Always good food. I don't know why people give bad reviews. Never had a problem. Really good Chinese food

We ordered several dishes, one was okay, the rest were extremely disappointing - if you ever have to call them about your order they are very rude

This is my go-to takeaway, I've been ordering from Oriental House through Just Eat for the past 2 years and I have never had any problems. The food is always on time, hot, and tastes great. I especially love their starter selections and their special offers. I was sad to see negative reviews when I only have good things to say about Oriental House! It is always good value for money and a really lovely business. Thank you!

Astonishingly awful service. Terrible people making excuses and lying to cover their incompetence and carelessness. We ordered and waited 1hr50mins to still have no food. We called to be met with someone rudely going back and forth from the phone, forgetting our postcode despite being told it more than twice and finally claiming their kitchen had staffing issues (they then changes the reason for the failure). The order was then cancelled without proper explanation. A terrible business that deserves to fail if they cannot do the primary thing they are supposed to do - make and deliver food. Save yourself the stress.

We ordered from Oriental House a couple of weeks ago. We ordered via Uber Eats (and have only finally got the wheels in motion for a refund today!!). We ordered a few dishes and when the driver arrived he had 2 different orders. He looked confused and asked me to check if either order was mine. I checked the receipts neither were for us. Obviously, as neither order were our order, I didn't take either of the bags. The driver told me to call the takeaway and left with the food he had brought. I then called Oriental House to explain what had happened. I was very calm on the phone and just explained that the wrong orders were sent and asked for them to resend our actual order. The man at the takeaway then shouted abuse at me down the phone. I was told I was stupid for not just taking one of the other orders that wasn't mine. He kept shouting at me saying I should have opened the boxes in the other bags and checked them all. Especially during these times I highly doubt it is best practice to send random orders around London and get everyone to have a look in the boxes to check if it's their order. After shouting at me down the phone for around 5 minutes, the man then said he was going to investigate but actually just put the phone on the counter for a long time, forcing me to hang up. When we called back again later we were greeted with nothing but abuse, again. From looking at the previous reviews it may look like we had a lucky escape from the disgusting food they do eventually serve. I would urge people not to order from here, they don't deserve the custom when they speak to their customers so disgustingly when it is THEM who have made the mistake.

Confused as to why this has bad reviews because I thought the food was lovely and fresh, great portions - very pleased and will be ordering again!

I absolutely love noodles and all Chinese food tbh and was really looking forward to a meal here. The noodles were gross. The chicken balls tasted like baby vomit and the spring rolls were barely edible. The sweet and sour sauce smelt like dirty bar mats. And the overall experience was a disaster.

It's always a bit sad when your local, go-to takeaway gets taken over by new owners who lack the most basic customer service skills, competence or respect for a cuisine they are meant to be doing justice to. Used to order from here all the time and despite its questionable name and logo, used to be a staple and safe bet for takeaways. I had heard that under new management it had gone down hill but I refused to believe it. Ordered from here yesterday and took a chance after a year hiatus, despite being told it would take 75 minutes to arrive. In the end it took close to 2 hours; rang and spoke to manager while waiting and was non-chalantly told it would be another 5 when it was already late. When the food arrived, the sweet and sour chicken was stone cold and the meat chewy. The Crab meat and sweetcorn soup, which was quite literally yellowy gloop was tasteless and bland. The 'crabmeat', which was shamelessly crab sticks had been boiled to the point of mush and could only be recognizable by their infamous pink stripes. The wrong chow mein was sent and the beef meat was dry, doused in salty brothy water. Egg fried rice had no actual egg in it. Everything was ether lukewarm or watery to the extent that Im not even sure the food was made in-house. The shared Hors d'oeuvre's had been undeniably reheated from a previous order or left to cool and heated back up, evident from the shrivelled texture of the spring roll's pastry. Never again.

My partner and I ordered food from Oriental House the other day. The food was alright but not outstanding and the delivery time was longer than it should have been. I wouldn't order from them again unless they speed up their delivery and improve the food.

Visited here and asked for Chicken Chow Mein, and paid extra for extra chicken. God only knows what tiny bits of reclaimed meat I'd have got if it was a normal portion! Have a look at the picture and play"spot the chicken". Called to complain and was told "the chicken is in the noodles". Obviously I was grateful for this nugget of information as clearly the mysteries of a chow Mein had been thus far hidden from my life. Not going to go all the way back to return it, I'll just vote with my feet. You should too, as the are plenty of other food outlets all together.

The only things they can cook are prawn crackers and seaweed. Everything else was downhill from there. To the point that even chopped cucumber was dried out and carrot like in texture. Starters Prawn Toast- Mean. Small, misshapen, saturated in fat and under cooked in the middle. Spring Roles- Ungenerous, under-filled and raw. Spare Ribs- Dry and meat less. Like trying to eat dehydrated fat with a bone in the middle. Chicken Skewers - Dry, no satay sauce instead thick coagulated curry. Seaweed- Good. Crispy Duck - over cooked, dry and Fatty. Spring onions and Cucumber- Cucumber was a day or more old and dried out. Similar in texture to a carrot. Spring onions; straw like. Both Cucumber and Spring Onions were warm. Hoisin sauce - "Dry". More like sludge in the bottom of it polystyrene container. Never seen such thick sauce from a Chinese restaurant. Mains Thai Green Curry - Reasonable, but overly watery. Could have cooked better myself Satay Chicken - Never received. Sweet and Sour chicken turned up instead and it was rank. Tasted like chicken in syrup. Singapore Noodles - Passable. This was the only other edible part of an otherwise wholly disappointing meal. Just to add I rarely bother writing reviews, but this meal was so bad that I was moved to do this to ensure nobody ever orders the same appalling food.

This takeaway really is one to be avoided. We ordered a takeaway on 20th November which was: a) late arriving, and b) inedible once it did arrive. The chicken used in the chicken fried rice was clearly not fresh and was rock hard, the crispy beef had congealed, and the egg fried rice was missing a key ingredient - the egg! Rang up to complain and were told we would be given a refund. The manager then changed his mind the following day and decided he would not honour a refund because we had given them a bad review on Just Eat. Subsequently phoned them half a dozen times to speak directly to the manager who, shock horror, was unavailable. They simply don't care about the quality of their food or customer service and think they can serve up any old rubbish. Apparently their attitude is one of "write us a bad review and you give up any right to a refund". Cowboys.

Delicious! Prompt delivery, well packaged and hot. We've ordered here several times and its consistently good but this time was the best! We recommend Sliced Fillet Steak with Ginger & Spring Onion, Chicken with Broccoli, Braised Aubergine with Sea Spicy Sauce, Vegetable Chow Mein, and desserts.

Thai Green Curry is terrible. Not authentic at all and spicy but with very little flavour. Vegetables in it were very over-cooked. Would definitely not recommend.

I was so ill after eating the food and wasted so much as my guest didnt like it.

Food was extremely late beyond what was promised (1hr 17 mins) I ordered had the Hors D'Oeuvres (for 2 Persons) - no sweet & sour sauces, no BBQ sauce, nothing. Just a salty satay sauce which wasn't tasty. Rice was nice. Way too much money for something pretty thrown together with no thought. Don't think we'll order again - shame because I really thought it would be good after reading reviews :(

Ordered Thai food. Not authentic Thai food and thus tasted horribly wrong. However portion sizes were generous. But I wouldn't recommend if it's authentic Thai food you're after.

Great squid. Not much meat in the dumplings and not much duck in the Cantonese dish and was very chewy had to throw alot in tissue after chewing for so long

Just had the most disgusting Thai Green Chicken Curry from this place. They should not be marketing themselves as a Thai takeaway. The curry was not made properly, there wasn't even any coconut milk/cream in the curry. I ate 4 mouth fulls and had to throw out the rest as it was so bad... Might be ok for Chinese food, but this is not a Thai takeaway.

Very disappointed, having used and loved Oriental House before we were shocked by the take away this time. It took over an hour to arrive and when it did arrive the currys were very flavourless, the fish skewers were in some other sauce (did not taste like satay), the chips were cold and soggy. I assume they were very busy and this is why but all the same most of the food got thrown away.

1st time used very nice, pad Thai let it down rest was very nice would use again.

This place is so hit and miss it's ridiculous. I ordered from here a couple of weeks ago and the food was lovely and today everything was overcooked. The chow mein was very sticky and the beef far too chewy. For the price they charge, the food should be of a much better standard than this.

The delivery guy made me feel inconvenient for not having the right change. He was so confused with the change I ended up letting him have a tip so I could get rid of him. Everything on the order was really unsatisfactory, in particular the green curry was inedible. Really disappointed !

The sweet and sour sauce is hands down the best sauce I have ever had. That is no small statement. The chow mien is generous with the meat which is a change from the norm. I don't even write reviews but this food is GOOD!

I was really disappointed with the dumplings. They were advertised as grilled but we're "steamed" and there was some nasty looking rice stuck to them. Chilli squid was on point though, but there could have been a couple more pieces given the price. Overall a bit disappointed but what do you expect from this kind of takeaway place - I'd have been robbed of the mediocre takeaway experience. So if you're not looking for anything particularly fancy then it's not too bad. They delivered on time unlike some places.

My wife and I order a lot from various takeaways and I was absolutely appalled by the quality of this Chinese. Having paid £36 we had to throw it away after tasting it. How this establishment has rated highly before is beyond our comprehension. Stay away.

It was a late order about 11ish, so the delivery driver decided to play a tune with my door bell waking up my whole house. Not happy, when I opened the door the he advised me that the ice cream I ordered was out is stock so replaced it with another flavour. The could have phoned me and let me know as this has happened in the past. Anyway. He handed me my bag and said goodbye. Upon opening I realised I had two orders of spring rolls and no dumplings. Without any shadow of a doubt THE worst 'Thai' food I have ever eaten. Takeaway? More like Take It Away! What arrived was a tasteless (save for the most ridiculous amount of chilli powder) grey / camouflage coloured sludge of MSG thickened nastiness. Upon tasting this globby, cloying food sp*nk I began to seriously question whether I had in fact made a selection error. What do you expect in a Thai Green Curry. Well, you expect it to be green(ish)? No lemongrass. No galangal. No coconut. This was simply an awful, generic Chinese chicken dish. Shocking. If you can't 'do' Thai then don't advertise THAI!

Delivery man asked for cash despite fact I'd paid on card. And asked very inappropriate questions about our flat and who lived there. I called restaurant to complain but no apology.

Thai Green Curry was a Chinese interpretation...not at all like Thai. Singapore rice tasted of too much curry powder instead of real spices. Chicken in Black Bean Sauce was ok: suggest Oriental House stick to what it is better at: Chinese dishes.
