Nic Nocs vintage tearoom in Barnsley

Visited on Thursday afternoon. Our table was beautifully dressed for our arrival. Such a lovely little tea room, small & quirky & only a few tables but what a wonderful cosy place. Candles & all sorts to look at & buy. We were warmly welcomed by the owners. The tea was served in a beautiful teapot with the matching china cup & saucers, great hot strong tasting tea, which was kindly refilled without having to ask. Beautiful silver wear. Plenty of good quality fillings on the sandwiches & cakes & scones were lovely. The portion size exceeded that of any other place I've visited & was even served with salad, crisps & pickle too. The food quality was the best I've had for this type of treat. I have a big appetite & was delighted with the comfortable surroundings to feel I could really take advantage & not feel I had to leave some to be polite. I will definitely be back! Their Christmas plans sound wonderful. Thank you to everyone involved.

Been here today for lunch. The lady who owns it Tina was a treasure beyond words, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely panini with crisps,side salad,coleslaw. Friend had cheeses sandwich. Makes homemade soups, and cakes too. Shop also sells gifts for all occasions,definitely worth a look. Also do afternoon teas.
