Took friend here for pre birthday lunch at 2 pm. Ordered drinks and panini. Drinks came and a little later waiter returned to tell us there were no panini so we said we’d have sandwiches. Waiter returned to tell us there were no sandwiches. We were then offered ‘a full refund’. I discovered on checking my bank account that we’d been charged for our two cold drinks which we’d only had a few sips from while we waited for our nonexistent food. So much for a full refund. So let down!

Having overheard a pub conversation about this venue the following morning we decided to find out if the Bla Bla was true.............and yes the coffee was grand + both bacon offerings were real proper, served by enthusiastic staff. A++++++++++

Had the most amazing experience at no.60 recently, my young son who is an extremely fussy eater, had a melt down due to wanting sausages to eat. Unfortunately no.60 did not do them, but this did not stop the amazing owner, he went out of this way to make my son happy. He sourced some sausages for my son to eat and nothing was too much for him and his wonderful staff. My son was extremely happy and I was one very relieved mumma! Thank you so much for all that you did. Hulk gives several high 5's!!!

Just popped in after seeing it on here. No real idea what to expect as I’m not local to the area. Was greeted by the owner, who honestly made my very short experience one I will remember. We got talking fitness and personal service of my food and drink 10 mins before the kitchen shut - I loved every min of my visit. The food was delicious, fresh and incredibly well priced. Place is beautiful and you can tell the owner takes so much pride in both service and the atmosphere. Will 100% be back and recommending to friends. Would love to come back for dinner sometime!

Called in for a pit stop with my Spaniel. Friendly greeting & directed to the enclosed garden & cellar area for my ☕& 🍰. It's good to know that now that the Anvil has sadly closed, that there's another venue in BW that's happy to accommodate dogs😊👍.. Thankyou & see you again..

How can you mess up a Ploughman’s Lunch? Come to the D&C and see. Microwaved half baguette that went dry, crisp and stale immediately. Cheese was appalling. The worst type of cheap, tasteless, doughy cheddar. Pork pie that was missing the pork. We will not be returning.

Really enjoyed ourselves today. Service is friendly and unpretentious but always attentive, on a number of occasions staff asked us about whether we were enjoying the food. The soughdough bread was delicious and the wild garlic butter vibrant in colour and taste. We had the Porterhouse steak and oh my, it was good.
