NowNow Cafe in West Lothian

Stopped for lunch with a friend from SA so he could try the bunny chow on the menu. He was satisfied. I personally add baked potato with coronation chickpea which was very delicious and filling and an oat cappuccino which was very smooth and tasty. This was my second or third time here and definitely not the last !

Being walking past this place for years, NOT anymore! Went in yesterday...SUPERB!! Quality burger, lovely and fresh meals all round ALL clean plates.Friendly staff, clean, good vibe WELL DONE! As Big Arnie would say "Al Be Back"!

I used to go there on my off days for lunch. But recently, the quality of the food is not like before. My opinion is that not much attention and care is put into the way the food is prepared anymore. Unfortunately what is meant to be fresh vegetables on your plate, sometimes arrive bitten by fridge frost. Before you cold hear lovely background music, not anymore. The waiters also avoid eye to eye contact. But do try it out, at least once.

Something different for Livingston, the bunny chow was fantastic, would highly recommend.

This was my first visit to this café, I have always passed it and it's always busy, but you do get a table quick, staff are very friendly and are quick with service but you don't feel rushed. They have a brilliant choice on their menu. There are gluten-free, alternative dairy and vegan options. I had a gluten-free tuna toastie with salad, chips, and fresh orange drink, it was delicious. My partner had roast chicken toastie with salad, chips, and fresh mango drink, and again, delicious. They have a wide variety of drinks - milkshakes, ice cream drinks, hot chocolate, coffees, teas, and loads of syrups, along with juices.

Place is fantastic offers great choice if you need gluten free or vegetarian It’s a highlight when I go to Livingston. Staff are all lovely and helpful if I could give more stars I would massive thumbs up 👍

Absolutely lovely brunch experience with the wife and two little ones. There was space for the buggy and high chairs for both. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. The food was much better than I expected. Manager lady was SO helpful with our awkward allergies and made it much easier for us to get a nice brunch out. Genuinely could not find a single reason to knock any stars off. We will definitely be back.

Food was absolutely amazing and they were very catering for my two girls in their wheelchair's. There was one girl who had just stated that day (12th October) which we would have been none the wiser if she hadn’t said. We had ordered two steak baguettes and some kids meals. We opted to have no honey mustard sauce in the steak baguette, another lady come over also lovely and asked if we were allergic to mustard or just didn’t like it and insisted we tried it first, she come over with a small pot and let us try it.. it was beautiful, thank you for giving us that option as we wouldn’t have bothered if not. Also thank you for being so patient with my three girls. Lovely place excellent value and the next time we are back in Livingston we will definitely be revisiting! Thanks 🙏

We asked for a hard egg both arrived runny - sausages not cooked The plate was not replaced with the fresh food - we was asked did we want sauces none arrived Staff were so unfriendly one lady was shouting at me The pic shows the runny yolk left hidden under the sausage meaning the plate was not changed

Lovely place, the staff were friendly the food was nice, I had a bacon, brie and cranberry toasties. It was lovely. With a salad and coleslaw. They do a good variety of stuff for the person with us who has food allergies,

Unique. Probably the best breakfast you can find in Centre

Food was over priced for what you get and nothing special, but what was disappointing was listening to the waitress “targeting” older people by saying to them when paying the bill “would you like me to round that up as the bill doesn’t include a service tip” what a cheek and if people want to leave a tip they will. Noticed she didn’t try it with younger customers… shocking and because of this we won’t be back. Not accommodating to smaller appetites either was abruptly told the menu is what it is and cannot be changed!

1st time here, and it was amazing, I would not hesitate to recommend this place. Great selection of food and the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Will be back xx

Being a SA in Scotland, what better place to get the taste of "home". The food is always incredible, service is quick and friendly. Staff go out of their way to fulfil all your expectations. I felt at home, like visiting a friend and to also making new SA friends dining. Will definitely be my go to place. It's just "lekker" 😊

Was not happy with the wait before being seated even though there were plenty of empty tables, some of the staff were staying clear of seating us (inexperienced) the food is far too expensive for nothing special. Won't be back

Very good. Excellent service and great food

Despite being very busy and a few people before us in the queue we were seated very quickly. I was there for brunch and had a roll on haggis. The roll was lovely, the haggis top quality but the roll did not appear to have been buttered so was slightly dry. However I have been before and will go again but I will ask for the roll to be buttered and given the calibre of service I'm sure my request won't be am issue.

Had the apple cinnamon sort of a muffin and it was very moist and delicious!!! Sadly the carrot cake was. Bit on the dry side. Staff were all super friendly and eager to assist even though it was closing time, they still accommodated us.

Altogether a great experience. Will go again soon.

What a fabulous find …. This cafe provides everything you would want … fabulous food, extremely pleasant staff, great value… we never have a trip into Livingston without a visit … keep up the good work guys, love it 🥰

That was a perfect choice to go for a breakfast. Very tasty panini, kind and lovely service and perfect coffee. I will be back to try some more delicious options.

Absolutely delicious food and drinks. I tried honey musturd chicken salad and turmeric latte. Amazing. The staff were so welcoming and helped me with my dog (allowed when carried only) when the hot weather surprised us and the little dog got extremely thirsty.

Visited today, had such a warm welcome from the staff. Perfect place for gluten free food, lots of options and the apple pie was absolutely delicious!!

visited today and latte was burnt , i kindly asked for replacement, the most arrogant member of staff laughed in my face basically telling me that it can not be burnt, I have never received such disrespecftul arrogance in all my life

Fantastic food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff

My mum and I got a tea pot for two. It came in a lovely tea set (as seen in photo) and was delivered with smiles on the servers faces. For food I had the soup of the day, lentil soup, and it was gorgeous. On the larger side serving wise for me, but I don’t eat much. I was fighting with myself to try finish it because I was enjoying it so much. My mum had a macaroni and cheese, it was delicious and just the right amount for her. I 100% recommend, friendly attentive staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Not to mention the amazing food.

Just had an absolutely stunning lunch here, absolutely 100% beautiful! Very glad that we took the time to stop in for a bite to eat. The staff are very friendly, attentive and welcoming, and the whole place had such a unique and cool vibe that was really relaxing. 11/10 would recommend any day of the week!! :) already looking forward to coming back!

Took hubby and my 2 teenage boys for lunch at Now Now. Despite it being very busy, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly, helpful and a real credit to the cafe. The food was delicious and very fairly priced. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back 😊

Very cosy and quaint little cafe in Livingston. First time me and my partner have been and it's a gorgeous little place with lovely tasty food as well as very friendly staff who are on the ball if you need anything. We will be returning ❤️

Great independent cafe, with delicious food and excellent service from Gail and the team. This was our second visit, while we were taking my daughter shopping for her birthday. As such her chicken nuggets arrived with birthday candles. Great South African food here too and there are so my lovely touches like the varied tea sets. Wouldn't go anywhere else now when we come to shop in Livingston!

This is a perfect place to eat if you're shopping, or of you just want to eat! The food and drinks here are to die for and all the staff are polite and professional. They have a wide range of food that can accommodate to people with allergies aswell. Everyone needs to come here at least once in their life!!

Have you ever tried a Prego Roll? Oh you simply must, but don't just go anywhere for it, go to NowNow. Prego, is a very traditional South African / Portugese dish of very spicy fried steak. The one that I had here really tasted like home. Can't wait to have my next one.

This place is an absolute diamond, everything about it is superb. It's a family run business and such a refreshing change. It's very welcoming and the staff are so caring, you can tell that every single one of them is passionate about their business. Their food is amazing too, everything is made with love and it shows. If you are shopping and need somewhere to eat, go and sit down in a warm and welcoming environment, and eat some great food. You won't be disappointed

Fantastic Cafe ,Had the full Scottish Breakfast can quite honestly say this was the best quality Haggis and Black pudding I’ve eaten in a long time food is always prepared fresh and presented properly,staff are warm and welcomed attentive,couldn’t fault anything ,great experience will be back soon .

It’s been a year since we were last here. So glad we came back, very convenient for mum in wheelchair fitted into table for 3 of us in front part of cafe, this appealed to mum gave her opportunity to people watch to see if she saw any familiar faces as she doesn’t get to centre on her own anymore and has been coming up to centre for 40+ years. Such pleasant staff and owner very welcoming, sorry didn’t get young woman’s name wore glasses and had coloured tied back hair. Anyway on to important facts, good menu, plenty of choices. Mum enjoyed a bowl of homemade soup with morning roll, husband had macaroni with garlic bread and side of chips which he said was tasty and I had an enjoyable Worst sausage on roll also with chips which didn’t really need but enjoyed. I enjoyed my flat white coffee unfortunately had no space for dessert or cakes. This came to a very reasonable cost and all were very satisfied with food and service in this popular cafe. Makes coming to Centre worthwhile.

Wow the girl that served my colleague and myself really made my day , she was so happy and very friendly and had a smile to melt anything, she's an absolute asset to you , didn't get her name , but she had dark hair and glasses such a beautiful human being

Best choice ever! The staffs are very friendly, the food came very quickly, warm, and delicious. I ordered a beef burger with salad and fries. My husband ordered beef and caramelised onions baguette. We wanted desserts, but the food is so well served that wasn’t space in our belly for more food. We will need to come back definitely to try the desserts and eat again the delicious food we had. 😋

Very friendly staff, a lovely place but unfortunately I can’t say much about the food. Got a baked potato which was brown inside and covered in far too much horrible coleslaw could hardly see the cheese, I sent it back and got a cheese and onion toastie, which wasn’t much better taste less cheese and cost a fortune sorry I won’t be back

This is a hidden gem in Livingston. The food is excellent, high quality and fresh. I had the open New York Deli Pastrami sandwich on sourdough. It has heaps of pastrami, fresh sourdough bread, delicious pickles and red coleslaw on the side. I can thoroughly recommend NowNow. Friendly efficient staff too.

We were encouraged to try Nownow for the breakfast as they really do cater for Gluten free and dairy intolerant people. The breakfast was lovely, my wife also managed to get a roll for a change. Country breakfast was lovely. The cakes were a nice finish. Staff chatted and it was a great atmosphere. Thank you all at Nownow.

10/10 the food and drinks are amazing! And they bring the food in under 20 minutes! If you’re looking for food and drinks quickly this is the place to go.

Ordered cheese and ham toasties here for lunch. Worst toastie I've ever had.. It was cheese and ham with the cheese not melted which made it very dry. The little bit of salad was bland no dressing. Plenty of eating places in Livingston I will not be back.

We found ourselves in Livingston for a short period and didn't want to eat at the fast food eateries that are typical of shopping malls. For the first couple of visits, we had coffee and cake which was very nice and the staff were thoughtful in their accommodation of us with our infant child. I really recommend the milkshakes which they will make thicker on request. Honestly, the milkshake was among the best that I have had and I consider myself something of a milkshake connoisseur! For those that like a more grown up drink, my wife recommends the turmeric latte. The mac n' cheese, cheesecake and vegiburger were also very nice. Try and get seated inside if you can for the best atmosphere.

I've been to this cafe a few times and every experience has been positive, the food and drinks have been fantastic and the service is always excellent! The owner goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and if you have kids, they are always welcome and there's colouring with crayons for entertainment. I've had issues with my pram in other cafes, but there's always been room here. There are a few mentions of price in other reviews and while I wouldn't say it's cheap, the quality is excellent! It's not just home-made quality, but pattisserie quality! The coffee is also very good quality!

Irdered blt bagel and american sandwich. Dry and over cooked bacon. Stale bagel. Stale sourdough bread. Lack of dressing or mayo. Over priced poor quality food. Complained but excuses were given, food not refunded only 1 drink as a gesture...asked for bill and made to wait as a return for complaining. No sorry nor willingness to listen. Real shame!

Vegan options available, only had one dessert option left when we visited but the brownie was really good so I'll allow it! Staff were really friendly and attentive, coffee was really good too. My dining partner rated the warm scone and portion sizes were good for the price.
