Nilly's Cafe in Tower Hamlets

We just had a breakfast here and the food is fresh, cooked on the spot and you can tell they use real eggs (not liquid from a container). Their recipes are super simple and what makes the food taste amazing is the fresh food they use. I would eat here every day, for sure.

Absolutely worth trying!! We returned to Nilly's cafe twice in a row, both for the excellent breakfast and for the kindness of Sara, who made us feel at home. Greetings from Italy!! See you soon hopefully, keep it up ❤️

Great breakfast and lunch to enjoy at this upbeat cafe. Eggs benedict is a favourite and the juices are fresh squeezed and tasty. Mocha is perfectly chocolatey and fluffy steamed milky too.

A real hidden gem of a breakfast place. I tried the veg 3 breakfast (despite not being vegetarian) and it was spectacular. Scrambled eggs deliciously creamy and even the salad was really enjoyable. A lovely surprise and we’ll absolutely come back.

Local cafe (“caff”) serving English and Turkish/Mediterranean breakfasts and light meals. Numerous English breakfast sets, baps, sandwiches etc and the option to build your own. In terms of the vibe, think relaxed, industrial chic (think exposed brickwork, dark wood, hanging clocks and mechanical items for door handles etc) with low lighting and background music. Service is quick, friendly and attentive.

Super friendly staff, very fair prices and very tasty food. A lot of locals also ate here and were the only tourists. We were also able to charge our cell phones here without any problems.

A great hidden gem for a breakfast. Nilly's cafe serves a great cup of coffee. We had coffee and the hot chocolate which we love. For food, we had the Full English breakfast which was great for sharing. Not many places for breakfast had pies on the menu and their chicken pie was good and comes with a side of peas. The service was also good despite the place being quite packed for breakfast. All in all a good experience.

I got food poisoning here from the shakshuka . Never eat here ever.

It was one of the most English experiences we had to sit there on a weekday morning and, so to speak, immerse ourselves in the everyday life of the English :) We entered in pouring rain, cozy cafe / breakfast room, there were no tourists, just us. The breakfasts were very tasty and absolutely good value for money. The service was nice and fast.

Nice breakfast cafe and friendly service. Ideal on a Saturday morning at 10am. While all other cafés closer to the main streets are packed with waiting lines, this little gem offers best relaxed breakfast. Coffees are superb, too!

Cosy café with friendly service, good portions and delicious food. The menu had a wide choice of dishes, including veggie options, and good prices, especially for the area.

Nice vibe cafe. The coffee was okay, though if I had to nitpick, slightly too bitter for me. Didn't expect the breakfast set to be served with a huge plate, and the portion was very generous and I didn't finish it all. But the food was good, typical English breakfast as you would expect.

Food may be good, but service is insulting. We’ve been served coffee but food took forever while other people arrived after us almost finished theirs. We pointed it out but food didn’t arrive until we decided to go away empty stomachs. DON’T GO

Decided to return there after trying it once(3 days prior) but the 2nd go around the service was rubbish just from when we arrived there.. tables inside were full so we decide to wait for a free one to come up. A group of 5 comes after us and the waitress comes outside to speak to ask them how many pax to try sit them(she didn’t speak to us the entire wait we were there).. so we move forward forcing her to sit us first. We sit get our order taken but 15min later only coffees have arrived, meanwhile the group of 5 is halfway through their meals(yes we ordered the same basic breakfast).. we give it another 5 minutes before asking her and she (very nonchalantly) said another 5-7 minutes. Meanwhile proceeds to take food to another table that sat after us.

The chocolate and fruit pancakes were really good and filling. Not only is there the Nutella drizzle on top, but there are banana slices between the pancakes. 😋

Our regular breakfast spot, De Vine, was on a well-deserved Easter holiday. Nilly’s Café is a wonderful alternative. Delicious food. Friendly service. We will be back.

This is my go to cafe in Aldgate East! They serve English and Mediterranean breakfast and some classic mains like chicken escalope, lasagne, chilli con carne etc. I am mainly there for the Mediterranean food like cilbir eggs or kofta kebab meal. All very tasty. Service is fast and the people there are lovely.

We had breakfast and it was amazing. We can't have been the only people who thought so, because the place was lively and awesome.

A traditional English breakfast, delicious and generous, near downtown London :) I replaced the fries with bubble (a dish I didn't know) and I didn't regret it because it was very tasty. Very friendly and attentive staff. I recommend it, especially to tourists who want to discover English gastronomy in a small, pleasant local café!

Typical good cafe, we had a party of 7 and we were seated quickly and our food came out timely, we all had different breakfasts but the stand out was the omelette for me with a nice salad

Das essen war sehr gut, ist auch sehr schnell zubereitet gewesen und der Preis war angemessen leider war der Cappuccino nicht so gut deshalb 1 Stern Abzug. Ich würde das Cafe zum Frühstücken weiterempfehlen und auch gerne nochmal vorbeischauen
