Olive in Hackney

Visited this place few years ago and been recommending it since. Delicious pizza with really well made toppings (in house and fresh), we were served despite being rather late. Also prices are fantastic and very refreshing in comparison with most of London.

Really lovely staff and amazing pizza! It’s so affordable for the quality of the food. Would highly recommend.

I go a lot to here. Nice people who run it and nice coffee.

According to Google there open at 8am but yesterday around 11am mark I tried to buy me a tea and according to guy there yesterday who was eating at the time who rudely said that they weren't open yet. I was ok fine. As I tried to look at the menu he kept on rudely saying they weren't yet so I left and then went elsewhere for lunch later on in the day. If the guy hadn't been so rude as I tried to look at menu I might of eaten lunch their. I suggest that they change their opening hours on Google and put a menu on the outside so people can look at it without being rudely interrupted.

A real hidden gem! Popped in for a quick bite to eat before a gig at Hoxton Hall. The staff were attentive and the pizza was delicious! Great value for money. Highly recommend!

Just had coffee here with a friend and they treat you like family. Best place to get food as well.

Delicious pizza's and lasagne. The lasagne sauce was very nice. My son was very happy with his margarita with sweet corn and olives and chocolate milkshake. The atmosphere was very relaxed and staff was very friendly.

Dirty toilet and sink, very limited selection of cold drinks (water and coca cola only) and a bit noisy. Not somewhere I'll be coming back to!

Wanting to go to this place for a while. My take away pizza was a disappointment. A little under cooked. Would try them again as friendly, independent and local. I won't be ordering pizza.

Best place in Hoxton to get a pizza and Ciabatta. Awesome staff and the owner is such a great guy. Always happy and delivers a top service!

Lovely wee place! We got 2 delicious 12 inch pizzas, one for under a fiver and one for £7! Amazing value and very friendly and helpful staff, wish i lived nearby!

I went to Olive for the first day as a mother day invite from my lovely DD. We had a choice of different sandwiches full of Mediterranean flavours We opted for the chicken/avocado, sundried tomatoes/mushrooms and halloumi/humous ones They were delicious and toasted to perfection We had it with coffee and could choose from an array of good quality brands. I had a Blueberry tart to finish The staff were very kind and made me feel welcome despite my disability. They were engaging without being involved in our table conversation as I like it. They were very understanding of their customers needs by not only patiently explaining the options on offer but by listening and making efforts to get customers what they fancy. I will definitely go back because it nice to go to those who have a nice boutique but also show appreciation to their customers

Staff are polite and friendly, the food is made to order and my favourite was the chicken pesto panini. Worth a try if you are in the area and good for lunch stop...

Quiet nice with an amazing food

Great service - stopped over for a quick morning drink so can’t comment on the food. I wanted a orange juice and they apparently had no fruit in but kindly went and bought some. They made quite literally the best fresh orange juice I’ve had in the uk!

I visited the olive cafe few times ago and i tried their pizzas and cakes it was very tasty and the pizzas was alright, but recently I had a neapolitan pizza and i think it was the best pizza I had ever 😃. The bearded chef made it deliciously and amazingly like the way I like the pizza 👍 Thank you very much for the staff too they were very friendly ,I will see you soon 😊🍕🍕🍕

In the main road Hoxton, next to the city the most tasty pizzas affordable and magnificent customer service. The level of humbleness given to me by the owners was amazing. He offered us a beautiful latte and tea at the end just for courtesy

We love coming to Olive. The food is tremendous and ridiculously cheap. Such value for money and a complete hidden treasure. The staff are friendly and accommodating - really kind to my children. Overall we love Olive!!!

I've just finished my favourite Fiorentina pizza- perfectly cooked on a thin crispy base. Olive is outstandingly good and incredibly reasonably priced. It's really worth heading for this place either to sit out on the street or take-away. I live in the neighbourhood and always go here first rather than the neighbouring places. I can see I'm not alone in recommending. Enjoy

Just hoovering up the pizza-bones of a perfectly cooked Fiorentina and moved to share how good, friendly and wonderfully cheap this place is. It's a real local gem and definitely the best in the neighbourhood.

We had pizza at Olive. Very tasty. The owner and the staff are very nice and the service was outstanding.

Stumbled upon ‘Olive’ today as we were drawn to the window by the lovely cake selection. We were served by the owner himself, Jakob who was just lovely and had excellent customer care. We walked away with yummy treats for such a reasonable price and Jakob even gave us a cheeky cheesecake on the house. We had a little look at the menu and they do a wide range of pizzas, sandwiches and pastries (super cheap) Can’t wait to come back. Support local!

Pleasantly surprised! I went with my Italian girlfriend who was sceptical at first. However, the food was excellent and the prices very good by London standards. Definitely recommended

Nice and good price pizza place

This was a great find. We were visiting the area for Columbia Flower Market and wanted a sit down meal in the warmth. The pizza was delicious, the dough made freshly daily, as well as fresh ingredients, and the prices were so reasonable. It meant we could eat out as a family. So happy we found Olive today 😁

Not sure who owns it now but came in to get lunch and the guy was standing behind the counter eating from the prepped food whilst watching something via headphones. He can barely be bothered to acknowledge me and when he does he takes one headphone out and speaks with his mouth filled with food...my appetite disappeared

We used to live just across the road from this gem, seriously miss it since moving. Pizza - top notch, prices - excellent, staff - friendly and efficient. There is literally nothing to like about this place.

They have the best pizzas for example when I went to Italy all the pizzas were no were near as good as olive also they are very cheap. Also does anyone know what oven they used, I am interested in making my own pizzas and I want it to be as close tasting as the thin crispy pizzas olive have. If you know what they used please tell me it would we GREAT help

The Olive is a great place to go to they do very good quality Peter's 12-in very low cost noticed lots of students go there for their lunch get a 12-in pizza and then share it between two very friendly staff highly recommended

We stumbled across this place on our way to a gig at the macbeth, and what a find! I had a pizza and the husband had a pizza baguette and salad niscoise plus a drink and it came in at £12! Huge portions of fresh tasty food. Highly recommended

We often get a pizza for lunch or after work at Olive as it is one of the best places to get good quality pizza for reasonable money. Pizzas are all stone baked and thin crust. Recommend to order via phone beforehand so you don’t have to wait when you’re there because the queues can be quite long sometimes.

Seriously It is the best base and the pizza with the freshest ingredients you can have in a pizza. These other big brands are nothing but a fraud.

Excellent food, great prices, lovely atmosphere, the staff can just be a little chaotic. But I would highly recommend. Just try to come whilst it's quiet.

This place is a little gem. A very well priced cafe, with good quality pizzas and plentiful salads. Great for kids too. In an area now full of expensive, "trendy" places, it is a breath of fresh air. The staff are really friendly and service is fast. Really good indeed!

This Is a nice place. It isn't run down that's just the Hoxton style. Pizza is great here, cooked to order with fresh ingredients, and I personally believe a very fair price. Staff are very friendly too.

Were very late, but they said no problem, got some really good pizza (you can check how they prepared from scratch) and enjoyed immensely! Great find in Hoxton, and so cheep aswell for this quality! Fully recommended!

Looks a bit run down but good sandwiches at reasonable prices - approx £3 ish.

Nice location and friendly staff. I've eat an italian pizza margherita (like shows) but it was not very well. Pizza dough is good, also the flavour but the ingredients are very far from italian margherita. In every case, good for the price.

I was amazed to find that I could get a meal for under a fiver in London. I would have walked straight past this place if it hadn't been recommended by a friend; it's no-frills simple decor is not what I have come to expect from this part of London, but I like that a "normal" place like this can survive here. There seemed to be a lot of local people in having a quick bite, or coming to collect pizzas to take away. The service was standard and without flourish, and the margarita pizza was tasty and filling. I am not local, and I'm sure that local people don't need to be told that this place exists, but I would recommend to those who are a bit sick of all the pretentious expensive eateries that have taken over generally. There are still sweet simple places to find if you care to look.
