Great Chinese takeaway, possibly the best in Whitehaven. One of the more expensive ones, but you pay for what you get. Clean facility with friendly staff and tasty food.

We ordered fish n chips..... what a mistake!! The fish was coated in a thick, tasteless and uncooked batter which was inedible. The chips were dry rubbery and cold. Would advise people not to go although the Chinese side might be nicer but highly unlikely

Just bought lemon chicken is was dreadful, really bad. The lemon sauce was just a very poor sweet and sour sauce with a couple slices of lemon in. The chicken fillets where some sort of prossess chicken roll disgusting texture, disgusting taste and to salty to eat then a found a long black hair in the rice as I eat it. What can I say who could eat it less alone finish it. Complete was a £8. Under new management I think give it a very wide berth

Fast service and good food. Reasonable portions & prices. We enjoyed salt & pepper chicken, chicken fried rice and curry sauce. The chips weren't amazing (not freshly fried) so we'd still to Chinese food in future but otherwise pretty good!

Been going to Oriental House for some time usually really nice since changed hands has started to go down hill sorry to say frequently get order wrong potion size gone down and not up to original standard quality been in again tonight both our meals had folts beef tasted over cooked and tough prawn crackers disappointing as a lot broken up

Poped in the autherday after having run out for day couldn't be bothered cooking not as nice as usual as recently changed hands the rice had a unusual strange taist to it NOT sure what

Have had literally hundreds of takeaway meals from this lovely family run establishment over many years, and have never had a meal that both wasn't first class and good value. Many thanks to Connie and her family - it is appreciated!

We get the same order weekly, it's delivered in 30mins and always hot. I ask for my food crispy and it's yummy every time. Please note this is a take away shop.

Really nice friendly staff being regular when I work in they just say are you after usual soon as I confirm within very short time order is ready

My hot & sour soup starter was A1! Lovely - one of the best I've had. But then came my King Prawn Udon noodles. I've never had anything so salty! He clearly didn't taste it before it came out. Also for 4 people it came to £84 which I think is a little pricey. It must've been the drinks as I think my food came to £11. Cans or bottles. No ales. Poor drinks to be honest. Warm beer. Not impressed!

Verry good quality food at good honest price you also get plenty of food staff are always friendly and with being regulars ad you walk in the door ask if you wish usual before you have time for breath the order is on its way to the kitchen
