New Florence, Greene King Pub & Carvery in Stoke-on-Trent

I went to the Wacky Warehouse part of the pub with three of my grandchildren, plus their friend. I was greeted by a lovely member of Staff called Libby who was really very helpful in finding me a table and chair in a very busy area. Nothing was too much trouble for her an asset to the place. Thank you.

Food was absolutely beautiful, very ideal with having a Wacky Warehouse. Staff in the Wacky Warehouse was lovely too - Libby & Tyler. It was clean and the toilets were spotless (usually find they're awful in the North Wales Wacky Warehouse).

Absolutely fabulous. Santa was really good, great interaction with both adults and children. Felt well organised and calm. The blowing bubbles and balloons were a hit with children. Thank you Libby for the nice touches.

Came for my daughter’s birthday, food was lovely and service was brilliant. Libby was really helpful and lovely. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely come again.

Thank you, Emma and team, for making our Christmas team night out. It was one of the best we've had in a while. We all had a great time, Festive food and service was really good. Topped off with dancing to ABBA courtesy of FABBA.

Libby was lovely and very accommodating, in the wackey warehouse section. Made sure our tables were clean and cleared at all times during our meal. Couldn't do enough for us.

Had an amazing time at the Wacky bringing my son for his 5th Birthday. Libby (Staff) was amazing, helpful, hilarious with great customer service. Will come back!

We came for a Christmas meal from work. It was lovely, the meal was great and good value for money. The guy that looked after us, Glen, was very helpful and friendly. We come for every special work meal as we always find a welcoming atmosphere. Would recommend for large groups.

We had a birthday party here and nothing was too much trouble for them. Asia was our party host and she was brilliant. Many thanks.

I’d describe this place as a means to an end. You’re not going to come here for a special occasion or a planned meal out, but when the kids are challenging you’ve got the Wacky Warehouse to burn off some energy, and then you come in here for some okay food at a reasonable price.

This place is amazing, it has amazing service and food the atmosphere is relaxing and chill, 100% would recommend this place for a evening meal or just a meal in general.

The food is always lovely. We come every Monday for the quiz night and it’s great fun. The server, Nelly, always ensures that we are well looked after and that everything is okay with our meal. Definitely recommend.

Went for breakfast and the food was lovely. However the staff werent as attentive as they were friendly. Service was slow and we had to constantly leave the table to get staff attention. Paid extra for bottomless toast and wasnt asked once if we'd like another round, nor if our food was okay or if we'd like any condiments. Which youd expect if it were busy except there werent many customers in. The music was also far too loud for a 9.30 breakfast. The staff were, however, very friendly and welcoming.

Food great....but why is the smoking area next to the main door...but more worring right next to the children's play area

A great bar, close to home that accommodates children and adults alike, bar can get busy and crowded and take a while to get served sometimes, however that just is a testimonial to the popularity of the place, staff make an effort and its great to see, would recommend as a good local

We had our boys 6th birthday here, and could not fault it at all. I had nothing to, the staff were incredibly helpful and attentive! My boy absolutely loved it.

Was served by libby she has been absolutely brilliant with myself and my child. Very happy and excited to come again.

Had a carvery,ample sizes for a good price, however food was undercooked,not refreshed fast enough as when there was a queue a few items had ran out. A bit noisy for a quiet meal as sport was on tv.

Come here all the time with my nan, Glen always treats us with excellent service, hard worker and always puts a smile on my nans face

At first we were given a table not suitable for 2 adults and a pushchair, We did book in advance and mention about the pushchair but we're given another table so no big deal.. Good was amazing as always.

Food is amazing as always and the staff are always attentive. Shout out to the young man behind the carvery for always having a smile and asking how your day is going.

If there's a group of you, don't bother. There were 7 of us, 4 had their meals within 10 minutes, 2 then 10 minutes later and the last person 20 minutes after that, after everyone else has finished. They can't cope or organise tables.

Love coming to take the children to wacky then dinner afterwards. Staff are attentive and helpful. Glen is great and always with a smile

Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, food was very good but I only give 5 stars to mind blowing.

Not a great experience! It started with the drinks order, which was only two drinks and both were wrong. The meal order was wrong and I was served kept warm turkey which I did not eat, my carrots were hard and tasted like they were soaked in disinfectant. Please don’t hassle customers with Macmillan cakes, let them eat their food in peace, plenty of time to leave a donation after the food is eaten. Please put some toilet paper in the toilets, my partner could not find any in the ladies. All in all, very disappointing.

Myself, my partner and daughter have just been here for a Sunday carvery. We didn’t book a table and they were fully booked so we sat in the bar area. Whilst we were waiting in the queue for the carvery there were a few customers complaining about the mash potato running out which the man serving the carvery told me there was a problem with the steamer and is trying his best but still people were complaining. We were happy to go without but it did come out within minutes anyway so wasn’t a real issue at all. We loved the food and was very good value for money with or without mashed potato

Twice now I've been here and ordered on the app as sitting outside.both times I've had to go into the pub and tell them .no apology from bar staff.if someone had difficulty walking or was with young kids and though it was an easier way to order than thez may as well forget it.if bar staff don't check if someone's ordered on the app then what's the point having it!!!

Why do you advertise that you serve food until 9 pm when you don't. I've arrived at 8pm the carvery was closed so we tried to order from the menu and were told not taking anymore orders as there's an hour wait for food. Why not advertise that you don't take food orders after 8pm and save poeple a journey. Piss poor get your act together and stop wasting people's time and money traveling to your venue.

1 star for food is being generous. Waited an hour for food which would of been acceptable as we had been advised it was going to be 45min wait but when people come in 30 mins after you and they get served before us I had to ask where our food was we then got told it is just being plated up and will be with us shortly 5 mins later it came out, where do I start…. Child’s meal got send back as the burger bap was burnt around the edges and the burger was cold and you could have used it as a weapon and the chips were over cooked. My daughter’s meal (all day breakfast) had the sausages missing off the plate so also went back. My daughters partners meal was cold and the chips were dried up, cold and over cooked but he was that hungry he just ate it has he’d already waited over an hour. My own food arrived (chicken tikka curry) 1/2 plate of cold rice and a dish with a spoon of curry in it with 5 pieces of chicken in Luke warm. My husbands meal came over cooked batter on his fish, dark brown dry chips and garden peas when we asked for mushy and we had to ask for the bread and butter that did t arrive. I understand when a place is really busy that there will be a wait but when you wait over an hour with a 3 year old child and watch other ppl getting served after waiting 20 mins when they arrived 30 mins after us and then our food came out looking like it was plated 30 mins ago is just unacceptable and will probably be the last time we come for food as it wasn’t that good the last time we ate here even though it was served quicker, the worst £50 I’ve spent on food

Came with the kids this evening. first in the soft play then for food. The food was amazing. Clean plates all round. Got served by glen who made the kids laugh and Elle was brilliant great service. Carvery was yummy too!

I had the vegetarian carvery, excellent best meal I've had in a pub for years, cheers.

To start off we have been hear a few times and had no complaints but thus time around may have been our last visit. Taking into account its a bank holiday it was fairly busy we got seated no problem and proceded to place our order. We was told half hour wait but waited just over 1 hour for food asked the waiter how long food would take and replied "it's just being plated up" but when half the food arrived it was as though it was plated up stright out the freezer. Cold! Sent 2 plates back as the burger for my son I wouldn't feed my dog. Dry, cold burger and the bun looked although it had been cremated at a funeral home. The scampi dry and cold and my partner had missing items on plate. Again we come here often and is a shame to have write this post.

We called in for Sunday dinner on our way back home. The pub was busy with people watching football and thought about leaving but as we were hungry we decided to stay. The carvery was absolutely delicious, lots of choice and all 3 of the meat options were cooked to perfection and excellent value for money. If we're passing by again we'll definitely call in again.

First timers here. Great food and very reasonably priced. Recommend the steak and chicken cheese fondue if you're hungry. Briony at The Wacky Warehouse was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. A real asset. Wacky Warehouse is very cheap in comparison to other small soft plays we've visited.

Kate has been here since September 2023 and has been outstanding in her service and attitude to both the customers and the job in general. I have never known her to be doing nothing. When the bar is busy she makes every effort to get people served quickly and in the correct order. When it's quiet, she finds things to do out on the floor or behind the bar. 10 out of 10

Stopped of from a recent work trip, the outside could do with a clean up the playground is small. Interior needs a revamp but the food and staff are amazing ..

Good pub with good locals. Touch pricey but got all the sports u want unlike alot of greenking pubs in this area

If you're ever unsure of where to go for a carvery, this is the place to go to... I highly recommend it! The food is amazing, the prices are good and all of the staff are super polite and helpful. It is a comfortable environment for catching up with others aswell as solo visits. A big thank you to all the guys who work hard in the kitchen and on the carvery. You guys are amazing!

Friendly atmosphere for drinks and sports. Lots of space outside, and a BIG TV set up for football. The manager Glen is incredibly friendly and offers very warm service.

All staff very friendly, nice food, nice place to meet with freinds and children for a drink and food. Reasonably priced and nice and clean. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff. Thanks for a lovely afternoon 😊

Booked a table for 6 on 15/6/24 on the website the options were for dining and drinks and euro football , I clicked dining and drinks . When we arrive we were told we had only booked for drinks which was impossible because it was not even an option.(we were accomdated) The pub was busy and loud so we decide to book via the table qr code , unfortunately there was no option to order a carvey even a staff member could not do it . The food was okay some of the fried chicken breadcrumbs were over done and crunchy but edible. Overall okay but nothing special.

Staff are friendly and helpful the food was good but only had big Yorkshire pudding

We had a lovely celebration here tonight for my mums 80th birthday. The buffet food was lovely and the staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Thanks so much for everything, my mum had the best time. 😊

The food in here is absolutely disgusting. We've been a few times as our little'un enjoys the play area. Ordered food a few times and it's always 2/10, today it wasn't even that, 0/10. Vile! Absolutely vile! That's the last time! It's not even cheap!

We had a lovely meal cooked and served by Luke the most polite chef I've ever met.... the barmaid Courtney was run off her feet but managed to smile and make everyone feel welcome. It was so busy but Melissa found the time to serve us accurately and made us feel so welcome! The manager Nick was mucking in with his staff and they found the time to light birthday candles for my daughters cake! All round lovely experience we will come again and I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.... Well done New Florence
