Nigiri - Giffnock in East Renfrewshire

We have ordered takeaway a few times from Nigiri and the food is great. Well packaged and tasty. Having had the "real deal" in Singapore / Japan, this is pretty close to the mark. I am not a fan of Japanese style rice, but I am reliably informed that the chicken Katsu is top notch. We have sampled several of the appetisers (my preference) and can recommend the pork and the chicken gyozas (5 pieces in each). The prawn and chicken tempura is also lovely. We also tried the "loaded fries" and that is a meal in its own right! Lastly, some of the sushi was sampled and the California roll was superb. We had an issue with an order placed due to a systems glitch. You can tell the service when things go wrong - not when they always go right. Linda was very apologetic about the issue and it was rectified and we got a complimentary order as an apology. Nigiri is one of our regular places and we look forward to trying the rest of the menu ! It's great to see something other than pizza / fish and chip places. A good variety in the area is much appreciated.

Booked a table with my other half. From start to finish, one of the best meals we have ever had. Linda and Caitlin were our servers and took great care of us. The food was absolutely amazing and the cocktails were delicious. The playlist was also great! The gyoza was probably the best we have ever had. Will definitely be back here again for food and cocktails. Our new favourite date night spot! 🥰 So lucky that this gem of a restaurant is local.

Just tried to order with these cowboys through Uber Eats. Was told the food would arrive at 2125 latest. No sign of it. Was told by the app to call the restaurant. I did, five times and no answer. So I assumed I wasn't getting my food so ordered elsewhere. 45 minutes later, the Uber driver arrives with my food. I gave her her tip but I refused the food. I gave it to her and hope she enjoys it. I don't expect Nigiri will respond to this review if they can't even answer their phone. Good luck growing your business.

Excellent food and great service with Linda! Really enjoyed the maki and edamame in particular but all great and we’ll definitely be back

Fantastic family meal at Nigiri last night. Staff were attentive polite and great with the kids. Food was delicious really enjoyed the seaweed salad and salmon 🍣 it’s a nice change from the normal family places 5 ***** from us!

Visited here with the kids who both love Japanese food. A wide range on the menu for all levels of taste and a varied drinks menu. Nice professional setting and the staff both really friendly.

We had a delicious takeaway this evening. The food was wonderful. However, there was something missing from our order. I called to say it wasn’t there and within a matter of minutes they sent out a driver to drop off the missing item plus some crackers. Really excellent service and fantastic food.

Best sushi in Glasgow! I eat there (sit in or take away) almost every week for the past few months. The food is always fresh and portions are great! The service is good as well no matter who’s on shift. I always look forward to returning!

Fabulous night with friends at Nigiri Giffnock! Staff very knowledgable and attentive and found a cocktail to suit everyone and were able to offer advice and explanation of food menu. Everyone enjoyed shared sushi platters which were fabulous and fresh. Main dishes were equally fabulous and everyone had something different. Having enjoyed many takeaways this was my first sit down meal and it didn’t disappoint. Decor fab, staff lovely , and food delicious. Restaurant small but busy but would recommend and looking forward to more visits in the future Nigiri is a welcome addition to Giffnock.

Best restraunt in the Southside. I assume the other reviews were due to teething problems as the service and food was amazing when we visited.

Placed an order at 5.30pm. Live 4 minutes away. Was told would receive by 6.30pm. Nothing came , phoned them and was told on way be with us 30minutes. At 7.15pm still nothing, phoned again told there was a car issue but all sorted its on way. At 8.03pm still nothing phoned again and was told definitely with driver, asked definitely was told to hang on line and would check, came back to me and was told they spoke to driver and he had it in his car and he was 3 minutes away , 8.35pm still not arrived (32min) after getting told it would be 3 mins. Decided to go to shop, and face them as obviously lying to us all the time regarding delivery. 3 hours later with still no food , went to restaurant, still was told in car and he didn’t no why we didn’t have it, people in restaurant unhappy also not receiving their meal after waiting 2 hours. We did get our money back but the whole point of this review is they were lying to us all the time saying meal was in the car and it wasn’t. Just tell the truth but due to this we will never return, and other people that have been are not returning its the lying thats really annoyed us. 3 hrs waiting for a meal when it was meant to be in the car from 6.30pm is nonsense when obviously it wasn’t out for delivery. We are not daft but they treated us like we were. They didn’t really care either not the way to run a newly opened business. Word gets around quickly in a small community like Giffnock. Best of luck to them they will need it if they dont pull their socks up

Very disappointed in food from Negiri Giffnock Glasgow this evening. Delivery arrived late food was cold, starter missing and wrong order for main course. Won’t be back in a hurry ☹️
