some staff clearly do not like Black people. Waitress was very rude and short with our group. Made it a point to constantly bump into those of us sittef near thr aisle. The other staff definitely attempted to recover the situation, but ultimately cannot recommend. Avoid if possible. Food was slightly above average, but nothing to write home about. Lots of other Chinese food options nearby. 2 stars becuase the food was decent.

I dined here on a chilly rainy Thursday night . it was a little chilly but the dishes warmed me up rather well they were warm and moist and full of flavour . the chairs could have been been a little softer as I left with an aching back but overall great

Visité la ciudad de China hoy a las 4 pm, este fue prácticamente el único lugar abierto. Es el comienzo de la semana más fresca, así que la zona está muy ocupada. Una cálida bienvenida china Scouse de todo el personal que nos atendió y nos hizo sentir como habituales a pesar de nunca visitar antes. Pronto se dio cuenta de que Charlie el chico estaba empezando Uni y lo hicieron muy bienvenido. Tuvimos el banquete para 3 y fue muy bueno. Todo caliente y sabroso fresco. Tamaños de porción buenos también. La sopa agria caliente fue fabulosa. ¡Las costillas de repuesto se derritieron en la boca! Pato y tortitas fabuloso. Tanta comida que tuvimos que llevar muchos de los platos principales a casa con nosotros. Bebidas a un precio razonable también. No habíamos reservado, pero el lugar se llenó rápidamente. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante y volveremos pronto.

The most excellent restaurant service - first class amazing.

they managed to squeeze us in a party of 15 at short notice on a Saturday evening. A hostess owner was extremely diligent friendly and extremely organised. Fantastic service cannot be faulted very friendly. food was good, I opted for a quarter duck as a starter and then went on to have a rice noodle soup.

Food absolutely tasteless, no atmosphere, dull decor 1960s style, never go back,only light side staff pleasant.

Just dropped in as we were very hungry. This was a great place and certainly as good as any we have eaten in London’s Gerard Street.

I've Had Two Good Chinese Meal's Here in The New Capital Chinese Restaurant On Nelson Street in China Town Liverpool Merseyside Chicken Fried There On Friday 12th April 2024 And Had A Beef Soap With Noodles Today On Tuesday 16th April 2024 And I Enjoyed It 😉

A very good Chinese. my partner was able to eat great tofu dish. I had sliced fillet beef with green peppers and oyster sauce - perfect a must on first visit. Great service and atmosphere.

You won't find a better Chinese than here I've eaten at alot of places and this takes the piss out of them all Loads of people rave about the north garden.... Trust me this is well better..

Most horrifying experience of my life. Chicken was pink. Staff was horrible with disgusting attitude. As for the manger, I have never met such a rude and incompetent person in my life. I highly suggest you do not go.

I've been looking for a place to have the roast duck. So, I've been to a few chinese restaurants before this one where I experienced racism, and poor service. Well, this one is no exception.

We visited for my son’s 9th birthday with a large family group. The staff were lovely and accommodating, the food was delicious and it was a lovely evening just as we had hoped.

Very authentic cantonese style restaurant located in chinatown. The crispy noodles is the must order in this restaurant and i would just go there and order this noodles. Amazing noodles. As for the singaporean stir fry noodles, it is too salty and the noodles is kind of stick together. Salt and pepper siu mai is also too salty. However i am really impressed by the crispy noodles so is still a 5 stars. I hope they can improve by cooking with less salt for the dishes. And the price is very cheap!

This is just the best restaurant - the food was excellent. We chose to come to the New Capital for my birthday - no regrets.

Came here a few times and had an amazing meal every time! The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, I’ve tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in Liverpool and this is by far the best. My favourite things to order is the king do ribs, hot and sour soup is a must try and the curry beef.

If you’re looking for good Chinese food this place is it. We stopped in as we are staying close and loved everything we had. We got salt and pepper chicken and shrimp, shrimp curry and chicken spring rolls. Everything was excellent. Service was lovely as well and they have full bar menu! Recommend if you’re craving Chinese food while in Liverpool.

Because I was on my own, they told me that my table had been reserved (despite there having been no "reserved" card on my arrival) in order to kick me out so that they could make money on the other 3 seats.

Called last minute and the very friendly lady found us a table. The staff were so nice one was especially chatty with my little girl. The food was amazing so fresh my favourite was the duck and pancakes 5*

Fran and apologies for not knowing the names of the other family/staff members are amazingly friendly, this restaurant is fantastic whether you are with friends or family, we've been there with both and they really made a fuss of my granddaughter, The food is of a really high standard in quality, presentation, choice and I've not experienced Chinese food in Liverpool any better than the New Capital.

Went for a meal for my wife's birthday, 8th May 2023. Meal was gorgeous, no complaints whatsoever.

The food was okay, but reminded me of something I would get at a buffet instead of a dish I ordered.

Without doubt, the best Chinese restaurant in Liverpool. Service and food alway first class. Make sure you ring to book as very popular and parking is limited.

4 of us came for my Husbands Birthday last night I don't normally have Chinese food normally have Italian or Indian I had vegetable spring rolls to start with and omg ...absolutely lovely and then had Chicken+Mushroom my husband had a soup which was again very good and salted Squid etc which he loved we will definitely be coming back all the staff very helpful and friendly oh and the spring onion fried rice ...lovely this Restaurant is a must go to place if you are in Liverpool

Tried to call and place an order and the girl I spoke to was soo rude!!! Kept putting the phone down on me and had the worst attitude. Didn’t end up getting food as I didn’t want to ring back for a third time as she left such a sour taste in our mouths!

A very Fine Place in Liverpool. You will find there very good and delicious meals from China. The Card is very different and everything is Good. A exzellent Place too have excellent dinners. And very good Service with friendly Style. You must go there.

I brought a group of boys from Hong Kong, who are boarders at Warwick School. We had done a morning tour of Anfield Stadium tour and were on our way to Old Trafford to watch the UNICEF football match. The boys were very hungry, so I randomly chose this restaurant for them to experience some oriental food. What a find. We were made to feel so welcome and the manageress was able to converse with the boys in Mandarin, as well as revert back to her Liverpudlian accent. The service was great and the food delicious. It added a whole new dimension to our day and the boys moved on to the football satisfied, having experienced food as good as they would expect back at home. If we are ever that way again, we will be booking in, and my wife has asked me to take her there next time we are in Liverpool.

Went Sunday at Two when it's supposed to open. Paid £3.60 for 2 hrs parking and the restaurant didn't open. No response from the phone and no note on the door. They obviously don't care about their customers, absolute disgrace, will never go there again.

We tried the Char Siu Crispy Pork in Black Bean Sauce, the King Do Peking Ribs, Beef with Cashewnuts, and Siu Mai. Everything was absolutely delicious! If you’re in town, you should definitely give it a try!

Visited china town to see the Arch…got talking to a local for best restaurant New Capital was recommended….and did not disappoint…my food choice recommended by staff .Nice portions and very well priced….would highly recommend if you visiting Liverpool………..

Friendly staff with large portions. Food was tasty. Coming from London where the portion sizes are a lot smaller we were pleasantly surprised when our meals arrived.

Fantastic food and fabulous service. Never disappoints- always consistently good. Husband had the char Sui pork in yellow bean with noodles and cashew nuts, I had chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce- amazing!

Found this restaurant in China town Liverpool What a find food was great hot and a good size portion.Highly recommend this restaurant.

If the food wasn’t enough the service was enough to bring you back, The noodles and rice were to die for and the crispy chilly beef alongside the chicken satay were the perfect main dishes. We couldn’t have had the perfect meal without the staff!! they helped us pick, checked on us as much as they could and even shut later after normal so we could finish our food and drinks. An amazing Chinese Restaurant well worth the money. We ordered so much we couldn’t finish it so we requested takeaway boxes that the staff sorted for us, 10/10 service and food. The food was immaculate as well as the staff! This is definitely #1 on food destinations for me and my boyfriend definitely recommend!!

We went for lunch, 2pm last friday 28th April 2023, ("Banquet for 4 - £22 each). Food was absolutely "Excellent"!!! The three of us rolled in here for something to eat and it was just the ticket. A nice starter (pork belly in fried batter) , then crispy shredded beef, something fishy and something eggy. - choose what catches your eye - with a bowl...

I thought I had already written a review but here goes. First visit to the restaurant and Liverpool. Service was excellent and friendly. We had duck and pancakes to start, excellent. My wife had sweet and sour chicken which looked good and she said it was very tasty. I had fried pork which came with a large potion of bean sprouts. I'm not a fan of bean sprouts but the pork was very tasty. In hindsight I ordered the wrong dish but that's on me and not the restaurant. Would definitely go back if in Liverpool and recommend.

Myself and my Wife turned up just before closing and they could not of been more accommodating. Great food, great service and at reasonable price. I would easily recommend a meal here, very good food and good portions with the option for take home if...
