Great Servuce, Great Food .. loved it , highly recommended

The food wasn’t tasty unfortunately

Gratefully BioCafe is temporarily closed otherwise we would not have walked into this beautiful place. Had the Haggis, Mussels and deep fried pickles to start. Pie of the day (Chicken & Haggis) and the Philly Cheese Steak Wrap with Truffle Fries. Could not alter or change the smallest ingredients, it was all incredible. My partner and I eat out once per day during this time of the year and this is top of our list. The atmosphere and customers were all cheerful and in great spirits. The price for all this plus 4 large soft drinks totalled £67! Incredible. Will be back at least once a month! Thankyou to all the staff and chef! Also candle lit tables, high stools by windows. Beautifully decorated!

Great brunch, the Mexican hash was particularly good. Decent pricing, nice atmosphere and kid friendly during the day! Their roasts looked amazing as well.

Went there today for lunch with wife and adult kids. Looked slightly above average prices. However, portions are very generous and the food is excellent quality. As for the service this matches the food. Excellent service and very attentive. Our new favourite place for lunch in Aberdeen for sure.

Food was lovely, everyone in our group of four had different dishes and all were delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed .

I was in earlier today was the of 3 us, to grab a quick lunch, as soon as we walked in.we were made to feel not welcome, we were told was fully booked, even tho there was plenty tables free, was told we would have to wait 2 hour 45 mins.Left my phone number as was meant to call me once a table is available, never bothered calling me, im really Disappointed about the whole experience. I certainly won't be going back any time soon. I Really Don't recommend this place!

Our favourite local, super friendly staff and excellent food. There's mocktails for the children and a screen for watching football. Highly recommended.

Have not eaten here mayge we should? Usually stop here for a drink on our way home from town. Cocktails are good (apparently!) Guinness is better. Staff are very nice too.

I love the Noose and Monkey, a local pub feel that has been so welcoming to friends and family I bring along from far and wide, who always ask if we can go back. Lovely staff, who genuinely want to ensure you are having a good time, rather than just asking and moving on. And food that is a hefty punch above your standard pub grub. Always my go-to place for lunch or dinner when people come to Aberdeen, to know we do have some great places here! The Rorie pie is always worth a punt. Rorie would be delighted. And they let dogs in, which is always a good measure of a place!

Nice atmosphere. The Cajun lintel soup was outstanding as was the chicken and haggis pie. The burger was just OK. I’d suggest toasting the bun, and offering to cook the patty less than well done. Otherwise very nice place

We had drinks, food, and great 👍 service. The establishment was busy even though we were a little early before dinner bookings were to start. Luckily we got in before they got busy. I recommend booking for dinner to be safe.

We had a meal here before going to the Theatre, it is in a perfect location and good pub grub.

Nos conocimos y servimos a Mark que estaba muy bien informado sobre el menú y la carta de vinos. Pedimos nuestras comidas (el pastel Rorie era absolutamente) . Fue muy agradable charlar con Jill y averiguar acerca de su maravilloso bar / restaurante acogedor. Estamos muy contentos de que nos contaran sobre este lugar, ya que está en nuestra lista para hacer una visita de regreso en un futuro cercano cuando estemos de vuelta en Aberdeen. Gracias al maravilloso personal de este establecimiento de Fiona y Eddie.

He estado en Aberdeen durante días fuera bastantes veces, así que estábamos buscando algo diferente esta vez, de principio a fin el servicio fue excelente. El menú tenía una gran variedad de opciones, especialmente las bebidas desafortunadamente no estábamos bebiendo, ya que los cócteles sonaban muy bien. Así que opté por algunas bebidas sin alcohol en su lugar que había una buena selección de también. Para la comida los dos comimos lo mismo, filetes de ciabattas que estaban deliciosos, el complemento de patatas fritas es una necesidad, ya que estaban tan llenos de sabor. Sin duda recomendaría y volveré a probar algunos de los cócteles. El tipo que nos sirve en el sombrero era excelente, de principio a fin con una bienvenida amable y asegurándose de ofrecernos más bebidas o una mirada a los postres después de que habíamos comido.

We were back in the Noose last night for tea. We are quite regular customers, often for drinks and also food. Last night we had battered chicken fillets with salad and chunky fries plus macaroni cheese made with smoked cheddar, garlic bread and also some salad. Two wonderful plates of food and perfect portion sizes, nothing was left on the plates which made such a contrast to another Aberdeen eatery a week ago. The food is always really good at the Noose and the staff are lovely. It's a busy place on busy theatre days/nights so always worth booking online.

Nice selection of food, fresh decor and lots of nice plants. good atmosphere although can be a little noisy at times but part of being a small venue. Perfect any time venue, especially pre theatre

Decent ales on draught and had an excellent nacho chicken burger, (crispy skin and the jalapeños had a good kick), bar staff friendly. Recommended!

A great pub - one of the best in Aberdeen. Well run, good choice of drinks, friendly staff and great location. Not had the food so unable to comment. All in all would definitely recommend. PS. And reasonable prices.

An unassuming place, which I like, a bit of a pub style. That being said, excellent cocktails and food. Some of the best I've had in Aberdeen. Good deals as well, like their midweek Margarita club at £7. And their Sunday roast, 2 + a bottle of red for £45, is a solid value. The staff is helpful with suggestions and lovely. Visiting from Texas, the Scottish mussels were great as well as the lentil soup and the garlic mushroom creme fresh on sourdough. Only caveat is that the kitchen closes at 9pm. But that's pretty normal for the area. Also, great music and atmosphere. Most people that came in were chatty and enjoying their time.

However, I want to reiterate that during our visit, we were not informed that our table would be needed back by a specific time until we were asked to vacate the table with only 5 minutes' notice. Given the situation, I believe our request for a refund for the drinks we had just purchased was reasonable and appreciate that part being handled well. That said, the overall handling of the situation did not meet my expectations for customer service. It's disappointing to receive a defensive response that doesn't address the core issue or seek to remedy the situation. I hope you can consider this feedback constructively and look into ways to improve interactions with customers in the future. ——————————————— We've been to Noose & Monkey quite a few times recently and have really enjoyed our food, drinks, cocktails, service, and the overall atmosphere. We had become big fans, recommending the place to friends and family. Unfortunately, that changed today, which is why our overall rating is 1 star instead of 5. We decided to pay our bill as we considered leaving to watch football at home. However, we changed our minds, stayed, and got some additional drinks from the bar. About 10 minutes later, the manager, who had just served our drinks, came over and said they had taken a booking and we needed to leave in 5 minutes. We said we would be leaving within 30min at end of half time (5:45pm) however they insisted we leave. We were confused. The manager used the poor excuse that because we had paid our bill, the till marked our table as available, and they had taken an online booking. I know for a fact this wasn’t true. Instead of being honest and admitting they had a walk-in customer waiting and had promised our table without asking us if we were leaving, they chose to upset a repeat customer with their weak excuse. We had to demand a refund for our drinks as we were not prepared to rush through them, which they did refund. There were many ways to handle the situation, but the one they took has left us with an extremely unpleasant experience and really disappointed ! one we certainly do not want to repeat. We won’t be in for Sunday lunch tomorrow, nor back anytime soon.

We have always been fans of The Noose and Monkey but hadn't been for a while so recently reserved a table for a Sunday meal. As usual the place was busy and buzzing when we arrived and there was a DJ playing tunes which thankfully weren't too loud. We had a roast beef and fajitas followed by a sticky toffee pudding. We were delighted with our food and found the service friendly and helpful. Hopefully it won't be as long until our next visit.

A very unpleasant encounter with the manager. I really do not understand why such rude people enter the hospitality industry. The pub used to be an amazing place, my local, it's so depressing that it has lost it's warmth & good service. Other customers left too due to the disappointment they also felt.

Fantastic restaurant, staff were so welcoming, friendly and delivered great service. We took out dogs, they were fussed over by staff and customers and given a water bowl. The food was superb, couldn’t fault it. Would definitely return, great food decor and atmosphere 👍😀

Ate here a couple of weeks ago, had the beef fajitas which were great. Not too expensive and no shrinkage of portion size either. The staff are very friendly and great service provided for the couple of hours we were there. Worth a visit if you haven't been for a while.

Absolutely lovely place and staff excellent. Only issue was not being advised about sides with the roast which we would have ordered for my hungry son Nathan. Ordered a pudding which was delicious sticky tofee pudding exceptioal.Pancakes with fruit mpote and yogurt delightful ldespite pancakes rather firm. Needs buttermilk or baking soda.Loved the bloody Mary with olives and gherkins. Very unusual and fab flavour..

We visited the Noose and Monkey for a meal before heading to HMT on a Saturday night. We booked online and were pleased to find it was busy despite being early in the evening, so it had a great atmosphere. Despite being busy, we were served quickly and efficiently by pleasant staff. Food was excellent. Great selection of nibbles (which we had as a starter). Nacho chicken burger was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

I met my wife there 22 years ago and it's still a great pub

Looking for food at 20:00 last night. Being a Monday, not very busy. We were made very welcome. Good honest pub grub, just what we needed. Excellent service. Have only been in for a pint once before, but will certainly be back soon.

Main food dishes are great. Ordered a side of toast with breakfast not so great, I think the waiting staff knew that as they avoided my table once they gave me the toast. However, I would definitely be back as the food is delicious.

The service was really good, very prompt and nice. The atmosphere was cozy 🙂 We had a sunday chicken roast. And a Bloody Mary Meal was tasty, but size was very small 😒 I enjoyed the bottle of red wine though. Not too pricey

Good pub food in a nice vibe pub . Staff were super friendly and helpful. Plentiful portions . Burgers homemade and huge ! Only criticisms. Toilets need attention and the lack of maintenance of the external appearance of this premises was initially off putting

Corner bar / restaurant with friendly staff. Decent food at a decent wait time. Soft drinks super beer was ok… I’m assuming the pipes were just cleaned on my visit. Restaurant lay out of tables in middle /upper platform to the left and table top bar style around the right windows. The bar it’s self is a half circle in the middle of the premises.

Great for Sunday lunch.. we didn't go for the roast though the neighbouring table looked very happy with theirs. We shared some Nachos for starters and could have finished there..the mains Chicken Fillets and Bloody Mary burger were braw... drinks were great value too.. super service... Well worth a visit...

Abbiamo cenato in questo pub dopo aver prenotato. Locale ok anche se abbiamo dovuto sollecitare un paio di volte i camerieri per avere il menù... Due risotti, uno di mare e uno di terra ... buoni, veramente buoni! Unico aspetto negativo il gran frastuono dovuto alla musica altissima ed al conseguente vociare altissimo dei presenti. Roba da uscire rimbambiti .. e si che non abbiamo 90 anni!!!! Quindi terminato il pasto rapidamente ce ne siamo andati. Cibo ottimo.. prezzo nella media, ma che casino!!!

Each time I’ve been to The Noose & Monkey I’m nothing short of impressed. Easily one of Aberdeens best restaurants and the service is unmatched. Cocktails are also lovely. If you haven’t been, GO!!

Yes!! I have given 5 stars because the only thing that was wrong was the cheesecake of the day it had no flavour in top half the base was good though! Otherwise another visit is a must!! You'll be pleasantly surprised 😮

A great night out despite the hiccup of our order not making it to the kitchen. Staff very apologetic and food soon appeared after a bit of prompting… food amazing and a great atmosphere.

What a cracking gastro pub. We had excellent margaritas, and a good bottle of Picpoul, but the food looked good. Really nice staff, and a lovely atmosphere.

Ci siamo capitati per caso sabato sera (con tanto di musica dal vivo) e ci siamo trovati così bene che siamo tornati anche il giorno dopo. Cibo molto buono, soprattutto fish and chips (estremamente croccante e abbondante) e il Sunday Roast.

To be fair, we were a bit unsure looking at outside, but boy, were we proved wrong!! Staff were so friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely amazing!! Mussels and haggis for starter, then bloody Mary burger and Rorie pie for mains were to die for!!!!! Huge portions of amazing food!!! . Definitely be back!

Can't fault the food at the Noose, always delicious and good value for money. Unfortunately the service tonight put a real downer on our visit. Despite being one of only 2 tables eating in the whole place we were left sitting waiting for service on multiple occasions. No menus for around 30 minutes when we arrived, our order wasn't put through to kitchen once we placed it although the staff were apologetic for that. Despite asking for the dessert menu no one came back to see if we actually wanted to order or came back with the water we'd requested, meanwhile the staff were having a laugh behind the bar. Such a shame as we've been to the Noose a lot in the past and recommended to friends and family but not sure we'll be rushing back after our latest experience.

Booked last minute - on the recommendation of my daughter. Now kicking myself as I have waled past this place a hundred times and never gone in. Food was exceptional, service, attentive, but not in your face. Shetland mussels perfectly cooked, probably the best ever, fish and THE burger ( bloody mary) simply amazing. Cocktails...dont ask, out of this world. Counting down the minutes to try the brunch menu tomorrow...

What an amazing culinary experience we had! Their food is amazing! Everything is delicious! We had their roast and it was truly delicious!! We also had their beautiful pies and desserts! Awesome little pub, with actual decent craft beer on tap. Did not have any food but the menu looked great.the bartender was fantastic.

Made a booking for 1730 for 1.5 hours for food and drinks. The place is a ver nice atmosphere and great food. I had the salmon and prawn risotto, wife just ended up with an appetizer of nachos with cajun chicken, and my kid had a half portion of fish and chips as no actual kids menu, but will tailor a portion size for a child and charge a price for that portion which is very appreciated. My wife said the nachos were some of the best she has had, which is not what you'd expect to find in Scotland. They had lots of cheese and looked very good. The risotto was very good and was one of the several gluten free options on menu. The fish and chips for a half portion was still huge and looked very good. They also had a good drinks menu with some very nice scotches. Highly recommend if stop in Aberdeen or passing through and needing something to eat.

First visit since the 80’s. Absolutely loved the burger with nachos and cheese with jalepinios. Actual proper real potato chips were amazing. Prompt efficient service. No room for pudding. Will be back to try afternoon tea

We've had breakfast here a couple of times now. It's really, really good. The options are great for meat-eaters and vegans alike. The coffee is excellent and the atmosphere of the place is great.

Such a lovely spot. The food was great (I had the scampi and my friend had the pie, we were both impressed). The staff were incredibly attentive and just lovely. The venue is really beautiful and they are dog friendly, too! I'll be back for sure.

Delicious food and excellent, appropriate friendly service. It's been a week while since I visited and the place has been revamped, a long with the menu. It's much better than "pub grub" and you can see that the food is made for you, and not to meet a company standard. It's beautifully presented. The staff are very professional and friendly without being overattentive. Everything arrived in good time. You aren't overwhelmed with music or TV being on for the sake of it. Definitely happy to revisit.
