A great local restaurant in the heart of Stretford. The sushi is always super fresh and the staff are attentive and helpful. Great for an evening out, or a mid week takeaway (excellent Katsu Curry)

Amazing food & atmosphere. Great customer service, half the cost of the other sushi places out there that are the same quality. It’s not letting me upload a video otherwise I would have uploaded the food!! Must visit place. A little cold inside but that’s understandable with how cold it is at the moment!

Really enjoyed our meal here this evening for my son’s 10th bday (his choice to have Sushi!). Chefs platter of sushi was delicious, above and beyond what I’ve had elsewhere! Little touches of extra texture, crispness, searing - the chef definitely knows their stuff! Katsu chicken was also amazing. Thanks!

Visited for the first time this evening… gutted it took so long. The food was delicious and some of the best fish I’ve tasted! Super fresh and amazing quality. The staff are beyond lovely. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu ❤️

Previously gave this place 5 stars for their amazing sushi and I stand by that. However, twice our orders have been "lost" now, once on their own website and once on Just Eat. Also, the sushi is amazing, but the noodles are pretty awful. If you can't make a basic noodle dish guys don't have it on the menu - it just leaves people disappointed. Mixed feelings about the place now - will leave it a while before I try again I reckon.

Delicious and beautifully presented food and cocktails. We shared duck gyoza (steamed - but fried is also offered - your choice) and tuna sashimi for starters, then for mains I enjoyed Yakisoba noodles and my partner had chicken Katsu curry which was excellent, washed down with two different types of saki, beer by the bottle and a top notch margarita. All beautifully served by smiling and helpful staff. If you think you need to go into town to experience excellent Japanese dining, save yourself the transport and try Nishi Sushi instead!

The restaurant is a good addition to our neighbourhood. We had loads of different and delicious dishes. The uramaki rolls were excellent! 👌👍

This was such a birthday treat! The chef and waitress personalised my experience with surprise treats, very kind of them 💕 we ordered various types of uramaki and they were all very fresh and the katsu curry was so delicious. Everything paired well with a bottle of Asahi! We are definitely coming back ! 🍣

This is by far the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to. The fish was incredibly fresh and of the highest quality. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The chef’s passion for his craft truly shines through. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a great time here. From the gorgeous decor, to the friendly waiting on staff and the chefs who made some really delicious dishes for us, this place is such a little local gem. The Chicken Katsu was amazing as always and the Funky hot rolls were so moreish (I wish I'd have ordered more!) The chef brought out a little taster of Takoyaki for us at the end of our meal which were SO good (even my partner who is quite unadventurous tried one and loved it -will definitely be ordering more next time) He spent time chatting to us and recommended different dishes to try as newbies to sushi based on items we've ordered or had in the past. I'd really recommend this place if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back for more

Kids love the hot rolls, which they call "hot crunchy sushi" , really fresh and friendly staff, we travel to Nishi sushi because it's literally the best around!

The place had lots of Asian customers, as white English people this is always a giveaway that the food is excellent, and it was absolutely superb.

Fantastic Sushi place in the heart of Stretford. We had the 20 piece to share and the soft shell crab and then despite being full salivated reading the rest of the menu already deciding what to have next time! We are lucky to have this so close to home!

Fabulous food and service. Chilled vibes. Sushi platter was great. Shoutouts to the Eel Nigiri, chilli squid and seaweed salad.

Amazing addition to Stretford, the food is so good! Great quality sushi as well as offering lots of other options from katsu curry to dumplings. Staff are great and friendly. The only down side is I worry it won't survive if more people don't go, support local it's so good!!!

This is the new home of our favourite Sushi Chef who owned the sorely missed NISHI SUSHI CAFE in Chorley, which served the best Sushi Ever! Wahkil or better known to his regulars as Nishi, demonstrates his passion for incredible Sushi by using only the finest ingredients, he honestly creates hands down the nicest sushi, and we as a family have taken the opportunity to enjoy Sushi at every sushi restaurant we’ve spotted along our travels, as true lovers of sushi. Nishi remains the bar to beat when it comes to dining out at other sushi restaurants. Tonight we as a family visited NISHI SUSHI RESTAURANT, traveling purposely from chorley to Stetford for the third time since his relocation, we left feeling very happy will full bellies and happy hearts. Such a lovely man and genuinely hope his relocation to Stretford is a successful one amd that locals to Stretford appreciate what a gem they’ve adopted! If you’ve not tried Nishi sushi yet? I implore you to book in and I promise you great food, and a pleasant experience meeting the man himself and his team, please do say Hi from me Kim from Chorley if you read this and you do go, tell him we need Nishi Sushi back in Chorley, but until we tempt him back to Chorley we will continue to travel to visit and support this great chef! Also as a footnote, this is also a really good value sushi restaurant compared to other sushi restaurants you won’t leave hungry with empty pockets. You might end up taking some home though as you’ll probably want to try everything on the menu

Although I am not particularly fond of sushi, my wife and colleagues enjoy it, so we decided to dine at this establishment. The culinary experience proved to be exceptionally delightful. We sampled a diverse range of dishes, and each one was of the highest quality. The service provided was equally commendable, demonstrating a level of professionalism that complemented the exceptional cuisine. I highly recommend this establishment to all those who appreciate culinary excellence.

A fantastic sushi restaurant in Stretford I was really excited to see we had a Sushi restaurant moving to Stretford and I think it is the only sit down Asian food within walking distance of Stretford so they really add an extra flavour to what's available locally. We had a wide selection of Sushi, Nigiri and Goyoza including the sharing plate selection with hot and cold rolls. Some excellent sushi 🍣 we'll definitely be coming back soon.

Great food & great restaurant to come to Stretford. Friendly service had both a sit down meal and a takeaway and both fab.

Service was top notch, servers tried to satisfy our every request. Food wise the standout was the chicken katsu curry. Sushi was just ok, you could find better and cheaper in the city. Not in a hurry to return but will try it again when everything has settled down and can't be bothered to travel out.

Delicious food and brilliant service

We went as a party of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids at 1pm Sunday lunch time. Service was very good and the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant. Food was delicious, very fresh sushi and great portion size of Katsu curry and rice. The chicken noodles were delicious too. A real asset to Stetford and Trafford more widely, highly recommended - we will be back. Thank you.

Food is beautiful, i was so impressed I will definitely be back. This a hidden gem - I was just looking for somewhere to sit and wait for an hour, then I had an outstanding dinner! The music was 90’s and 00’s pop and hip hop mainstream, just a tiny bit loud. V clean, furniture is new.

Food is amazing and such a good quality, a very extensive menu so there’s something for everyone including vegetarians and those who don’t like fish! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Lovely food - great value - fab service

We tried Nishi Sushi during its opening week in Stretford. We loved it. So happy to have a restaurant back in this space as we’d previously missed Indian Social Club. This is a great replacement and we can’t wait to return. Food and service was great. Definitely try their plum wine!

I can’t believe this place is real. The taste of the sushi is AMAZING, even much better than the ones in those posh places. Whenever I want to treat myself with good food, I order nishi sushi. I even convinced my friends from other cities to come and try it. 🤣🤣🤣

La comida es 100% auténtica japonesa y he estado en algunos restaurantes japoneses, incluyendo Ivy Asia en Leeds. La calidad está ahí arriba con los mejores. La única desventaja es el tamaño. Es muy pequeño y acogedor y una cafetería como. Sin embargo, eso no quita la experiencia. Estos chefs van a lugares... rápido, inténtenlo.

We don’t always rely on reviews as they are so subjective and perhaps not entirely accurate. However, this is a one zillion pop recent five star review. We took a gamble and ordered a lot of varied dishes as we wanted to try things out. When I picked the order up the staff were all very friendly and professional but in truth, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the little sushi cafe on Pall Mall, Chorley. So, what of the food? Let me tell you that it’s up there with some of the best sushi, nigiri etc that we’ve ever had. We were both pretty gobsmacked by the freshness, taste and presentation. Forget your sushi chains or concessions in the likes of Tesco:- try here instead. You will NOT be disappointed. Team, thank you for such outstanding food. We will definitely be back! We ordered Sushi today following reviews I had read! The staff were very polite, efficient and friendly. We took the food home in very well packaged containers. The food was made fresh this morning and it was delicious! Some of the best sushi, nigiri and sashimi we have had! We ordered Temaki which we have never had before and it was really good. We will definitely be back 😍

This place is a gem. Don't judge the surroundings as they're a cafe not a restaurant. However the food is super and service perfect and I'd give it a 6 star if I could. Will definitely be back.

We really love it here, had both taken away and eaten in evening and lunch time. The food is amazing, the price is incredibly reasonable. There are just a few small tables and the door to outdoors is opening and closing a fair amount, so worth dressing warmly. Really you're going for the food, which is lush!

This restaurant is surprisingly good! The sushi is exceptional. Don't be put off by the interior; it's simple and could use an upgrade. We got the impression that a lot of takeout is done here. However, we decided to dine in. The presentation of the food is very appealing, and the staff is friendly. We will definitely be back!

Nishi Sushi is insane. We've gone to many a sushi restaurant in Japan, including some pretty expensive ones, and on the food quality alone Nishi Sushi would easily be very successful even in the place of origin of sushi. I won't even mention the competition in the UK - we have yet to have better sushi anywhere close to this price range, and we've probably tried all the sushi Manchester has to offer. The interior decor could definitely be improved, but don't let it put you off. It's definitely more of a takeaway place, but sitting down will result in you getting the nicest presentation for your food.

Lovely, little cafe but not so many tables. The menu is extensive and even had options for those no who don't like raw fish. I had takoyaki and California rolls. The rolls tasted very fresh and came with high quality wasabi that hit the pack of your brain rather than making you choke and it's not that cheap packet wasabi that you can buy online or that other restaurants give you with YO!(ur) sushi.. I was pleasantly surprised with the dishes I chose they were very nice and of high standard with good presentation and i would go back again ☺️

Food was amazing when first opened Tried again the other week to be very dissapointed. Sushi was dry as a bone and had barely any flavour to it. Young lad on the till missed out multiple items even though I verbally spoke the items to him. Not his fault but more experience is needed. Probably won't come back now as the price doesn't even closely reflect the quality any more.

My girlfriend and I are massive Sushi lovers, having had Sushi all over the UK and Asia (Including Japan). We also love to import high quality Tuna and Salmon sashimi for special occasions. Let me tell you, Nishi Sushi is the most authentic and incredible Japanese food we have had in the whole of the UK, and easily rivals what we had in Japan. The fish is so beautifully fresh and flavourful, and the staff are absolutely amazing. If you're in Lancashire, there is no better place to eat. I highly, HIGHLY recommend trying it. 10/10.

We love it here! Been going for years. An absolute must in Chorley if you like Japanese food. My partner is vegan and he loves it too (tofu options). Caters for us both easily.

Sushi good, but every time I have had it from here, I had bad stomach ache afterwards. It’s the next day now and I feel very nauseous and have a headache.

Service, selection and food quality was fantastic. Young guy who served us was brilliant, very polite and professional. Only advice would be to freshen up the decoration and paintwork inside to match the quality of service/food. Will 100% return

We recently dined at this sushi restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The Spicy tuna sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious. The Choley special sushi was a unique and delightful surprise. The chicken katsu was perfectly crispy and flavorful. The service was attentive, and the ambiance was welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a memorable sushi dining experience!

came here for a meal with friends and the food was amazing with excellent service. only a small place, but a very friendly atmosphere. we ordered a wide range of items from the menu and it was all great. some really good vegan options too, plus some things that you don’t typically see at a japanese restaurant, like deep fried sushi. will definitely go back!

Party of 4 adults and a child and we didn’t book. We had a superb meal with various items off the menu and we will undoubtedly return, it was superbly presented and cooked. The size of this place is small but can see this business going from strength to strength as the food is good, and at a decent price . Excellent polite service too.

I ordered on Chorley Eats and it arrived within 45 mins quite far from them (Eccleston). That was quite possibly the best sushi I have had in a very long time... maybe ever. The Chorley Special Uramaki (top left) was incredible, as was the California Hot Roll (top right), the salmon sashimi was super fresh and delicious and the chicken karage was amazing too... lastly the dumplings were great as well. Thank you :)

The katsu was so authentic, the perfect crisp pumpkin croquettes on sticky rice was perfectly complemented by the rich, warm curry sauce. The Chorley Special Uramaki rolls were so fun—teriyaki seared salmon on tempura prawn and avocado rolls. Perfect umami with the dash of truffle mayo! And the vegan and veggie options are fantastic. The inari taco tofu sushi was generous, delicious, and mouthwatering. To top it all off; the staff are not only highly decorated in sushi preparation (and it shows!) but our waiter was a kind, attentive host and very polite and friendly. If you haven’t tried this food, please, do!! A hidden gem in Chorley, this place needs far more recognition.
