Waarom een menu op tafel zetten als je niks kunt bestellen omdat het er niet is? Geen fish and chips om 19.00? Drie kwartier wachten op wat snacks? Nee, niet best!

Called in to grab a pie for lunch as advertised as their speciality, venue is very impressive and was very clean, the pies were OK, mash was nice.

Called in on off chance on route to a concert. Happy friendly staff who worked efficiently. Didn’t expect much but the food was amazing. We cannot fault anything and will definitely call again when in Manchester. Thank you for making our dining experience a treat as we had walked out of the restaurant in our hotel as dire,,,,

We went to the pub today and had what I can explain as underwhelming, the service was awful when the waitresses were stood around doing nothing. The food was good and tasty just a shame about the service.

Just popped in for a quick drink. The girl behind the bar was quick and really nice. I don’t know what the foods like but based on my visit, I’d give it a go sometime.

Great Comfort food. we had all types of British pies. Typical Pub food but with excellent taste and flavor.

Very happy with the customer service served within the minute we walked through the door even though it was 21:00 on a Saturday night wich was very busy as expected at a bar in Manchester. We would definitely call in again.

They don't build places like this anymore. Beautiful old building given a new lease of life. Visited late afternoon/early evening. Good choice of ales and other drinks. Nice menu choice of reasonably priced dishes including some more originally thought out, especially the veggie ones. Bar and waiting staff really helpful and polite [often a novelty these days]. Plenty of room and comfortable seating. Will visit again as this was very good value all round.

Just visited and have had a great meal . Would recommend this pub . Good food and beer🍜👍Manchester market's well worth a visit.

We ordered 2 main dishes with my girlfriend. Big A+ for the staff and all the people who work there. They are doing a good job! Thank you for the hospitality. PS.: Best beers in town, recommended for everyone. ;) :)

Big palette of delicious traditional beers. Nice atmosphere, and helpful staff, good prices. It is in the centre of the town near the town hall and other city attractions.

Went here for drinks recently. We ordered a few drinks and paid with change. We definitely gave the right change and were approached after saying we had shortchanged £2. We definitely didn't but couldn't be bothered argue so gave the money. For the same round we got 2 prosecco and one was only half the size of the other. When ordering the next drink we asked that the prosecco be filled fully and were charged double (even though in the last round 1 was full and the other was half empty). We ordered a gin mare, which is a very expensive gin, and it was put in a small, horrible glass with no lemon or ice. The bar staff were not up to the job in any way. I would not recommend this place for drinks

We're usually in here at least once a month for food and a drink. Normally mid\late morning or early afternoon. Plenty of good beers and guest ale. Food has always been server promptly and of good quality and quantity. Not a noisy or brash environment (during the day anyway).

Had the ploughmans sandwich don't go for that Def a Big No bread was not fresh and what cheese one seen I could put on my pinky nail

I met my pal from New Zealand recently and as he likes fish I took him to Nicholson's which I had found by accident traipsing the streets of Manchester. It is situated in a lovely old bank building and has a great feel to it with its panelling and wooden floors. My Kiwi mate had a cod stew served with ciabatta while I had sea bass fillets on a bed of crushed baby potatoes which we washed down with a lovely Merlot. We both thoroughly enjoyed our fish and will visit again next year when he returns for his annual visit. The service was friendly and very efficient.

Sunday morning breakfast here. Nice, relaxing place. Staff were nice although maybe a bit busy for the number of staff they had. I had eggs royale ~ nice! Interesting building.

What a breath of fresh air this place was! Hayley who served us was attentive, helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend going to this place - even just for a drink. They have a fantastic selection of Gin and the décor is fabulous. Would...
