Beautiful place to eat, relativeley cheap, big portions and all the food is homemade and made with so much care and attention. Unffortunatelly I never took pictures because I was very hungry but my friend and I ordered the whitebait and Squid to start and then as a main we had lamb casserole and we shared everything. They make their own garlic pitta and for dessert we had baklava and turkish coffee. Amazing everything and our waiter Bodan was very friendly and attentive. Would come back to Tenterden just for your food again :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic dining experience at Özgür Turkish Restaurant in Tenterden! The lamb casserole with rice was rich and flavorful, perfectly cooked with tender meat and a delicious sauce. The fried squid - Kalamar Tava and whitebait were crispy, fresh, and seasoned beautifully. But the highlight had to be the freshly made pitta bread — warm, fluffy, and simply the best we’ve ever tasted. For dessert, we enjoyed traditional Turkish coffee paired with baklava — both were divine and a perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant’s interior is stunning, with an authentic and cozy Turkish vibe that adds to the whole experience. The service was attentive and friendly, thank you Bodan for making us feel so welcomed 🤗 Highly recommend for anyone looking for a genuine Turkish feast in a beautiful setting! We can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful evening we had with Mooshie and Frankie last night for New Year's Eve🥳 The atmosphere was fantastic, they worked so hard ensuring we all had a lovely night. All the other customers were great fun and joined in, lovely friendly people. The food was amazing, best steak ever! We danced with the glamorous belly dancer until the early hours. They are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The Mayor of High Halden thoroughly appreciated it. Can't wait to come back!

Overall, it was a good experience, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of Turkish cuisine, but that has not impacted my rating. The food did look very lovely; it was beautifully presented, and the portions were generous. The service was excellent and cannot be faulted as the staff are very welcoming and attentive. It was a New Year's Eve meal, and the restaurant was packed. Unfortunately, I feel that this was where it lost a star due to it being a tight squeeze on the seating arrangements, but I guess under normal circumstances, it is probably fine. It was maybe a little expensive, but again, it was New Year's Eve. It is very popular during the week when I pass by and seems to have loyal and repeat customers. If you are into Turkish cuisine, this is probably a good choice.

We went for lunch. The place was half-empty but they made us wait standing up at the entrance. Too many tables for such a small place, everything crammed together. The waiters seemed too forceful, not the friendly Turkish types we've found at other Turkish restaurants. The food was very mediocre, nothing was well seasoned, even salt was missing from most dishes. The rice was par-boiled, not home cooked from scratch. The meat overcooked and dry. Not even close to Kervan Sofrasi in London. The best thing was the pitta bread, which came warm and had a great texture. The worst thing was discovering that the menu prices of the á-la-carte menu were way higher than those listed in the menu outside. Please update it - it's misleading at best and dishonest at worst. We didn't enjoy the atmosphere either. The music was too loud, making the waiters speak loudly and as a result customers too. A stressful experience and rather disappointing, so we won't be coming back. Thank goodness service was not included in the bill because we wouldn't have paid it.

Stumbled across this place on a road trip. Maybe had been camping so long but this food was divine and what felt like very authentic Turkish cuisine! The service was top notch and had a sense of humour perfect for me and my friends. Sat outside with a lovely view of the high street. Tried the signature strawberry desert to finish our order of all starters and soup shared. Will definitely take a meander back here if ever in the area again.

Fantastic meal and service was brilliant, we had the special 4 course meal which was excellent in every way and very ample portions, in fact my wife had to ask for a takeaway box. Not cheap but not in any way overpriced.

Delicious charcoaled lamb , calamar dish with tomato bulgur and turkish salad, topped of by a friendly waiter, who , like us , loved Elvis. Nice strong turkish coffee. Highly recommended

Food was basic for the price. Waiter thought he was funny but very annoying. Main meal came out and starter plates were still on the table. All in all total rubbish!

What can I say , service was very good ! Food disappointing, uncooked chicken , when I pointed it out to a member of staff he apologised and said ' it happens sometimes ' not really the response you would expect , they re-cooked my meal which meant I had to eat on my own as my partner had finished hers, one thing I found unusual was the fact they gave you bulger wheat and rice , I suppose that's to bulk your plate up as the chicken they do give you is very sparce, I wont be returning unfortunately! Had much better Turkish food at less cost elsewhere !

This restaurant, in my view is the best Turkish restaurant, in the UK,that I and my wife have ever had the pleasure of dining in. We have visited many times over the years. The food is outstanding! The ambience is outstanding! The hospitality and service are outstanding! The host and his team are genuinely friendly, accomodating, courteous with a great sense of humour and knack of putting you totally at ease. Nothing is too much trouble. DO NOT WALK PAST THIS EXCELLENT VENUE!

Wanting something very light our great waiter suggested they might make something up for me which wasn’t even on the menu. “Anything’s possible” he said. That extra mile plus the lovely fresh hot food ensured this was a 5* rating. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place, a bit outdated and in need of renovation. Looks like the menu is the same as from 5years ago on the reviews photos, Only the portions went smaller and prices went up. Service is very friendly, above and beyond. Food is delicious. Very nice vegetarian options

Another FANTASTIC meal at Ozgur. The service was fantastic which started with a warm welcome and continued with a friendly and brilliant service all round and throughout. Food was out of this world. Cooked to perfection. We had the main meal for 2, served with different meats and rice. I don’t normally like lamb but the way they cook it is amazing, great portion sizes I was full up but couldn’t help but eat just that little bit more. I wish I could give more than 5 stars as this place really deserves it.

This was our third visit to Ozgur, the food is good, atmosphere positive, service excellent, prices average. The only downside is, the boss is an Arsenal supporter! Otherwise, a great restaurant!

I visited with my girls on 6th March 2024. The food is of excellent quality, plenty of choice for kids and adults, and very mouth watering to. Staff are friendly and ensure you have a relaxed time. The staff are very attentive and go up and beyond to make your visit wonderful. I can't thank the restaurant enough.

We have been to this restaurant a few times, We have always had a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings. The staff are friendly and polite. The manager never forgets a thing, Your name, Where you like to sit, and what football team you support. A nice way to spend a few hours.

We had sea bass and steak specials! Absolutely bang on! The hummus is delicious as well and I recommend the prawns and kofte balls to start. Mustafa and his team are fantastic and very attentive, I eat often here and in his kebab shop up the road often, and it’s always good. Thank you very much Ozgur!

We spent new years eve here. The service was great the food gorgeous I recommend the sea bass. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your visit. Nothing is ever too much to ask for. One couple in our party of four had not experienced Turkish cuisine before so it was a voyage of discovery for them. We had various starters, including avocado, a meat dish the name of which I forget and some good whitebait which was not too big a portion to ruin the appetite. Mains included chicken kofte in various guises and a fish dish. Having finished our mains, we were not badgered for puds and we were up against a deadline of a pre-booked taxi (they're hard to find in Tenterden), so we missed out on baklava, which I was rather looking forward to. Turkish and ordinary coffees completed the meal. Our friends were impressed, especially by the wine which, it turned out, was from the area where the restaurant's owners come from. Very satisfactory.

Take away Adana kebab, really good tasting minced lamb, good portion size, good quality meet. And I love caramelised meat flavour. Highly recommended 😉

Not been here for a few years, but visited on a Tuesday night recently and was pleased to find that it is all still good. Food excellent service good and friendly. Sure the atmosphere is good on a busier night, but it was a bit quiet on the night. Not complaining however. Will be back

Saw this place and wanted to try it - late afternoon meal and we were welcomed with a nice table - varied menu - we had starters which were fantastic and two types of lamb kebab with salad and two rices - delicious! Baklava and Rice pudding - a really good Turkish wine! Definitely returning!!!

The food was extremely good and the service was excellent to such a degree that when no cabs were available to take us 1.5 miles up the road one of the owners got in his car and insisted on tasking us. Unbelievably considerate service. Above and beyond what I would expect.

We went for a lunchtime mid week. We were a group of ladies. Met with a very warm welcome - We went for the lunchtime special(2courses). Starters were dips and bread and spicy wings. Mains we have chargrilled chicken kebabs.came with rice/ salad etc. was nice but certainly not wow…. If I was going again with my husband I would go for a couple of starters for lunch (A couple sitting close to us has 2 or 3 small p plates and they looked delicious.)

Went to this town randomly and decided to have Turkish food when I saw this restaurant on google maps. We were not expecting much but was surprised as the food was really good and service was amazing. Probably the best Turkish food I've had, and I've lived in the Middle East for 8 years, where there are no shortage of good Turkish restaurants. I ordered their mix grill, one hot and one cold meze. I also ordered Turkish coffee after our meal. We loved everything we ordered.

We came for dinner on a Friday night and it was packed so had a great atmosphere. Service was still fast and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had the lamb shish and chicken shish kebabs and they were delicious, beer was good...
